MY BIRTH STORY
Pregnancy period
I conceived miraculously after 2.9yrs of ttc after so many tests, drugs, hospital visits, spending money etc. I had multiple fibroids and was told to do a surgery, i took in unexpectedly the month i was scheduled to do the surgery. The pregnancy period was very challenging for me, at 6 weeks i had high malaria from then onwards one issue or the other. MS was all day sickness for me and no remedy worked for me. i went days without food cos anything i taste must come out even water, i was being rushed to the hospital almost every week to take drip cos of extreme weakness, i could hardly stand without being supported. I lived on A.vomine every 5am bf anything enters my mouth, then i could now eat one plain eko/agidi and cold water for the day. I also took alot of youghurt.

MS lasted for 5 full months and sometimes show face until after 7 months b4 I started eating, I lost so much weight that you will see Belle but won't see who is carrying it grin grin
So thyphoid fever, fibroid degeneration, premature contractions and bleeding/spotting landed me on admission 7 times. I was told the fibroids were getting bigger and have increased to 5 so the baby might not survive. They were also located at the mouth of the cervix causing a lot of pain, I could not stand, sit or walk for 10 mins cos the weight was resting on the fibroids. I was placed on bed and pelvic rest, no work only go to the bathroom and no kpekus (that one pain dh ehen grin tongue tongue). Also had a strange numbness and pain in my right thigh called meralgia parastetica

I was told that VB will be risky for me so at 34 weeks I should come for steroids for the baby then they will carry out cs. Hubby no gree o, see me see undecided lipsrsealed he said his stand is no cs. Na prayers sort that matter o, thank God it was not too late.

The birth
So fast forward to 39 weeks, I went in for a cs after mild drama from dh, he was looking at my pix throughout the night, ha I said to myself. This oga take it easy na, am coming back o.
I had shaved the day before and catheter was put, was cleaned in the theater and given General anasthesia in my iv line. They were praying when I went off, I could only hear my music from afar. I felt like I was in a big spiral tube spinning round and round, I saw myself going up to different places, I saw a garden with flowers, a fiery red place, an ugly giant, my head and tongue felt so swollen. I was told I was shouting Jesus and screaming 4 different times I came out of the anasthesia, they had to give me 50mg 4 times and later switched to a different drug cos I was trying to stand up from the operating table, I even kicked their tools on the table, male nurses were called in to hold me down. My family outside were already crying and praying bcs the whole hospital could hear my screams.

Meanwhile I heard my baby was brought out by 10:45am with cord around his neck, I heard his cry from another world and that was when I started coming back. From unconscious state I was saying thank you Jesus, my baby, my baby. I didn't know that he was brought to me and I prayed for him with all the drs and nurses saying amen. He was taken to my dh who also prayed for him.

Part two of the surgery began, trying to remove the fibroids. 3 were seen, two were removed but the third one was blocking the cervix and had some adhesions so he couldn't remove it. The Dr later asked me how I managed to conceive with the fibroods and adhesions. I was in the theater for almost 2 hours and everyone outside was afraid but thank God for bringing me out alive. I was taken to the recovery room and another pain started, my back was paining me seriously. I was crying and begging them to turn me.on my side but they refused bcs of the stitches, I was in so much pain and was given injections to knock me out. I woke up by 5pm and asked for my baby to pray for him again, I was asking if he is cute .

Post birth
I stayed in the hospital for 5 days after which I was discharged. I fell ill immediately after naming, from malaria to typhoid, low pcv of 24, swollen legs which started after birth, stomachaused by intestinal gut obstruction, stooling and vomiting and thrombosed pile. Ha, na only me waka come? Was admitted for another 6 days and did a mini procedure to unclot the haemorrhoid. I could not feed my baby and he refused to take formula, when I hear him crying I will start crying too. I had to beg them to hold him beside me and I started breastfeeding while lying down. I was discharged and told to be on a strict liquid diet for 3 weeks. Still on it but am very strong now, thanks to God.

I appreciate all the Mam's here who have kept this thread alive, I learnt so much. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement. Team June like no other, thank you all. My dear, coconut milk was the first thing that entered my son mouth. It'll make the colic mild and not stop it. Baby will still stretch and groan.

