The police campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) in its bid to deepen its campaign against cultism ,Substance/Drug Abuse,sexual and gender based violence,thuggery/violence and other vices amongst Nigerian Youths for a safe and secured society,has concluded modalities for a first ever POCACOV Anti Vices Football Match tagged "LETS KICK OUT CULTISM,SUBSTANCE/DRUG ABUSE,THUGGERY/VIOLENCE and Other Vices Amongst Nigerian Youths".The event which will observe all NCDC Proocols on COVID 19 is slated to take place on 11/9/2020 at Ngwo Park pitch.According to the National Coordinator Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices(POCACOV) CSP Ebere Amaraizu,the campaign activity is supported by pocacov Ambassadors of Nigerian Ex International Super Eagles player Michael Uchebo A.K.A USUMI and Former Rangers int fc,Enyimba Intl fc,Sunshine fc,and ex National team player John Nnam.The match is a platform to support the Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices by repositioning the mind of young ones through football and other Sporting activities,To encourage our youths to channel their strength and energy into useful venture that will give them better and enviable positions and strategic leadership directions as upcoming and future stars in the society,To galvanize stakeholders support and reawaken the moral values of our youths in sports industry.Amaraizu however added that the campaign will majorly focus on the use of substance/Drug in football and Sports and enumerated some of the implications as follows;Negative effect on temperament,Mental Imbalance,Physical instability,Blurred Vision,Poor Judgement amongst others.He solicited for the support of relevant stakeholders particularly the media to help the raise the awareness pointing out that POCACOV has provided that veritable platform for Stakeholders to join hands towards mitigating the cankerworm that is eating deeply in our society and our Sports industry.
