From the midnight of December 31st 2008 i started getting text messages of new year wishes. The texts were so many and the contents totally different. Much as i was happy and excited getting those texts, i was also thinking about the lives of those that sent them. What i concluded is that they can all succeed if they will do the necessary things needed to actualise those wishes.



Welcome to 2009, i want to assure you that this year will be whatever you want it to be:your best year ever. A lot of people made new year resolutions this year but i can guarantee you that most of those resolutions were mere wishes. This is because there is neither will power nor burning desire to carry it out. Most people forget their new year resolutions at the end of January. But why i don't blame such people much is that they don't know much about goal-setting and visualization.



I have noticed a pattern of behaviour among many people each year. In January the air will be filled with a sweet aroma of people excitedly reeling out what they will do and what they will stop doing in the new year, their expectations for the year and what they will achieve. But by the tail end of the year between November and December, despondency will set in, everywhere i turn my nostrils will be assaulted by the stench of unfulfilled dreams, unmet goals and unsatisfied aspirations.



One of my mentors told me that for you to stop a pattern of occurrence from repeating in your life year after year, there are things you need to learn and there are things you need to unlearn.Which siply means that there are things you should start doing and there are things you should stop doing. Since all human achievement begins with a thought, i believe that your transformation should begin from the inside, that is why i came with the title of New Year Revolution to eliminate all those parasitic elements that works against your resolutions. Firstly, what is the state of your mental attitude? Is it positive or negative? At birth our mental attitude is neutral. What determines its state is the type of things it is fed with:the type of information you consume.



For instance, in the brain there is what is known as the Reticular Activating System (RAS) whose function is to regulate and process the thoughts coming into the brain. There are millions of thougths that are coming into the brain on daily basis, it is the RAS that controls and filters those that will go in. One intersting thing is that the RAS works with the state of mental attitude. It receives signal from the mental attitude. If your mental attitude is positive, the RAS will allow only thoughts that in conformity with positivity to go in and vice versa. That is why an optimist will see the contents of a bottle as half full but a pessimist will see it as half empty. An optimist will see an opportunity in obstacles but a pessimist will see only obstacles in opportunity.



resolve to turn around the state of your mental attitude, it is very vital because your attitude determines your altitude. Read self-improvement books, attend seminars, listen to tapes, if possible let a coach mentor you. The year is still fresh, all your dreams and heart desires for the year will be accomplished, but you must defeat your number one enemy. Want to know the person? take a look at the mirror.

Iam happy because of the attention that this post has generated and i know that those who have benefited much from it are not making noise by way of replying the post, they just digested the nugget it contained to improve their lives. That is why those who do well in school are not the noise makers.

For my fans and those who are willing to be teachable, i have a lesson for you. I actually decided to use this controversial title to test run a concept and it has worked perfectly for me following the noise and controversy that this thread has generated. The lesson is this: If you have an information product you want to launch into the market, say a book or ebook,manual, report, etc. Go for a controversial title instead of conventional title, it will create a viral sales boost for the product. Robert Kiyosaki did it with one of his monstrously successful book which he titled: If You Want To Be Rich And Happy Don't Go To School. it was the title that made the book a commercial success. Thank you.

l have been reading the replies generated by this post of mine and it has given me a lot of insight why so many people fail in life and why many will never make it. I merely used Goat to draw attention to the topic but many have decided to trivialise the whole thing. Quite interestingly, it is only the title and the first paragraph has anything to do with goat, the rest of the post is filled with nuggets and nudges that will propel one to the next level, which means that 90% of the post is all about succeeding. I have seen why many people struggle in all areas of life: They leave the substance and chase shadows.

You should not think like a goat here, you are advised to use the type of persistent found in goats not for you to become a goat.

I know that you will be filled with curiosity by merely looking at the topic i came up with. If you know goat very well you will realize that there is a particular thing it does most of the time. For instance, if you are in your compound peeling the back of cassava which the goat likes eating, if the goat comes there to eat it, no matter the number of times you try to drive it away, it will still come back. You can hurl all types of objects on the goat to make it run away, it will only run and come back. The only thing that will make the goat leave that place for you is if you remove the cassava you are peeling from its sight.

What a persistent stubbornness from the goat! And that is what i want you to think about. I have seen a lot of people whose major reason they are still located at the lowest rung of the ladder in life is because they lack persistence. And quite tragically most of them are not even aware that they are under the bondage of it. As a Human Development Practitioner, i take special interest in studying people and can easily tell where their problem is coming from. Lack of persistence ranks high in many of the cases i see.

To be a hero in life you have to be stubborn to obstacles. There are no accidental stars anywhere in the world. The English writer John Creasy's life is a study in persistence, as an aspiring young writer he suffered devastating rejections, he was rejected more than five hundred times but was able to publish more than six hundred books later. I believe strongly that no one will be significantly successful without passing the persistence test.
I can tell you without fear of contradiction that you have suffered many losses in life through one way or the other just because of your poor persistence level.

If God should come down today from heaven and collect all the money in the whole world, including properties and go back to heaven and tells everyone to start afresh, do you know that the successful ones will be successful again, while the poor ones will remain poor? The reason it will be like that is because the successful ones have mastered laid down principles which they follow to achieve an aim. God will not change the way you think. It's your duty to do that. Great and successful men do not get stuck to where they stumbled, they maintain their gaze on where they are going.