I can wait this one out but my daughter took colipan, nospamin, tummy rubbing, bicycle exercise way. She was crying, stretching and groaning that we even went to hospital. We had no choice than to wait till 3months but it was manageable at 2m+

My son stretches and groans when he's feeding..is it still a sign of colic?

I'm having serious contractions started since last night and the timing is so close and irregular, sometimes 3minutes other times 2,5,9. I'm still at home sha cos I don't want to go to the hospital yet and be told to go back home.

You suppose don reach hospital o..they can't send u back na..ure overdue already!

I strived but submit to God's will, for He knows all. When it was just few weeks left to August 25th. I fell to labour and before I could say Jack, the water gushed out on first Sunday. I was rushed to nearby hospital where I gave birth to my Angel but she only survived few minutes. Everything happened suddenly but thank God I'm alive because the delivery was serious as the baby was brought buttocks first. I lost lot of blood but I survived it all though my baby girl is no more.

I don't know how to handle the loss especially when my b..bs full and no baby to feed. Pray for me pls

Oh God! The Lord himself shall comfort u.

I’m grateful to God almighty for this journey.
I remembered joining this thread last year March after I took in and as a ftm, I started getting all the lessons with respect to pregnancy from this great family. I was #TeamDecember but unfortunately lost the pregnancy at 12wks in June 2017.
It was an experience I wouldn’t wish for my enemy. But thank God for his infinite mercies for giving me another opportunity.
After then, I joined the peepers forum and kept praying that I’ll announce my BFP soon and by September, God did it again. I became #TeamJune 2018.
Throughout this journey I never experienced MS, no cravings, everything went normal. I can’t count the number of times I went to the hospital to check if I was still pregnant...lol.
By 6 wks I was placed on duphaston progesterone tablets due to my history and I stopped at 12 wks.
Countdown to EDD, no show, no signs, no nothing, after dotting my i’s and crossing my t’s o. But then God’s time is always the best. I became worried and started getting anxious.
Thanks to some mamas here who shared their experiences that there was nothing to worry about. I had an appointment with my dr for induction on Saturday as I was 41wks+.
On Saturday morning, I took my bag to the hospital and by past 9, the process started. A tablet was inserted into my VG for 1 hr to induce labour and then I was left alone.
I didn’t feel anything for hours. Then mild cramps started about 4 hrs later and I was checked to be 2cm dilated. After about 3 hrs, I was just 3cm gone. The VE was out of this world!!! Nurse said, “you never see anything”
After another 4 hrs, I was 6cm gone, and then the drama started. No progression, contractions were reducing so I was given pitosin drip. The pain was unexplainable!!! By this time, I was screaming the whole hospital down. Hubby, my mum and sister got their own share too as I shout at them anytime contraction hit me.
By past 12am, I was still on 8cm, I couldn’t cry...the pain was out of this world. I was just begging God to finish what he had started. By this time, they had broken my water.
By past 2am, I was fully dilated. Time to push, I couldn’t, baby was big. The nurse gave me a cut and I tried to push, nothing.
After 3 pushes, nothing! Ah! I was begging my hubby that we should do something else, I was tired. I was then given glucose injections. And then tried to push, nothing. After the 5th push, my princess came out tearing me in several places. She was cleaned and handed over to me and hubby.
Later the placenta was delivered. I was stitched and I’m still recovering from the pains. Labour took about 16hrs.
Thanks to God almighty for a safe delivery.
Thanks to this wonderful family for all the lessons.

And that’s how my June princess became a July princess.

My hospital said not till next week before they can do that for me if baby doesn't come out by then.... From all indications it looks like baby wants to port to July. I believe God is on the throne and at his appropriate time his will would be done. I am sure that I'm most definitely going to testify very very very soon. Thanks for checking up on us, God be with you and yours always.

They most likely won't want to induce u till ure almost 41 weeks..just hold on..Pele..we await your BA soon..big hugs*

Why don't u allow them do a membrane sweep for u. It actually helped me start having contraction, prior to that, I wasn't feeling anything despite my trekking, doing house chores, climbing staircase etc but in all, God is in control. Hand everything over, baby's coming in a grand style today. E hugs to u dear sis.

