joselekas: I did for my OINP (Ontario PNP) application and it came out positive. I am also using it for my electronic Application for Permanent Residence. I will be submitting my ITA application next week.
Many people have used it and they got their PR. So, not cause for alarm On what NOC did you get your nomination ? |

Kampack: Hi All,
I've just received an email saying I've been selected for a WES badge. Whereas, my WES is still undergoing evaluation. What does this mean please. Does it confer any advantage in this mission? I got this also but if you check well you will see a place to download a PDF and this shows your evaluation is finished |

falofarms: Posts and comments on this thread have been very helpful in no small measure. I thank everyone for your contributions. Pls, I wanted to apply for Canada express entry, so in a bid to do that, I got my credentials evaluated by WES and I've written and scored 6.5 in IELTS. In addition to that, I'm a masters degree holder in theatre arts and a practising poultry farmer. After all I did, I discovered my CRS was merely 380points. So, I felt discouraged that I couldn't get the required score to actualize the EE dream. Pls, is there anything I can do to boost my score and be eligible for any of the Canada immigration scheme? I Think your IELTS can improve your score alot |

joselekas: You don't apply for Ontario PNP. You're selected from the express entry pool based on your CRS and NOC.
The CRS rage is usually maximum 1 or 2 points off the most recent FSW cut-off and 10 points minimum below it. For example, if the last FSW draw is 468 then their range may likely be 458-467. Those within that range are selected.
They target some selected NOCs. Not all NOC are priorities to them.
https://www.ontario.ca/page/ontario-immigrant-nominee-program-oinp https://www.ontario.ca/page/ontarios-express-entry-human-capital-priorities-stream
Read the links up. That's all you need to understand it. Thanks for this information but do they document the NOC that are priority to them because i didn't see NOC 2174 on the Ontario PNP list ? because this is very similar to my NOC 2173 |

ednut1: this does not apply to everyone. IT guys get jobs easily more than anyone. A lot of people that got jobs in canada used their Nigerian experience. A friend who is also a nairalander got a job before completing 14 days isolation. Only issue is you may have to apply for hundreds of jobs before hitting the jackpot Yah thanks for this... |

Ruben225571: Copy from Rhodaogunpeju
In Canada, most times your experience is disregarded, so people go back to school, do certifications or anything to make your credentials equivalent to Canada’s. So we knew this and gave ourselves one year to work on that while we take up minimum wage jobs. We landed in October, my husband got a job at a warehouse In November, I’m lazy and didn’t have strength for all those tasking jobs of standing especially for cashiers in Walmart and malls, so I was searching for customer service job, and luckily I got a clerk job. My husband made 2,500 while I made 2,200. Together we brought in $4,700 monthly.
By the way, a lot of people live comfortably on minimum wage jobs and never transitioned to professional jobs. hello thanks for this post it was really helpful especially with the case of job which caught my attention. Do you know if IT related jobs needs canada certification also my case is abit complicated i work in IT field for more than 4 years in Germany but due to the racial profiling I want to move my family over to canada as i have two kids also. Do you know what i need to do i dont care taking up all the minimum wage job I have done it before getting into IT and i know how it can be but I dont care it that is what i need to keep my family. Pls kindly reply me if you have any idea about this certification and again I didn't study computer science also I am more of a self taught developer |

Madcow: We oftentimes have amnesia as it relates to Gods faithfulness and how he has helped even with things that seem so little and insignificant. I write this to hopefully encourage whoever reads to firstly trust God that although you may not be where exactly you want to be, trust God and he would comfort you and help you. Nice testimony May the Lord guide you towards the right path.. Travelling to another country can be frustrating especially when it comes Job search I pray it will come easy for every one |

Vester48: Be careful how you use the bolded word. Canada can be very funny/specific when talking about marital status. For one, once you step out of "single status" you can never return to it officially, at least according to CRA. Yah I know not only about Canada but western world Generally alot of people live together as common law partner and not married. it has it own requirement in different country but yes easy to prove if you stay in a document sensitive country... |

Also, the don’t have msc but the guy has bsc and pgd while she has B.ed
Using the CRS calculator, their score is at 533 533 looks intimidating but if you are not married at the point you are filling the form why not put common law partner ? its almost same thing and you can edit it afterwards |

