i am not having high BP, I am celebrating my FPL points, Na you dey complain like who dem no give soup money, come dey argue assist again

So, this is the first game you are seeing of Iwobi this season, you come dey complain like say the boy never kick better ball since season start. Kponkpi abeg
I wanted to correct the wrong information which credited Iwobi with the assist, the correction obviously wasn't meant for you since you have your mind made up even when you're not watching the match.

you should stop giving yourself headache over career that is not your own. Are you their family member ni?

Iwobi was brilliant against Chelsea, you did not remember to post. Na today you remember say Arsenal dey play match and Iwobi dey feature, na im you wan comot the boy blokos because e no dey give you samba ball. Upon all the haphazard playing, he sha got an assist, na that one concern me.

Stop crying more than the bereaved.
Neither are you a family member as well, so why all the high BP when Iwobi or Kelechi is mentioned?
Could it not have occurred to you that I may not have seen the Chelsea game?

Haha I don’t think you are watching the match. Didn’t u see him charging forward when the ball was crossed? It deflected off him slightly before falling to Montreal. Na only post u dey look.

Na ghost back track save Arsenal from a West Ham promising build up. Na ghost they put in several decent passes. Kwantinue.

As a forward player,
How many shots on goal did he have?
How many chances did he create?
Why was he subbed at half time if was offering so much on the wings?
You're making a case for an assist to be credited to him because he chased a ball down and probably got the faintest of touches to Monreal?
Let's be real mehn.

whoscored says he has an assist. Fantasy Premier League says he has an assist.

If he is on your FPL team, he has provided you at least 5 points now. Why will I delete the post? He has assist, that is the point. Whether na mistake or not, assist is assist.

Aubameyang has bee shiit 3 games in a row, but it is Iwobi you want to shiit on, it is you that should delete your post.

My post stands "He sha has assist"
What's my business with Aubamayeng? Did I tell you I'm from Gabon? Gabonese should complain about Aubamayeng not me. I have nothing to do with him.

Look, this cretinous defence of super eagles players using non Nigerians as a case in point to judge our players should be confined to the waste bin. It just doesn't make sense.

The suspected deflection was not when he was inside the post, if so it would have been his goal. It was the attempted lunge by him for the ball before it got the Montreal. Though I don't think it touched him at all, imo the keeper pushed the ball into Montreal.
If being present inside the 6yard box means getting an assist, then by all means he got an assist.

I don't understand. How could he have been part of the build up when he staggering to get back to his feet inside the net.
Please let's not miss lead people who are not watching. Iwobi had nothing to do with the goal.
He was in ghost mode in this game.

Iwobi was inside the post scampering to his feet. Even if he got a touch, Moreal's shot was already whistling inside the net.

It's not surprising to me that the almost hysterical calls for Sadiq Umar have become TOTALLY SILENT.

Dude has gone to Rangers and has been unable to show his outstanding physicality as some described him too be. He was being compared to Tega Abrahams and an option in comparison to Ighalo.

I long ago said he wasn't good enough for league 1 and I was lambasted.

At Rangers Oviemuno is the first choice midfielder and is making waves. I believe Umar may come good if given time but at the moment he has a lot to learn. Gérard described him as unfit.

Meanwhile there are no calls for Oviemuno but we are inviting a youth player to the SE.

After the Salisu scandal these type of selections open us up to claims of unwholesome practices.
Sadiq is a very awkward football player. I get quite gobsmacked when I see how highly rated he is here.
His people should better explore leagues in the gulf region where he will comfortably make decent money before sunset.
I will be more than happy to eat my words if it turned out I was wrong about him.

My analysis was to contradict the report showing that Nacho did a lot to help the team win wit his running. So answer if Nacho helped us win with his constant running.
Kelechi didn't have anything to do with that win as far as I'm concerned, the result won't have been different if you lead the line in that game.
Moses gave Nigeria the win with his forays down the left flank and exquisite finishing which Algeria had no answer to. In between the Moses goals was the fortuitous Mikel obi goal, which was as a result of the Algerians switching off totally.
Kelechi was a mere apparition in that game.

Forget long story. Watch the match or the clip and say Iheanacho’s running did not cause the Algerians problem. If you say that Nacho did not cause them problems, then it is clear you are not good at watching the impact of players during games. Because, it is clear as daylight.

Finito.
I'm in good company if that's the case. Complete sports and some keen football observers on the thread seems to support my "view".

The same top coach that was sacked almost a week later for that kind of nonsensical statement? grin that is something
I have constantly asked them to give a credible link where the Algerian coach said this. I mean the post match press conference because Own goal was the only website to credit him with the quote, the rest minor websites seem to copy and paste from own goal.
I say this because the owngoal peice looks reactionary and an attempt at damage limitation, after every other website, local and foreign gave kelechi 4-3/10 in that game, immediately after that, they quoted a journalist who told them in private Kelechi won that game for Nigeria, if you can't smell something fishy here, then you need to see your ENT doctor.
Have it at the back of your mind that kelechi is being represented by a top agency, they must have few journalists in their payroll.

