Here is a serious thread where Obi should either defend himself or use style to withdraw case at court. If he thinks Deji doesnt have evidence, but later have. It might be disgraceful. Somebody or group of people maybe using Deji at background to expose Obi (Don't take my word for it, just an assumption), and if obi mistakenly falls for it; it may impact his reputation and affect his political journey. However, if obi is so bold and knows he has no skeleton in his cupboard, he should go ahead to teach Deji lesson. I don't support tarnishing somebody image just because of pride or arrogance that you can't say simple apology for being wrong

Oyo Ile which was an empire for just 2 centuries was sacked by Fulani Mohammedans after they took Ilorin.

A lot of oyo people fled and lots became refugees. E.g the Modakekes.

Later, the ooni's very long white limo and convoy came and everywhere was agog. Other kings stood up, except alaafin. Ooni didn't bother greeting him as he went straight to his seat and the party began in earnest.

During oba ladigbolu and oba adesoji aderemi's days, it was same issue. Both lobbied for top positions during the colonial days but oba aderemi got the topmost one. So, they can still sit together while the power tussle exists they're 2 different things.