ThatCEO: I believe FSW will fully resume by March.
If they have 2 more CEC, ITA will drop to between 410 to 420.
People who have this kind of CSR score are those that graduated with one or 2 year diploma in Canada (not even Bsc); who have zero years work experience; and who are at 33 to 35 years.
My strong prediction is IRCC's hand will be forced to take much higher quality candidate (Msc + 3 years experience + below 31 yrs age) via FSW.
This CEC can't last. I am sure it's giving them some headache already as they need to process like 400k candidates this year. Should they take in "low ball" candidates via CEC or should they open up FSW since unlike last year, the entire world is not on lockdown n lots of Visa offices can still process PR.
Year 2020 lockdown already exhausted their pool of quality CEC candidates.
Attached picture is where ITA would drop if they continue with 2, max of 3 CEC draws. Nice predictions but remember it's about what they have in the pool, people are doing anything to increase the CRS score like some African countries that are bilingual will have alot of Edge with the french stuff. Covid will even draw more peoples attention to the express entry than before .. But generally thanks for the prediction |

Goodskills: February 21, 2021 Results: Rounds of invitations Provincial Nominee Program
Number of invitations issued: 654Footnote*

Date and time of round: February 10, 2021 at 14:31:18 UTC
CRS score of lowest-ranked candidate invited: 720

If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles. Looks like the CRS is going down hopefully it will go down as-well for people without PNP |

sauuron: Most likely COVID. Last year, there were no general draws for about 3 months and after that there were general draws only once a month for awhile. In that time, the CRS scores skyrocketed. That's why I'd advice anyone to better their scores because the next general draw is most definitely going to be above 470.... except you've got age and patience on your side. As for manitoba, I dont know anything about it. Rumor has it that people abused the relative thing sha. Absolutely Right but the good new is that Canada is getting fewer new cases of Covid19 so the scores should come pretty soon. scared for someone like me (Still in WES and IETLS and baba is getting old ) but the sad news is the Covid variant cases is increasing also. |

OlakunmiSMELTD: To be quite honest with you, currently IT guys rule the world from now till 2090. Innovation, transformation using artificial intelligence would just be moving like a speed of light and only IT people can move with it which means the unskilled job would reduce which would create much unemployment while sophisticated job will be few because artificial intelligence machine can work around the clock and do more hectic job than humans with maximum and accurate output. You would be surprised in future when people wi be going to football field to watch robot playing football live just as Playstation.
Plane fly by robot Car driving itself Robot lecture different classes for 24hours perfectly and accurately.
Make I hear say my kid won do one yeye management course, na you go sponsor yourself be that So true but remember that skill is not for every one . Some people are actually lucky they study non tech related courses in the university. I know someone in Germany that studied Agric in Nigeria did self learning on Java and worked for few years in Nigeria applied for Jobs in Germany Via blue card Visa. My people that guy is a team tech lead and cashing out Big . So for the people that can please reconsider it again abroad is only sweet when you have Good paying Jobs |

Lawyers aren’t as lucky as health workers until they fully qualify to practice in the country and then again as lawyers we now have to start building portfolios again to gain clients in another man’s land thereby making us begin from the scratch. Compared with nurses , the I.T guys etc To be frank I think I.T guys are very Lucky everywhere some people are as lucky as doing some self taught learning or went to few months bootcamps and where able to get cool paying jobs outside the country. but no be everyone fit do IT na |

Hello everyone, Sorry i might be going out of the general context here but i was thinking if anyone has some information of selling skills/ certification that can be done before moving to Canada which i know tech skills are selling really hot . but certifications or training like AWS , GCP or other cloud computing are different within regions/ countries any one have some information on this. and again for people that are abit free in Nigeria now investment in bootcamps before moving to Canada might not be a bad idea because bootcamps in Canada are very expensive from my research as high as 15,000cad. BTW not only tech Sha because Tech is not for everyone. But there are some easy to enter tech skills what do you think sorry its my first time of posting and I am coming with this long annoying write up |

I work as a web development tester but not a web developer but I have the skills to develop a website (HTML; CSS; Javascript) but have a management background ( BSc economies and MSC innovations) . is it ok for me to pick that as my NOC if I can get my employer to include it in my work description as it was started in my offer letter that I work in the web development department. Thanks am open to your comments.. |