Pls help me pass a message on the platform. I need prayers o, ever since I gave birth from one sickness to another. Am so depressed right now, admitted in the hospital for thrombosed heamorrhoid and had to do a mini procedure in the theater to remove blood clots. Now the pain is something else. Also vomiting and stooling

Pls you all should pray for me, after ttc for 3 yes I must be alive to take care of my child o

BS Part 7(final episode).

They stitched me back and I was wheeled back to the labour room I saw all what they were doing after stitching ...they kept injecting different parts of my body with probably pain killers , injections, etc but I wasn't feeling anything due to the Anastasia. Surgery ended around 11pm and Anastasia started wearing off till about 3am I started feeling pain on the surgery site. My princess arrived on 13th June weighing 3.5kg. Surgery was done on wed 13th June and I was discharged on Friday 15th June. My hubby is the most supporting, loving and caring man on earth . I give God all the glory in all, I return all praise to him. I also want to appreciate all mamas on this thread I really learnt a lot. Also my team June mamas I appreciate you all. Thanks for the likes , mentions etc I really don't have the strength to start quoting every one now but I appreciate you all. I will be porting to the new born thread but will always peep here to say hi and also respond to quest ions i know answers to. By Gods grace, God will bless me again and I will be back again by year 2020

Below is a picture of my snow whitey princess whenever I look at her, I shed tears of joy and also forget all the pains I passed through. Indeed, motherhood is sweet...I also use her as a point of contact for all women all over the world believing God for the fruit of the womb. Cheers

BS Part 5

Hubby later came back feeling downcast I asked what the problem was he said the doctor gave him two options..
1. For me to be discharged and be back in a week in order for baby to be positioned well for 1 week but the disadvantage is that baby may already be in distress which could be fatal for both mother and child.

2. Caesarian Section.

Hubby said he has already signed for CS. I gave him a hand shake that he made the right decision the most important thing is mother and baby alive irrespective of the birth method I don't care.
I and hubby prayed together, I was wheeled to the theatre, shaved, urine catheter inserted. At that point, I started crying and a senior nurse put me to her shoulder pleading with me not to please cry. That I should be strong. She was begging me that my cry can lead to high BP which will be another serious case. The anaesthetics a woman came, injected my spine and covered my front with a green cloth...she started asking me how I'm feeling, I told her I was feeling some shock on my legs. I could no longer feel anything from my waist down..meanwhile I didn't even know when the doctors started cutting and tearing. The anastetics came to me and said oya madam pray for us as I was praying, I started dosing off she kept slapping me to please stay awake. I opened my eyes again and told her to please play me some music. She asked me what kind of music I said gospel. She started playing me gospel music and gisting with me at the same time. Hubby kept on encouraging me. By 7:45pm, my princess was brought out and I heard her crying out her lungs immediately I heard her cry, I asked is that my baby crying, they said yes. I started crying too... they said ahn ahn she is her daddy's carbon copy. The daddy said at least i stole the sex while he stole the look.

Please don't be.lol..it's temporal..as intense as mine was, didn't feel a thing 1 sec after the baby came out..the relief comes immediately...

Final BS..lol
So when the baby came out he didn't cry immediately, the midwife called Paediatrician to come and beat him to cry.. He did after 1min..I just dey bed dey look, I was too pale to have any feeling..the Paediatrician now started explaining some things like, my baby has to b placed on oxygen to clear his breathing organs that he cudav been distressed when he was coming out and that's y he didn't cry immediately..he took oxygen for 2days and his breathing normalized.. He was then tested for jaundice and it was positive..I was already loosing it..the treatment for that commenced after the oxygen was removed..it was so emotional seeing him under the light every day and night..I was always weeping..me that I havent recovered from the delivery shock.. Especially becos of his weight (4.2)..I had serious tears plus i was cut(ftm)..
After another 2 days, we ran a test and the jaundice had cleared..we were discharged on Sunday and naming was yesterday. Our names are Mofetoluwa Jason Obaloluwa.
To all my remaining teamies and expectant mothers.. I wish u a safe delivery..

