When his doctor told him that his sperm count was too low to get his wife or anyone pregnant; his only condition to the doctor was not to tell his wife. He already knew before the test result came out.

The problem at that point was how to get his wife pregnant without exposing him. Someone had to tell his wife to cheat without letting him know.

We have some of the most beautiful universities campuses in Nigeria; compared to Harvard with crumbling structures and rooms that have to be renovated often to keep them in shape. Nigerian universities are more modern compared to Harvard or others.

Our only problem is maintenance. A disease well spread all over the country. Take Lagos for example, workers clean the streets all night. By the afternoon, it is back to dirt!

Religious practices also offer a sense of purpose to life and offer solace during hard times. Even when there is help out there unknown to you, it is still a personal battle until we find a solution. We call on our saviors, god of Amadia, Sango or Magazawa. But where do our Pastors and Imams go for treatment overseas when we need them at home?

Experienced parents naturally pull and prevent their loved ones from danger. Humans have the same instinct animals have when they pull and protect their curbs from danger. When children and wives get raped in front of their fathers and husbands, you wonder what type of warped mentality derive pleasure from such aberrations. If you are not helpless and as strong as thunder; it takes seconds to strike abusers dead.

Just as we complain that there are too many problems, some of them we bring upon ourselves. Relatives as close as adult children, brothers and sisters set up their parents for extortions. One claimed his father was too stingy. Another got himself kidnapped to share money with strangers. If anything goes wrong or the victim is not as rich as expected, desperadoes are unpredictable and can take a life without remorse.

A son was arrested by police while driving Black in America, with his parents. Any reasonable son would have known that many times Police see a Black driving an expensive car in America, they are always checking to see what he could be charged for or invent a crime. The Police stopped the car and put their son in handcuffs. Both parents, upset, were protesting their son's innocence. Until the son pointed to a camera recording the ugly scene as a prank!

The National Assembly should criminalize scam artists, spiritual charlatans and ritualists equally. Regardless of their religious affiliation or origin: locally or foreign. Pastors and Imams exploit these foreign religions the way their slave masters use it to capture us. There used to be Jesu Oyibo that popularized nondenominational services in those days and he demanded tithes, usually a percentage of their salaries, from members to run the Church.

When any of us is down and in distress, we need somebody to lean on. We become vulnerable to whoever promises us deliverance. We've seen skillful doctors, scientists and the very rich travel far and wide outside their expertise and country for cures; only to die for lack of primary nursing care. In our most vulnerable moments, no matter how much money we have, according to billionaire Steve Jobs, we cannot buy another body to replace us on our dying bed.

The Pastors and Imams that blackmail in the name of God, by extorting money and sex from followers or politicians are popular, their transgressions are forgiven while Pastors and Imams that denounced them are ignored. They call themselves miracle workers but go overseas for treatment of various diseases. They claim they cure the same diseases. Pastors or Immans also protect themselves with armed body guards but tell followers to rely on God's protection!

Africans still have reservations about exposing Catholic Church priests for extortions while the rest of the world have sued them in courts and collected millions of dollars in compensation. We just do not believe that religious leaders could be so advantageous. Even when people come forward and claim they have been extorted or blackmailed by religious leaders, some of us still express some doubts and blame the victims in Africa. Pastors' money greed excludes religion.

Whatever religion we believe in, foreign or indigenous, brave Imans & Pastors before now had condemned charlatans among them. The Petitions of Adelabu to DSS over Primate Ayodele’s ₦150m Demand For ‘Spiritual Help” reminds us they are not better or purer than native doctors who demand unspeakable rituals. Police have raided “fetish” shrines in the Eastern or Western parts of the country but there are some reservations for foreign religious pastors and imams.

Another Pastor, Chris Okafo, founder of Liberation and Miracle Ministry was accused by Nollywood Actress Doris Ogala of various sexual affairs with members of his Church. His Nepo daughter in Canada also claimed there are more salacious secrets which she would reveal unless Pastor Okafor pays her school fees for the past year in thousands of dollars in Canada. He denied most of the allegations but kneel down in Church and beg for members’ forgiveness.

Sometimes you have to wonder if most pastors are sex maniacs or they become sex maniacs with the authority of the pastoral calling. It could also be one of the fridge benefits of the job.

It's puzzling how a section of the country that have ruled Nigeria even before full Independence as Governor, President, occupied most powerful positions in Obasanjo and Jonathan's Government either by alliance with NPC or coup d'etat:

Fear To End Economic Exploitation Is Not About Saving Christians

When have World Powers come out to defend the Economic Interest of the African countries? As they think about Africans, it has always been about economic subjugation. Their ways of getting free resources and free workers is to cheapen what they see as products so that they can take it at bargain base price. If they don’t have their way, Gunboat Diplomacy of Mass Destruction to bomb you into ashes and reduce your country to rubble is their weapon!

The radical extremists pushing or trying to choose religion for any African country are only looking for ways to destabilize and polarize the country along religious lines. These are not serious Christians themselves. They do not belong to or attend any church but are quick to misinterpret their own Bible to justify Slavery, abolition of Civil Rights for women and minorities and roll back gains made by progressive sectors upon which their country triumphs.

