MILLERMannn: This is going to almost one week now that citizens and residents of Best way, Iwo road can no longer live in peace owing to groups of some thugs fighting each other. These thugs are daily seen with guns, cutlasses and charms. I am using this medium to call on the inspector general of police to seriously look into the matter by directing the commissioner of police of the state to quickly do something before the crisis escalate. It is a canker worm that is putting the residents in fear. I will be happy if this quickly get to the right channel and is worked upon. So the IG of police is on Nairaland. |

idahme: Did u also compare their resources? U see how intelligent you are ? You are smart by half
You should have compared their budget for the fiscal year to understand thee main differences. proeast: Empty headed villages are always using landmass to make comparisons. If only this boy is educated, he will know that empty landmass doesn’t mean anything, it is the development that matters.
Northern Nigeria with large landmass doesn’t make noise, but these local chest beaters always look for anything, no matter how stupid it is, to make foolish boast with. Niger state alone is same size with the entire South west put together, yet you don’t see northerners using it to brag foolishly.
Poor education has really ruined you guys. Sharap. He is right. 𝐃𝐈𝐃 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖 that South-East Region of five States is almost the same size of Oyo State (one state out of the six South-West States)? Yet, South-East Region (equivalent to Oyo State) is governed by: i. 5 Governors ii. 15 Senators iii. 43 House of Representatives Members iv. 95 Local Government Chairmen v. 129 State House of Assembly Members While Oyo State is governed by: i. 1 Governor iI. 3 Senators iii. 14 House of Representatives Members iv. 33 Local Government Chairmen v. 33 State House of Assembly Members South East Total Landmass = 28,983Km² Oyo State Landmass = 28,454Km² Why is SE, a glorified single State with 5 Governors and 95 LGA Chairmen not better developed than Oyo State with just one Governor and 33 LGA Chairmen? Why has South East that collect allocations in five different places under five Governors and 95 Council Chairmen not been able to turn the region into Dubai? Are the five heads of SE better than one head of Oyo State? SoNature: Nigerians must understand that their social media posts come with responsibility. You cannot go on social media saying that a product can kill people and refuse to take down your post after several appeals to do that. Comments have consequences; the lady was busy catching cruise. If you cannot create a job in a country where government doesn't support businesses, don't use your stupidity to destroy existing ones. I hope she and people like her learn their lessons. Exactly. The country is hard enough for manufacturers. The last thing they want is someone to even make it harder for them. |

Or consumer protection agency, she come dey spoil person market. Nafdac actually verified and said there was nothing wrong with the product. Villagesquare: There are Channels of Complaints, She should have reported the company to Nafdac and Consumer protection commission to carry out their work and ascertain her allegation. On the other hand Erisco should know that a product is subject to bad or good review. She gave a fake review which is different from good or bad reviews. Even Amazon and many other businesses warn customers against giving fake reviews as there could be legal consequences. People have gone to jail in Italy, UK and many places for false/fake reviews. I feel at this point, the girl's family better go the Nigerian way to beg the company to drop it's law suit.

Don't go looking for trouble. The man has said he would rather die than not get justice.
I read her Facebook post where she was daring the company to go to court. Out of ignorance, she felt it was easy to take on a corporate organization anywhere in the world.
I think she has learnt her lessons. Erisco should withdraw the lawsuit. |

Politics › Abia Workers Reject Online Verification by Goodvibes007(op): 5:19pm On May 28, 2024 |
The organised labour in Abia State says the online uploading of workers’ documents as directed by the Head of Service through is retrogressive and slavery of workers in the state.
The organised labour includes the Nigeria Labour Congress, Abia State Council of Trade Union Congress, and the Joint Negotiating Council.
In a statement issued on Monday and jointly signed by Abia NLC Chairman, Okoro Ogbonnaya, TUC Chairman, Enogwe Ihechi, and JNC Chairman, Comrade Madubuko, said the online uploading of documents would open the workers to hackers.
According to the unions, the latest directive on uploading of documents portends danger to the security of the workers. The unions also directed workers not to participate in the exercise.
The statement read, “The state government has refused to engage the organised labour on the consequences of the unfortunate hike in the price of petrol which has unleashed massive suffering on the Abia workers. There is a renewed onslaught of executive rascality by government appointees on Abia workers and the state government has flagrantly refused to engage the organised labour to look into the grey areas of the online uploading of documents.
“The online uploading of documents and its undisclosed hidden packages would make Abia workers easy target to hackers. The online uploading of documents and its consequences is akin to labour enslavement. The exercise is covered with a lot of secrecy which has made it difficult for the government to discuss it with the organised labour.
“The numerous changes being introduced in civil service without recourse to the Civil Service Rules. Verification exercises in the state have become too many while the welfare packages of the workers are neglected and hat previous verification exercises left most Abia workers with the heavy burden of unpaid salaries of seven months, eight months, nine months, etc.”
Based on the the observation, the state organised labour therefore resolved that their earlier position on the issue remains sacrosanct.
It added, “That on our own as leaders of the workers, we would not fold our hands and watch Abia workers being taken into labour slavery, that it still views the exercise as retrogressive to the earlier vision of the governor to fish out ghost workers from the system, that another online uploading of documents is another financial burden to the workers; faced with various financial challenges without review of their take-home packages.
“That their earlier position, that government should as a matter of urgency put the exercise on hold till grey areas around the exercise are tidied up subsists to avoid an industrial crisis in the state.”
It added, “No Abia worker in the MDAs and seventeen (17) Local Government Areas should Present his or her self for any form of on-line uploading of documents as those who did discovered there are other hidden packages which the organizers refused to disclose before the exercise.” https://punchng.com/abia-workers-reject-online-verification/?amp
