contact emirates or etihad or some hotels, they can get you a 2week visa. If you are coming to look for a job, pls apply for 1,2 or 3months visa. Go to dubai and look for the job. Or if you can get an employent visa, it is still ok, but be careful about the latest.

dubai is mostly dominated by single expats,and married couples that usually send their children home for education. With a salary of 3500, doubt the possibilty of your kid schooling in dubai along with other bills you have to pay. Even some people that earn more than 10k/month do send their kids to their home country. The high tuition is not only limited to dubai, but also applicable to other emirates. The government schools are strictly for locals, and a few arabs. This is as far as i know, i stand to be corrected sha.

Na SO BRO.... Sending kids back home for education is the best option... At least each of the parents earning 3k+aed will give the child good education back home

The agent also did for a friend that we served(nysc) together, nd he's currently undergoing training school, interview bla-bla.. Nd he made mention of one emirate card, that he jst obtained it nd will head for training school nxt week.

i met a nigerian who also drives taxi last time i was in dubai, he told me the salary is based on commission and around the price you mention or even more. question is can you drive for 12hrs everyday ? because they work monday to sunday

D info I gathered from him is that there is a basic salary of 1000aed+35% of wateva yu make monthly. The work is 12hrs shift nd no off.. The guy currently going thru d driving school told me the person he's stayin with picks the car 6am nd gives d next driver 6pm, after which he continues wt his own car till he feels its time to go sleep(no play for moscow).
Nd if the work no make sense, after 2yrs, I fit look for anoda job, at least my driving license will still be valid.

hello house, who knows anything about dubai transport authority- dubai taxi? my agent is currently processing that for me. he said the visa is 3yrs and the work is with dubai government directly

Thanks boss... I actually waited for som1 dat wen thru him to get there, he actually confirmed evrything d agent told him for me... I prefer d idea of DIY, bt yu all kno ds mum's stuff, she has seen som1 dat went thru him nd gav a positive feedback. She prefers to go via d agent. If I come alone, d pressure of taking any kind of job is on me, cuz if I come back not aving a job, yu sabi d rest. I wanna follow her choice nd we av a som1 there already to tell us how tinz are.... Me jst beliv dia are bad agents nd dsame time, dia are good ones.

Someone promising you employment visa is most likelylooking to scam you. Be wise and don't be fooled by these agents.

Actually d idea was from mum, I dnt like d agent stuff too.... This man did for my mum-friend's son, d guy is in UAE now for registration nd oda stuffs.. He has confirmed everytin d agent talked from here, nd d guy he's staying with in dubai is also a Nigerian doing d taxi already(he also went thru ds man). He told me he's passed dia interview, exam nd he's applied for emirate card, that once d card is out, he's nxt stage is driving school.

I was told taxi drivers work 12 hours shift e.g 4am - 4pm. I also heard somewhere they make 3000-4000 aed monthly. It's all heresay, can't confirm if all this is true. Maybe others here can help you better.

Don't limit yourself. Some sales jobs pay better. I believe there was a time du telecom mobile was offering 3000 aed as salary for their sales position. Maybe it's even more now or less .....with Dubai you never know.

Let me just add that you can't live a luxury life with that salary. Dubai in particular is an expensive city. Its going to be tough mate surviving. Is it worth leaving what you have now and coming over here

Here in naija, av seen people hoping it will be better for 4-5yrs, dey are still on peanuts salary, they are ageing, responsibilities are rolling in.... Am still young, jst wanna act fast. I pray God help us all. Even dat 1800aed, some msc holders cannot get dat salary here.

From my calculation, it pays off to be there... M a graduate that has been on 45k job over a year, I can only save 20k/month with so much work stress. Av also learned to live a low-key life. I can do well with a job of 90k ovadia which I can move onto somtin better later. M also open to business ideas which I can do from there... My coming back home will be to establish after some years if I don have the capital.

It's not easy like many other jobs. You'll be competing with other nationalities who might be considered before you. It's also about selling yourself well to the prospective employers.