Whatever you are passing through today is not a news. Neither is it it peculiar to you. If you persist your problem will crumble. But if you run away, you will never grow and you will still encounter such a problem again, so how long will you continue to quit? What will make you great in life is the number of obstacles you defeated on your way to achieving your dream. That is why you need to cultivate the culture of persistence today because you will encounter many obstacles on the way but once you have the mindset of defeating obstacles you will be having fun as you go along. Then, People will be seeing obstacles in your dreams and ideas but you will be seeing stepping stones and disguised opportunities. Go! and defeat that obstacle.

Due to popular demand, iam doing a follow up to the first post i did with this title. I have been getting calls and texts reminding me that i promised to do a follow up. There are many profitable ideas but the problem for some people remains implementation. But it is good to let them out and challenge those who believe that their problem is lack of sustainable ideas.

So let's get down to business. Have you ever heard of what is known as Trend Tracking? It is popular in some countries but smart people here are turning overnight millionaires through the concept. It simply means tracking emerging trends and positioning your self as an expert. Most of us have heard about the internet and the amazing opportunities that abound. We have also heard of various means of making money on the internet. Do you know that Nigeria have internet marketing gurus already? These guys are all millionaires, i can tell you that most of them make more money now training others than they make on the internet proper. Did they graduate from any conventional Internet Marketing University? No. They saw the emerging trend and did all they can to position themselves as experts. Now that internet business awareness has exploded in Nigeria, they experts are having a field day churning out different packages for the army of willing leaners. What iam trying to bring to your notice is the need to position your self any time anything new is yet to explode so as to become an expert and a consultant. You will be an instant millionaire.

And if you ask me another trend that is about to explode in the country now, it is information products. This idea is turning people to overnight millionaires. In this information age, information products are a goldmine. Information products simply means identifying people with a need, package a solution in form of information and sell it to them. For example many people in Nigeria today want to study abroad but most of them don't even know how and where to start. Some are frustrated due to financial constraints. If you go to the internet now and use Google to serach for foreign universities where a Nigerian can study, you will see thousands of them. But for your information to sell faster, you can search for universities that offers scholarship to Nigerians. Once you are able to make an exhaustive search, you can package the information in a manual with a title like: 50 Foreign Universities Offering Scholarship To Nigerians. You now use cost-effective advertising and promotional means to pass the product across to those who need it and see the money roll in.

Another way is to produce information products to sell to maybe NGO's. Most of the NGO's in the country are cash-strapped and really need funding badly. If you go over to Google and other search means to locate donor agencies and organizations that gives grants to NGO's, your information product is ready. You can write a manual with your search results. You can title your manual: 10 Places An NGO Can Get Fund Outside The Country. Make sure that you have quality and authentic information in the manual.
These are just samples of what an information product is all about, discovering problems and packaging a solution, there are many areas you can target as well.
I discovered that information products are a goldmine if well packaged and presented. The good thing about it is that it requires little or no capital.
I discovered that people are yet to be aware of the money making potentials in packaging information products, including knowing how to combine products for higher pricing, offering back end product and building a list of buyers, that is why i just launched an Information Marketing Academy where i will show those who are lucky to be there all the secrets to earn money regularly through information products. Out of frustration he used the last 2,000 he had to buy two snails male and female and went into snail farming. Before you know it snails were every where in the compound and he began to receive orders. while his mates were still looking for a job he got an order to supply overseas and turned a millionaire.
Ideas are so many but few people are willing to take the plunge. Let me tell you, iam considering some options i will use to cash in on the current football craze in the country to make money. If you don't have any source of income or you lack money to start any business you can easily overcome this inadequacy. One of the ways to overcome lack of source of income is to embrace service. Offering your service for cash or trading your skill or talent for cash. But the problem is that a lot of people are so lazy while others are ashmed.
Before you can succeed in life, you have to banish shame and what people will say.
The point is that, the person you are looking forward to working in his company, do you know that he did many odd jobs to raise money to build the company?

We Are all interested in celebrating rich and successful men but we don't care to look into their history to see where they are coming from.
The fact is that once you banish shame and librate yourself from financial slavery, those you are ashamed of what they will say will forget about the odd job you did. IF YOU WANT TO REMAIN POOR AND UNKNOWN BE AN EMPLOYEE FOR LIFE.

Having started something you want to be doing or if u are doing something, quickly open an Investment Seed Account with any bank where you will be saving little amout of money on monthly basis no matter how small. This is the money you will use for investment. Once it gets to an appreciable level, withdraw it and invest. Successful people are aggressive investors. Nothing will ever make you to touch the money saved for investment.
Cut down on unnecessary expenses. There are money we spend that are unnecessary. I always tell people that it is not how much you are making that matters but how much you keep.

You will be surprised that someone that makes 10,000 per month will be rich faster than someone who makes 100,000 per month due to the difference in financial discipline. Many people cannot delay gratification, therefore all the money the make goes into satisfying their insatiable desires.
There are many ways you throw away money without knowing it. Some people eat excessively, it is not everything you eat that your body needs!
Many people are addicted to recharge cards, do you know that recharge cards has finished your money? if you calculate it in a month you will shout. Some never sent texts to minimize cost, they call all the time.
If you calculate the amout of money that passes through your hand in a month, you will see that you are rich. But, where is the money? unnecessary expenses eats 70% of it! And you don't even know.
