If you’re often in a bad mood - or in denial about mental health - it can be hard to tell the difference. Most everyone goes through bad moods. But when the blues don’t go away, you might wonder if, in fact, you are truly depressed. Because depression has clearly defined symptoms, however, there’s a way to figure out whether you need to seek treatment.


Depression is diagnosed when a person experiences five or more specific symptoms for more than two weeks, according to the American Psychiatric Association. Those symptoms include feelings of sadness and loss of pleasure in activities you once enjoyed, changes in appetite that cause weight loss or gain, sleeping too little or too much, feeling tired all the time, having difficulty concentrating and making decisions, and feeling angry and irritable. People with depression might also have feelings of worthlessness or guilt, unexplained physical pain like headaches or backaches, and frequent thoughts of death or suicide.

About 80 million microbes, apparently. Gross but true; that’s how many bacteria get transferred during the typical lip lock, according to a new study. Researchers were curious about why humans are the only animal species that have full-tongue mouth-to-mouth contact. One theory says that exchanging saliva helps couples determine compatibility, while another holds that sharing bacteria can boost the immune system.

Since no previous study looked into how kissing changes mouth microbes, the study authors decided to take the lead. They monitored the kissing behavior of 21 couples, finding that one 10-second French kiss transferred 80 million germs from one partner to the other. They also discovered that the more often partners reached first base, the more likely they were to have a similar microbial profile colonizing their tongues. (So apparently, you and your guy do become more alike the longer you stay together!)

1.Volunteer.

Try to be industry and job specific if possible so that the time you spend giving it away has the potential to introduce you to people who may hear of opportunities. And if you take on a leadership role, like chairing a committee, it will offer visibility. If it is not industry specific, it still gets you out, gives a feeling of short term accomplishment, and may introduce you to other volunteers who have access to information.

2.Get help.

Occasionally when we feel stuck it is helpful to get an outside, objective perspective. Identify a group of people who are unemployed and form a job search support group. Sometimes power, insight, and motivation are achieved through a collective effort. If you can afford it, invest in a session with a career coach who comes highly recommended. These steps will give you help and advice you need plus accountability. Most important, there is a human connection with other people in a similar situation -- or someone who knows just how to sympathize.

3.Establish your credibility as a long-term job-seeker.

When it comes to establishing your credibility, you will need to distinguish yourself from other candidates. That happens in your resume and in how you explain your time out. Of course, the story you tell people must be truthful but it also needs to position you in the very best possible light. So if you took two years off by choice or you have been unemployed for that length of time, how did you spend it? Can you show that the time out was used productively and makes you an even better candidate? Employers like candidates with skills and experience that are current. What can you do to convince them that you have been engaged and remain valuable? That could include getting a relevant certification, assuming a leadership role in a professional association, or building and maintaining a dynamic network of contacts. Perhaps you traveled around the world, learned a foreign language, or ran a marathon. All are accomplishments, too.

4. Have a plan.

For everyone in job search -- both those who have lost jobs and others who may have voluntarily taken a time-out -- the key to success is having a game plan. That is the strategy you use to put yourself out there. It includes everything from your resume, cover letters, follow-up correspondence, interview questions and practice, and research on the market and companies. It must all be seamless and support your target, with no exceptions.

5.Be focused on your goal.

Get clear on your target and communicate it with precision and passion; the kind of job you want, where it is located, and the ideal qualifications for candidates. In this current market it is not a bad idea to have a couple of targets. Having only one exposes you to the risk of pursuing a direction that won't produce a job. Having too many targets makes the process confusing, sloppy, and inefficient.

A hotel restaurant in Anambra, Nigeria has been shuttered by authorities for serving human flesh. suspicious residents told police of rumors that the restaurant was cooking human meat for customers. Police then raided the restaurant, where they discovered fresh human heads that were still bleeding. The blood was in the process of being drained into a plastic bag.

You may have heard this mantra before, but it bears repeating: A full night's sleep will help make your skin look better. To which Gerstner adds, "And you should experience fewer dark circles." We say try a little target practice to help trouble spots look better even faster. And if you tackle these skin zones while you're asleep, you allow for the product to really seep in. Our favorite area to hit: the eyes. Look for an eye treatment that targets wrinkles and reduces bags (two of the biggest eye-aging culprits).

Switzerland will return to Nigeria some $380m (£260m) allegedly looted by ex-military ruler Sani Abacha, an official has said.

The transfer, to be conducted under the supervision of the World Bank, will end a 16-year case against the Abacha family.

Switzerland has already returned $700m, following appeals from Nigeria.

Abacha ruled the oil-rich West African state with an iron-fist from 1993 until his death in 1998.

Soon thereafter, Nigeria's new rulers asked Switzerland to help it recover $2.2bn that he had reportedly stashed in European bank accounts.

The $380m was seized in 2006 in Luxembourg, following a request from Swiss authorities, the Geneva prosecutor's office said in a statement.

As at 2011,news had it that about 80% of first class &2:1 holders that sat for the aptitude test for NNPC failed.

These are one of the bottle neck we have in Nigeria labor market,when emphases is been laid on the class of degree.
take a look at third class holder in their in their job when employed, they perform better,
Also look at notable persons who have achieved in their career some are third class holders.
