Fuji maestro King Wasiu Ayinde is currently in the United Arabs Emirate where he’s just signed investment documents in one of Dubai’s highrise buildings.

Though details of the purchase are yet to be disclosed, KWAM1 is said to have stormed Dubai in the company of Adenrele Arimoro, his investment adviser.

A young and vibrant politician, Affan Abuya, says his life is being threatened due to his strong support for his party APC. Affan Abuya allegedly played a major role in refusing a team of uniformed men from stealing a ballot box at a polling Unit in Gombe during the March 28 presidential election.

A team of armed Police allegedly broke into his father’s house last night at about 12:40am. Some of them landed into the house through the fence, some of them broke the gate before ransacking the entire house just to abduct Affan. He hid somewhere in the house and overheard one of them saying, “I would have use the gun boot or the jack Knife on him. So that, I can sniff out the life in him easily”.

According to him, the Police men are same police officers working under BabaYola in Gombe Division.

On this day, April 22, 2010, the unforgettable rapper, Dagrin died after he was involved in a ghastly motor accident.

The unfortunate incident which would later claim his life happened in the early hours of April 14, 2010 after his car collided with a stationary trailer (heavy duty vehicle) in front of Alakara Police Station, off Agege Motor Road, Mushin, Lagos.

He was initially admitted at Tai Solarin Hospital, Mushin before being transferred to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, (LUTH) Idi Araba, where doctors made serious efforts to save his life.

The late rapper was admitted at the Intensive Care Unit and operated upon, and later moved to the private wing of the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Here are 10 things no one will tell you about Dagrin:

1) The Rapper attended Meiran community primary school, Roseille Nursery and Primary School, Meiran Community high school and Egbado College.

2) Dagrin’s mother, Mrs. Olaonipekun, was the second of his father’s three wives.

3) He was 26 years old when he died in a car accident.

4) His father’s speech at the candle light ceremony was the rap he did to the song he was featured in by YQ, titled: ‘Efimile’….

5) His ill-fated car, Nissan Maxima was a 2008 model and carried the number plate, DAGRIN 03

6) His father’s nickname is Nelly. He has a music store located at Meiran bus stop, ‘House of Nelly sounds’ store where he used to stay before moving to Surulere.

7) The late rapper’s body was brought into the cemetery for burial in a black Ebony Escalade Cadillac ESV 2007 model.

His Twitter ID was @Dagrinfimile, Facebook was Dagrin fimilejo. He had 4,930 friends on Facebook.

9) The last time he logged on to twitter was on Thursday April 8, 2010.

10) He got the nickname Barack O’Grin from the remix song he did with General Pype titled ‘Champion’.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Monday, April 20, 2015 arraigned one Stephen Omaidu before Justice M. A Nasir of Federal Capital Territory High Court sitting in Jabi, Abuja on a two count charge bordering on theft to the tune of N68, 028, 000, 000.00 (sixty eight billion and twenty eight million naira).

Omaidu, in connivance with Alhaji K. B Kabiru, Godswill Oyegwa, Ben and Oliver (all at large) allegedly hacked into the server of a second-generation bank and transferred the sum of sixty eight billion, and twenty eight million naira into different accounts for personal gains.

The offence is punishable under section 287 of the Penal Code Act.

Following his “not guilty” plea, counsel to EFCC, S. A Ugwuebgulam asked the court to fix a date for trial to commence.

However, defence counsel, Gabriel O. Sanifu urged the court to admit the accused to bail pending trial saying, the offence is bail-able.

Ugwuebgulam objected to the application on the ground that the accused had failed to honour the administrative bail terms earlier granted him by the Commission and could do same if not remanded by the court.

Justice Nasir ordered the accused to be remanded in the custody of the EFCC and adjourned the case to April 28, 2015 for ruling on the bail application.

In the dawn of Xenophobic attacks on foreigners in South-Africa, some Nigerians have called for all South-African owned firms to leave Nigeria including MTN and DSTV.

