this man obviously think Nigerians are kids watching cartoons.and maybe he thinks that we are fools.many people here are workers.if he is sincere, why not give exact figures to at least try to earn our trust?he should be able to say I am giving up somuch from my salary.he is being as vague as is possible. besides,all workers know that basic salary is not that much, but when they work out all allowances, the pay shoots up.as well know,is there any political office holder who lives on their salary?the president supposedly earns N3milion per month.we all know that they have their ways of making money-contracts etc. with jona now i know that a phd holder can display less intelligence than a primary school leaver.

It's a ruse,something the govt uses to divert attention and if accepted, turn public opinion on its side.they use pliant journalists to plant such stories,hoping to gain public sympathy for their cause.
however,is it the same ' some marketers' who are paying all the people here and elsewhere online opposing the subsidy?this issue affects every normal Nigerian outside of govt. imagine an elderly cleaner who earns N10k whose transport bill monthly is now N7,200,up from N2,400.

for a one room/self contained flat,prepare for like N80k per annum. for a 2 b/r flat, prepare for between 100-150. depends on the exact location within those areas you mentioned and the facilities inside.

ma,things have changed in ibadan as compared to some years ago.Where I'm staying now in omolayo,akobo cost N1.1 million in 2007 but a plot at the next street just sold for N4million.prices have risen fast everywhere, so you should be prepared.
Both places are already developed, in terms of people already living there. however, the people are mostly lower class and lower middle class. the access roads are untarred and rugged, especially during the rainy season. some are graded during the dry season though.
the only places where you can get good land in ibadan for less than 1M would be semi-rural areas and you can imagine those who live there.
there is a piece of land available though around nickdel area. it's not a full plot, like 3/4s of a plot which fits your budget. i could send you the survey if you wish. let me know if interested.

you can get but on the outskirts of both areas.for akobo, you'll get land for that price around Elewuro/Olorunda, while at Eleyele, you'll get after Gbopa.

I just want to post this to share with you all an example of how real estate pays. I helped someone get a piece of land somewhere in akobo, ibadan last april 2010 at N300,000. I took someone to that same area just two hours ago and we were offered a plot in the same area at a last price of N500,000.
The owner didn't even listen to any plea to go lower, just excused us.
That's a return of 67% in 9 months.
to think that banks now give an interest rate of 1% p.a on fixed deposit of N1M-N50M.
I just gave this example so that you can think seriously about your real estate investments this year.

I watched a bit of NTA news yesternite(on a gen of course) and saw Dora reeling the latest set of billions to be shared by the boys.
I was discussing with my wife that something has changed about her.the old Dora was a rallying point for many in this country.people actually believed in her and saw her as a beacon of hope that things could change. and the whole world really respected her then. However, the person I've been seeing on TV just making announcements about billions and doing little else seems to be a far cry from the past.
what do you guys think?is she still trustworthy like before?

don't underestimate any area in ibadan, or indeed anywhere else in today's market. most of those places you mentioned cost millions per plot, traffic or no traffic.