Before you hang the manager, have it at the back of your mind he may not have said this. I'm at least 80% certain of this.

I honestly can't understand Odegbami at times.
In the past he has contested for NFF sec Gen, NFF chairman, recently threw his hat in the ring for FIFA presidency and now he's a governorship aspirant.
These are just the few I can recall.
Someone should advice him to aspire for one thing and stick to it. He could actually end up getting the seat instead of aspiring for any position up for grabs just like he's doing.
Doesn't show him in good light to be honest.

Never in the history of Nigerian football have we pulled in as much sponsorship. We went to a world cup with no bonus issues.

If not for this giwa issue, we would have done a lot more of the field.

Best NFF chairman in my lifetime.

The only thing Pinick brought to the table was resolving super eagles wages. We have always had sponsors whenever the we qualified for world cups. Most companies use ambush marketing to to attach themselves to the Super Eagles during major championships, the last one was no difference. I can list past NFF sponsors and affiliates during world cups.

Other national teams were totally neglected during Pinicks regime. We failed to qualify for U17 and U20 AYC and world cups under him. Our female team couldn't qualify for the Olympics under his stewardship.
The male U23s were stranded on their way to Brazil resulting in a Japanese guy paying from his pocket to rescue the team, need I say how shameful it is for a proud country like Nigeria to experience such international embarrassment.
At the main world cup proper, we equalled our worst world cup record playing some of the most boring football, it was so bad that a fan was caught on camera sleeping while we played Iceland.
Add to the fact that we couldn't qualify for the last Afcon and our FIFA ranking has been on a free fall.

Pinick haven't taken our football to the next level as far as I'm concerned and I'm ready to defend my points anywhere.

Cool this be another Rohr Effect?

The entire defence of the SE have moved to better clubs/leagues.
Ebuehi - Ado Den Haag to Benfica
Idowu - Amker Perm to Lokomotiv Moscow
Echiejile - Cercle Brugge to Monaco
Balogun - Mainz to Brighton
Ekong - Bursaspor to Udinese
Omeruo - Kasimpasa to Leganes
Aina - Hull to Torino
Awaziem - Porto or on his way back to Nantes for another loan.
We have never in the history of the SE have so many defenders playing at the top level like the current squad. Could Gernot Rohr have anything to do with it?

Special mention to Uduokhai of Wolfsburg and Akpoguma of Hoffeinhem who are still possibilities now that they have been totally over-looked by Germany.

Cc Dammy

I understand the excitement but please this is not the first time we've had defenders play in modest clubs such as those listed.

Onyekachi Apam - Nice
Joseph Enakhare-Bordeaux
Joseph Yobo-Everton
Taye Taiwo - Marseille
Chidi Ordiah-Cska Moscow
Ifeanyi Udenze/Isaac Okoronkwo- West brom

Just saw the FIFA rankings. Tunisia, Cameroon and DRC ranked ahead of us?? Smh, it seems that missing two AFCONs has really taken a toll on us. We have no choice but to qualify and go far in next year's AFCON.
Our ranking would have been better if the team to Russia made a strong impression, with or without Afcon.

It's a pity Moses will be throwing in the towel at this moment, especially when the failure in Russia was blamed on the teams lack of experience. People like Moses should be leading the young generation of attacking players.
Mane at the same age as Moses is leading Senegal from. What we are left with are largely untested, fledgling wing players without the fear factor which Moses brings to navigate through Afcon qualifiers and the main event next year in Morroco which promises to be bigger than any Afcon ever.

Best of luck to Moses and hopefully nobody begs him to return because that will be counter productive.

As they say. Soldier go, soldier come, barracks remain.

If Kanu is on that list, so should Vic Moses. We are talking about national team performances. What Major tourney did Kanu perform at for us minus Atlanta 96(which is an age grade competition)?
Unless you want to add their club performances, then fine.

Lol.. Kanu literally built his national team career on the Olympics achievement. He was largely passive from France 98-SA 2010. It's a shame a player as talented as Kanu couldn't buy a goal in any tournament for Nigeria after Atlanta 96.

I did not see that. Maybe if he studies Rwanda, he will know how backward we are as Nation.

The scary thing about Nigeria is that we don't look to be heading towards a brighter future beyond oil.
An uncle of mine who is a big player in the auto mobile industry was invited to last year's Frankfurt car show. From his observations, he said these big automobile companies have left petrol behind and moved towards green and electricity powered vehicles, with the latest specs of cars on display.
I don't know if the Nigerian government is even aware of what is going on. Because PMS and diesel could obsolete within the next 15yrs.
