Why did Anambra state's ASUU go on strike for 6 months while others states wrre still in session Whilst Peter Obi was still governor?

Medical doctors did same for 13 months.

Obi as we all know was caught with 250 million Naira cash (in Lagos) which he eventually returned to the coffers of Anambra state.

We all know he was cited in the Pandora report expose as having stashed money in Panama.

Obi's son also schooled in UK.

So please let us include him in any criticism we might have of others.

The strike always does not affect the people in power nor their children, this is why they will never do what will bring a lasting solution. This is why I called for prolong peaceful protest by the students for the government to do something to improve the education system in Nigeria.

To be fair, that wasn't as bad as the 13 months strike the state medical doctors embarked on.

If you've learnt anything from Nigerian history, ASUU strikes only lead to and extension in the number of years a student would spend undertaking a degree.

Maybe when you see the 21 year olds graduating and owning homes in UK by the the time they are 25, just maybe then you'll understand this is not in the students interest ultimately.

Tinubu promised to increase budgetary allocation to education if elected as president. Meaning it is possible to increase budgetary allocation to education, Buhari simply choose not to do it because he doesn't care about Nigeria's education sector.

Promises to do not translate to reality.

In any case, government has approached ASUU with countless deals which ASUU has declined.

At the end, students would surely suffer.
They would be half-baked either way, and it would be worse if this half-baked student only graduates after 8 years.

There shall be no budget that would keep universites open for the next 10 years.

Successive governments - military, OBJ, Jonathan and now Buhari, have had several months of academic disruption due to ASUU strike.

Then why can't Sub Sahara African countries experience societal revolution. A simple going out to protest to force the government to increase education budgetary allocation cannot be done. To just sit down look as the people in government do as they like.

Protests leading to Anarchy do not guarantee societal change.
