Business / Tapping Into Business Opportunities In Africa by goldlink(m): 1:43pm On Jun 27, 2021
The African continent provides a massive opportunity for insightful entrepreneurs. It has also produced notable business men and women who tapped into various business opportunities in the continent and made it big.
As a continent with so many countries that are still developing, opportunities abound in various sectors of the national economies. All an entrepreneur needs to do is to take a look at the African nations and discover the major need of that country, and then deploy imagination and creative thinking to create a product or service that will provide a solution.
Entrepreneurship is all about providing solutions. An entrepreneur that knows his onions can even go into a business field that seems to be saturated and use innovation and creativity to build a popular brand in a record time. Examples abound. Here are some of the areas an entrepreneur can tap into in Africa and build popular brands that will make so much profit:
Mobile Applications
As a continent with so many developing nations, most things in Africa are still done the analogue way. That means that most things are still done the hard way. There are so many societal problems that mobile apps can take care of.
There are so many bookings and services that do not require physical presence as still being practiced in many African nations that a common app can handle. What an entrepreneur needs to is just to study the things still done in a brick and mortar way in Africa which wastes so much time, causes people pain and difficulty, then design an app that solves the problem. You should know that as an entrepreneur you don’t need to be computer nerd or programming expert to launch such business. What you should do is to spot an opportunity, lay down the framework and get the people that will take care of the technical aspect.

Online Shopping And Retailing
There is still huge need for Africa’s equivalent of the retailing giant-Walmart. Africa’s retail industry is now a multi-billion dollar business opportunity. Retail is now gradually moving from its formal open market into a more organized form in a single shopping mall and online stores. There are success stories in the African E-commerce space but there is still gap for the big brand. An entrepreneur can still enter the retail market either online or offline and build a popular and attractive brand. The supremacy battle in the retail business in Africa is yet to be decided. A savvy entrepreneur can end the supremacy race once and for all. E-commerce in Africa is only in its very early stages; however, there are a lot of opportunities to seize. A good positioning and a well-rounded branding and customer service will help any well-funded startup in this segment to make fortunes.

Africans are now feeling more comfortable with buying their needed products and services online. So, online retail stores in Africa are now enjoying more patronage. And chances are you will make lots of profit by starting an online retail business. Even if you are on a low budget, you can start with just one product category and expand from there.

Power Generation
According to Africa Development Bank, about 630 million people in sub-Saharan Africa have no access to electricity. The continent’s consumption is 423 terawatt hours per annum, which is less than Brazil which consumes 426 terrawatt. This is quite amazing. 35% of electricity in Africa is generated by South Africa. Africa electric generation is less than Washington DC. This offers about $700 billion investment opportunity. Most African nations are experiencing abysmal level of epileptic power supply. This is an opportunity for independent private producers to step in and cover the shortfall.
There are so many countries in Africa suffering from erratic power supply. This is an opportunity for entrepreneurs to provide a solution and make money from it. So many companies have started tackling this problem by providing alternative means of generating power.

There are companies now providing solar panels, wind vane and other alternative sources of power for homes and industries so they can generate power when electricity fails and Africans have started buying into the idea.

In fact, power generation is highly untapped because the primary source of power in Africa is Hydro and it is still under-utilized while solar, wind, nuclear, etc are still untapped.

Business / 7 Demons You Must Defeat To Earn 7 Figures Income This Year by goldlink(m): 3:05pm On Jun 25, 2021
At the beginning of every year, it is common for people to make new year resolutions while some people do not. It is pertinent to always look back before looking forward because those who don't take stock always become a laughing stock.
I have come to discover that no matter how lofty and workable some new year resolutions are, most times they remain unfulfilled. Personally, I usually make my new year plans during December period and begin to attack them right from then.
For instance, this past Christmas, I embarked on a personal retreat which consisted of reading, thinking, planning and writing. One of my resolutions for the year is almost ninety percent accomplished as I write this piece.
If you want to get a different result from the ones you have been getting, you must do some things differently this year. Here are the the demons you must defeat to bolster your results:

PROCRASTINATION
This particular demon has been the harshest and unrelenting destiny destroyer. If you do not figure out how to checkmate procrastination, you may not experience new results. Procrastination encourages laxity and it is seductive in nature. It will keep on reminding you that tomorrow is another day. That you can do it tomorrow. The trick is that tomorrow never ends. It keeps coming.
This year, you must be proactive and action oriented. Don't defer that action. You must do it now. As from now on, Do It Now should be your personal mantra or anthem.
The next demon you must defeat is:
FEAR
This particular demon has shacked and heckled so many people into submission to a life of mediocrity and penury. A coward dies several times before death arrives. If you are too fearful you will never maximize opportunities that come your way on regular basis. This year, you must be bold and courageous. Courage is not the absence of danger but going ahead despite the odds.
This year, fear should fear you. Assess the inherent risks then move on with the temerity and audacity of a lion. A lion does not fret, cower or grovel before its prey, it attacks it with aggression. You must not allow fear to stop you from trying new things this year. Fear grows when action is not taken. Do the thing you fear and the death of fear is certain.

The next demon to defeat is:
HERD MENTALITY
This simply means trying to measure up to everyone's standard. You want to impress people unnecessarily. Personally, I am not in competition with anybody. I have my personal world view and perspective about life.
You shouldn't be anxious or hypertensive because you think others are doing better than you. The richest men in the world today were not the richest twenty years ago and may likely not be the richest twenty years from now.
Keep doing the right things with appropriate game plan. Everyone can not be at the same level at the same time.

The next demon is:
WRONG ASSOCIATION
A wise man once said that the two major things that will determine how far you will get in life are the type of friends you have and the type of books you read. For instance, if you always surround your self with drunkards and womanizers, you will soon become one.
We tend to appropriate the behaviours, mannerisms and lifestyle of those who are close to us. This year you must not be emotional or sentimental about those who should be close to you. You don't need to tell anyone to go but you must deploy wisdom in shifting the wheat from the chaff.
Surround yourself with those who are on a similar mission with you. A lion does not go to the war front with goats.

The next demon to defeat is:
POOR PLANNING
You want to start earning seven figure income henceforth? Have a plan. Success is never accidental. Anywhere you see a tower there must be a foundation. Planlessness is a recipe for failure.
Most people live their lives any how. Later they explain away their lack of results on the bad economy or their village people. Forgetting that Dangote operates in the same economy and also have village people.
This year, you must run your life on plans. What do you want to achieve? Where do you want to get to? Get pen and paper and work things out. Everything is created twice, first mentally then physically.
The next demon to defeat is:
I DONT HAVE MONEY
Probably the most dangerous demon. I have discovered that the quickest start up companies to cross the billionaire status are online tech companies. Do you know how some popular companies like google, Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube and others started?
The point is that majority of them were founded and started by young men that didn't have the cash but ideas. Some of them sold their personal belongings while others teamed up with a colleague to commence.
The moment you say you don't have money you have defeated yourself already. I read somewhere that the moment you say you don't have, you shut off your brain from looking for alternatives.
This year, deceive your brain by agreeing that you have and you will be presented with alternatives and options. You can commence a new project this year.

The last demon is:
RUNNING AWAY FROM YOUR SOURCE
Jesus said "I am the tree and you are the branches"
You know that without the tree the branch cannot do anything. God is your source. Without your source you cannot be resourceful. What kind of relationship do you have with your Maker?.
Part of your plan for this year should be to have a quality relationship with God. Build your faith and prayer life. You must understand that there is a divine being that can raise a nonentity to a known entity almost overnight.

One thing that disturbs me most of the time is the high number of graduates that are coming out of school every year. Where will all be employed? the banks and oil companies are filled up. I believe that this is the time for us to think about self employment and wealth creation.