MTN Nigeria has revealed that about 6,000 Nigerians will lose their jobs if MTN is made to leave Nigeria. Head of Communications MTN, Mr Wale Goodluck said this while reacting to calls by a protest group in Edo state yesterday that the telecommunications offices in Nigeria will be shut and their installations attacked if the xenophobic attacks in South Africa continues.

Mr Goodluck said there are only 12 expatriates working for the company in Nigeria compared to a workforce of 6,000 Nigerians.

“So if people go ahead with their threats to attack our facilities, what that means is that we may be forced to close down the business in Nigeria and about 6,000 Nigerians that make up 99% of our workforce will be unemployed.

Then, when you look at our support chain, we have about 500,000 Nigerians gainfully employed. So, boycotting our services simply means destroying so many other Nigerian businesses and making over 500,000 other Nigerians to lose their jobs. This business supports a lot of businesses across the length and breadth of Nigeria. Many of the businesses that are affiliated to South Africa are in the retail space, supporting the growth of Nigeria and employing so many Nigerians. We see no revenge of Xenophobia and we commend the role the Nigerian High Commissioner in South Africa has played; at least there has been no fatality on the part of any Nigerian,” he said.

A woman who can only be identified by her surname, Mahlalela, from Ebatsakatsini near Komatipoort in South Africa was caught red handed by a child in the wee hours of this morning, in the kitchen, defecating in a bucket inside the house of the Word of God Church Pastor, Pastor Nsingwane. The man of the house says the way the woman got into his house remains a mystery as the doors and windows in the house were all shut and locked.

As the world marks one year of the abduction of about 276 schoolgirls from Government Secondary School, Chibok, President-elect Muhammadu Buhari has assured parents of the girls that his government will rescue and bring back their children.

“I say to every parent, family member and friend of the children that my government will do everything in its power to bring them home,” Gen Buhari said in a statement from Daura, Katsina State.

“What I can pledge, with absolute certainty, is that, starting from the first day of my administration, Boko Haram will know the strength of our collective will and commitment to rid this nation of terror, and bring back peace and normalcy to all the affected areas,” he said.

The world woke up to the sordid report of the kidnap of the schoolgirls writing their final examinations in the night of April 14, after hours of operating unchallenged.

Buhari, however, said that the rescue mission was dependent on whether the girls were still alive.

He also promised that his government would counteract the ideology of the militants whose name translates to ‘western education is evil.’

“We will ensure our citizens in the affected areas have improved educational opportunities as a direct counterbalance to Boko Haram’s twisted ideology.

“In particular, we will educate ever more young girls, ensuring they are empowered as citizens of Nigeria,” the president-elect stated.

The former head of state added that the anniversary of the girls’ kidnap should remind Nigerians “that the attack on Chibok was an attack on the dreams and aspirations of our young people.

“We stand united in our pledge to resist terror in Nigeria – not just through military means but also through the power of opportunity and the hope of a better future for all.”

Part of Buhari’s statement read: “Today, we remember the kidnapping of 276 girls from a school in Chibok one year ago. This crime has rightly caused outrage both in Nigeria and across the world.

“Today is a time to reflect on the pain and suffering of the victims, their friends and families. Our thoughts and prayers, and that of the whole Nigerian nation, are with you today.

“I want to assure all of them, and particularly the parents, that when my new administration takes office at the end of May, we will do everything we can to defeat Boko Haram. We will act differently from the government we replace: we hear the anguish of our citizens and intend to respond accordingly.”

He, however, said he did not know whether the Chibok girls could still be rescued – as their whereabouts remain unknown, and that as much as he wished to, he could not promise that they could be found, but that his government would do everything possible to look for them and bring them home.

The ?Jama’atu Nasril Islam, JNI, on Sunday dismissed speculations that it received N12 billion from President Goodluck Jonathan to support his re-election.

The group, led by the Sultan of Sokoto, Saad Abubakar, challenged the author {Obinna Akukwe} to produce evidence.

The organisation also threatened legal action if the author of the rumour failed to substantiate, withdraw the information and apologise to JNI.