BS part 2.
Immediately the Dr confirmed how far I've gone, she called on the midwife to take the delivery.. And the pushing started.. Hmmnn my sisters, I've never felt a pain so intense in this world...I was just screaming holy spirit..have mercy on me..pls save me..lol..the mid wife kept begging me to save my strength to push once the next contractions l hits..I was determined to seize the next opportunity despite the intense pain..immediately I felt the next one, I used all my strength to puuusssshhhh... The head came out.. It now remained the shoulder..the mid wife is an angel sent from heaven..she was so calm and professional.. When the next contraction came for me to push the shoulder out..I had already become tired..the other nurse assisting the midwife gave me a big blow on my right thigh and d strength came from nowhere.I pushed and the baby came our fully.. And d much awaited relief came..i was do exhausted.. I only couged and d placenta too came out..to be continued.

BS BS BS!!!
AT last..I just had to squeeze out this time to write my BS.
It started Monday evening..i went for ANC,.I was already 41 weeks..my gynae told me to come for inducement if labor doesn't come b4 then. So I went with my baby stuffs and was admitted to start inducement. The first stage was to pass cartethar, the Dr started by using speculum to open up the cervix, but i was so tense, so it wasn't successful. He later gave me a tablet under my tongue, he checked again after 6hrs..it was already 12am 12th June..no contractions yet. He checked to know my dilation..i was just 1finger tip..so he gave me another tablet..this time a higher dosage, i started feeling light cramps after 3hours..but it was bearable... After 6hours, I was checked again..still 1 finger tip..I became so frustrated.. I was given the 3rd dosage..this one scattered everything..the contractions started coming strong..the pain was out of this world..I stared seeing blood..and I told the Dr to check, she said I shud still hang on that I can't be more than 4cm..but the way I was feeling enh!..I placed a mantle on my belly and was shouting..the God of Bishop Oyedepo, have mercy on me..when the pain became unbearable.. I started having the urge to poo..i told the Dr and she said i shud meet her at the delivery room..immediately she checked she was shocked..i was already 9cm..BS to be continued.

I was there till with 3 other women and I was the only FTM. A new shift at 8am Saturday and a new nurse took over, Lo and behold she was the only one on duty or that reported for duty by this time the contractions were not giving me space at all and I will be crawling like a baby, bending down, doing all sorts just to ease the pain but for where, was really trying not to shout but once the pain comes, will call Jesus, infact called my God different type of names, the Blessed virgin was called all her titles and I recited all the psalms I know in my brain, before I knew it one of the women delivered and she was shouting, I really got scared. At a point with tears in my eyes and pitiful look I told the other preggy that wasn't feeling pain to help me call the nurse, with anger she shouted at the nurse that this lady have been having pains since she came and u are not listening to her at all, go and check her jor, I was told to climb the bed, the woman helped me and as soon as nurse checked me she shouted that baby is almost here, she quickly took me to the delivery room, shaved me, gave me injection, during these periods, I was seeing stars and said I wanted to poo, she said I should hold on, placed my legs properly, told me to hold my legs and push once the next contraction comes. At that moment a cleaner now came to ask madam which one is our dettol, I just shouted carry the whole bag dey go ur house. I pushed with my strength, nothing and nurse said dont stop, me said I was tired, she said u cant be tired now, ur baby head is here, do u want to press it, she said she's not beating me since cos I have been cooperating well, I just eye am badly, then at the next contraction I pushed like am having a strong poo, then she tore me and again, I now said u wan tear the whole toros very angrily. As I pushed again baby came out crying seriously, my belly pressed, placenta out, baby placed on my chest, I just smiled, was very weak and feeling sleepy, my eyes were shutting. Nurse shouted my name, hold ur baby and kept on talking to me, was responding and telling her I was weak. She stitched and cleaned me up and helped me back to the other room with baby beside me. I was overwhelmed just staring at my prince charming.

Thank u mamas for being there, learnt a lot here even when I was still peeping from TTC thread. I pray and use little Max as a point of contact to all TTC mums, that they would also experience this wonderful and enjoyable pain through Christ our Lord. Amen
