PoliticsRe: Sanwo-olu Inspects Fire Scene On Lagos Island, Orders GNI Building's Demolition by Good2go1: 8:26pm On Dec 25, 2025
Don't worry after the demolition i will buy the land and then it will not be available for sell again
FreeStuffsNG:
GNI is owned by Oodua Group .

Lagos State Government is part of Oodua Group of companies owned by all the 6 south west Yoruba states as part of legacies of the Sage, Pa Chief Obafemi Awolowo,GCON leadership.

It will be rebuilt into a greater edifice by the legacy owners. This is why we remind outsiders that Lagos can never be for sale. There are multiple great assets in Lagos prime locations and all over South West like that and are never for sale.

Even if it goes tribal what you should know is Igbo are everywhere with reasonable population
ken6488:
This is another argument but I will respond

Let assume those people you claim to be Igbo are Igbo

Edo State igbanke
Delta state (delta north)
Rivers (ikwere and ogoni they don’t want anything with you)

That’s all those are the people that are related to Igbo

Vote from south south and south west was not because Igbo it was pure love from other group

But I’m sorry now next election has gone tribal
BusinessDangote, Finally Explains Why His Cement Is Cheaper Outside Nigeria by Good2go1(op): 3:13am On Dec 22, 2025
Why Dangote Cement is cheaper outside Nigeria
Dangote has openly said that the price differential between his exporting cement and what Nigerians pay domestically is primarily caused by Nigeria's high tax and regulatory burden.

During a press conference with members of the press on Monday, exporting permits his company to avoid a variety of taxes that would dramatically increase production expenses at home.

“When you look at my invoice, the cement I export is cheaper than the one I’m selling domestically, because that’s how exports work… in export I’m saving a lot of money, I’m not paying 30% income tax, I’m not paying 2%, education, I’m not paying 1% health, I’m not paying 7.5% VAT, and I’m not paying 10% withholding tax.”

By eliminating these costs, the Nigerian billionaire noted that he would be able to price Nigerian cement competitively in global markets against producers from Turkey, Russia, and China.

In fact, Nigeria's fiscal framework makes it cheaper to sell locally produced items overseas than at home, reflecting deeper structural flaws in the economy.

“So when you reduce all these taxes, I can afford to go and compete with the international market, with the likes of Turkey, Russia, and China,” he stated.

The implication is clear: Nigerian consumers bear the cost of high taxes, various levies, and regulatory inefficiency. While local production is sometimes marketed as a remedy to high pricing, Dangote's experience demonstrates how policy decisions can undercut that goal.

So can you all now bend your knees and apologize to God for being partners in the destruction of our land?

When will we learn?

Before Independence the western Region was far more productive because of effecient management of resources.

They had smaller resources comparing to the North and Eastern Regions.

Then the cocoa and all the exports of the Western Region slaked in the world market.

The Eastern Region picked up from 1960 to 1965.

Then just like we were under a spell of the spirit of error. On our own we blew everything up using a coup and a war.

Then we began to build a fresh. Only for Kanu to emerge again and with you people's support he's blown the South Eastern economy again.

How can we claim to be entrepreneurs and business people but our region keeps lagging behind?

It doesn't make sense.

It only means that our abilities are working outside of the East now and not in the East.

Aba, Onisha and Nnewi alone are enough to make the South East third most productive zone after South South and South West.

But the fo+olishness of the Almajiri in good clothes is the weak-link empowering rascals who come to destroy our economy.

Even North East , North Central and North west with all the challenges they're having with terrorism still beat us?

That's a shame.

We must have a re-think.

These are the people who have been insulting & mocking Tinubu right from the beginning, and these shameless hypocrites are always quick to point Tinubu in their warped & so-called “right direction” which is nothing more than a ploy to mock their perceived Adversaries like Reno.

What is your business with whom Tinubu chooses to appoint in any capacity? Have you all not been calling this same Tinubu a drug baron and mandate robber?

One thing is certain. 2027 is just around the corner. Tinubu will be re-elected for his second term in office or Nigeria will go the way of Sudan and Ethiopia.

You guys should stop changing narratives to serve your interest.

If Commissioner wasn't opposing it, what's the point of his argument then?

He would have kept calm and allow them to move it instead of elling them to tell Tinubu the truth picture so that Tinubu will tell them not to move out of Lagos.
aswani:
Thank you for clearly explaining my thoughts on the BS headline which was done solely to feed into Obidients paranoia.

At no point did the commissioner oppose the move. Even if they were going to redirect operations to Ogun or Ondo State, he would have said the same and would have been correct.
PoliticsRe: Lagos Opposes NPA’s Move To Decongest Ports By Redirecting Operations To Warri by Good2go1(op): 9:08pm On Nov 18, 2025
Why would a state that complains about people—particularly Igbo—trooping into Lagos oppose a plan to shift port operations away from Lagos, knowing that such a move could reduce the Igbo population in the state, since Igbo are the highest users of the ports?
PoliticsLagos Opposes NPA’s Move To Decongest Ports By Redirecting Operations To Warri by Good2go1(op): 9:01pm On Nov 18, 2025
The Lagos State Government has criticised the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, over its decision to shift operational emphasis from Lagos ports to the Warri Port Complex, a move the authority says is designed to ease congestion at Apapa and Tin Can Island ports.

Recent operational data released by the NPA indicates improved efficiency and cargo throughput at the rejuvenated Warri and Koko ports, signalling early gains from the strategic shift.

However, the Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Transportation and Logistics, Adekoya Hassan, maintained that Lagos ports are not the root of the problem.

Instead, he blamed long-standing policy shortcomings within the NPA for the gridlock that has plagued the Apapa corridor for years.

In an interview with Vanguard, Hassan said: “The NPA’s decision to divert attention from Lagos Ports to Warri due to congestion highlights the urgent need for a comprehensive overhaul of its policies. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has remained committed to resolving the traffic situation, but entrenched institutional practices within the NPA continue to undermine progress.”

He identified multiple bottlenecks, including excessive toll points, a malfunctioning e-call-up system, favouritism and racketeering, abuse of authority by senior officials, and misleading narratives pushed through truck unions, as key contributors to the persistent logjam.

Hassan noted that if the NPA reviewed and modernised its operational framework in line with current economic realities, congestion at Apapa would reduce significantly, making the shift to Warri unnecessary and, in his words, “an unpopular choice.”

He emphasised the need to present the accurate picture to President Bola Tinubu, insisting that the NPA’s internal practices remain a major driver of the congestion crisis

ShenTeh:
Despite being no fan of Tinubu, I am really happy that he is beating them at the game their late demigod Buhari started.

Let them go and hug transformer. People with born-to-rule-without-responsibility mentality.

If it gives anybody comfort though, just know that these approvals are on paper only and the funds would be largely shared amongst our overfed oligarchs. For perspective, does anyone know how many billions of US dollars that have been sunk into the Lagos Ibadan expressway alone, a largely 2 lane highway of less than 100miles that we have not been able to complete in about 20 years?

But not to pay mind to the northern tear-bearers who are always wanting more money, more power, more more more. Imagine if the names of the alleged coup plotters were Southerners, not to mention them being South-Easterners, the whole north would have been on fire 🔥🔥 by now.

And yet, despite the heavy government spending in the north over the centuries by successive administrations, there is no commensurate evidence in the quality of life of our northern brothers.

Open sepulchers all of them.