It is very difficult to believe that a reasonably constituted authority in the world would dictate to an African country today which religious laws to proscribe. How have you succeeded in China or Afghanistan? Though Nigeria adopted British ways from the Era of Roman and Judeo-Christian laws, Sharia laws are not the problem in Nigeria. Sharia applies to the Talikawa but hardly to the rich Muslims. Otherwise, many hands of Northern political kleptomaniacs could have been cut!

People are very conscious about their very existence and are willing to take help from anywhere for preservation. Most of the time a helping hand always has a price in the face of existential threat. We cannot condemn those who feel so threatened that they become desperate for any salvation, even from the devil, believing that a temporary relief is better than none. Christians are crying for help but so are the helpless Muslims, facing a real impending blackmail massacre.

The blessing in disguise of the threat of foreign invasion is that the Nigerian House finally came together to discuss openly without fear, an agreement on combating Boko Haram sponsors and enablers terrorizing communities throughout the country. One would think this is the first time they become aware of members and sponsors of Boko Haram. Of course, the negotiators are political bandits who hold folks to ransom in order to extort as much money as they can get.

The silver lining is local Police and local vigilantes have become real again, now supported in the North and South of the country. These have always been a difficult sticking point since some powerful politicians and retired Generals want central control so that they could spill military intelligence and call off the Military and Police defenders; whenever sponsors and members of Boko Haram are about to be incinerated as the USA did. There is no way terrorists can become so bold to parade themselves openly with impunity, unless they have backers in the high places.

FOREX LAUNDERED ABROAD FOR MISEDUCATION OF NEPO YOUTHS

Many Africans and their parents want their Youths well educated, no matter where. Before African parents were sending money to their children abroad, African students had to go during the day to colleges, work nights and weekends to pay for school fees, rooms and food. When scholarships and loans became available, the Central Bank also facilitated remittance for a few students. This has opened the door for abusers and looters to drain African foreign Reserves.

There was a time Africans needed education in foreign countries because of fewer reputable universities in Africa. Most of our Freedom Fighters and Activists obtained their education in foreign countries and returned home to contribute and share their knowledge. If you qualified abroad in those days and did not come back home after graduation, people said you wanted to kill your mother with grief.

Unfortunately, at the expense of the schools and colleges neglected at home; they suffered. It later became a status symbol for rich parents to send their children to schools abroad. Other parents with little or no money followed the trend looking for foreign currencies anyway and anywhere by hook or crook. It led to looting and cornering every allocation by politicians for money laundering abroad. After all, getting into politics is the easiest way to make money.

Attracting foreign students, sometimes to mediocre schools, became big business abroad. African countries are the place to recruit students to developed countries because they believe any school or college abroad is better than schools at home. Though there are better and more reputable universities in Africa. Since the western governments are restricting visas to foreign students, many schools abroad are now laying off professors and eliminating programs.

When it comes to religious tolerance, you cannot mention Yoruba and other Nigerians in the same sentence or lump Yoruba worldwide with other ethnic groups, no matter which country they are. Please if anyone know any group's tolerance apart from Yoruba, please educate us.

Generally, I agree with you. The post is not denying the success of some Nigerians in Nigeria or some success of Blacks in America. Of course there are successfully Nigerians in Nigeria, though Structural Adjustment has wiped out middle class.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'Black American,' but it's not true that Nigerians only succeed when they're outside their country. The richest Black person in the world is Nigerian, and he didn't inherit his wealth; he made it in Nigeria.

Lots of Nigerians have found success in their fields while still living in Nigeria.

In fact, most people who've found success in Nigeria generally don't move away; it's the ones who are struggling who see migrating as a do-or-die situation.

You've got Linda Ikeji, Seun from Nairaland, and the founders of the new fintech companies—they stayed in Nigeria and made it big.

And not everyone who goes abroad ends up successful, you know.

MILITARY RULE EXACERBATE COLONIAL MENTALITY IN AFRICA

If military rule cannot liberate Africa from vestiges of colonialism, what could? The Activists and Independence Fighters fought and courageously gained Political Independence but Economic Independence still eluded them. Structural Adjustment that Buhari rejected and Ibrahim Babangida accepted reveal the beginning of the end of local Economic Salvation. It gave birth to Foreign Economic Salvation and the rise of Japa flight to foreign countries in Nigeria.

Despite the effort of Herbert MacCauley, Nkrumah of Ghana, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Obafemi Awolowo, Ahmadu Bello in West Africa, Jomo Kenyata, Joshua Nkomo, Robert Mugabi, Patrice Lumumba in Central, East Africa. Walter Sisulu, Oliver Tambo, Steve Biko, Nelson Madela, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, Joe Slavo, Albert Lutuli in South Africa and others. African countries lost their balance and have never regained control sixty years later.

We cannot categorically state that the worst form of Civilian administration is better than the best form of Military rule. But Africans can now discern clearly whether Civilian administrations or Military rules made our countries better or worse off. The reason many Africans cheered military coups is because we thought civilian administration was so corrupt, nothing could be worse. Well, the Army has demonstrated that they come from the same culture of greed.

The idealistic goal of the First military coup in Nigeria never materialized because of ethnic betrayal. Military rule in African countries was our greatest disappointment. It erased the progress made by Freedom Fighters and introduced impunity by armed robbery. Nigeria that was supposed to lead as the so-called Giant of Africa collapsed under the military rules with devastating consequences for the rest of Africa.

Everyday Nigerians are reminded of their mistakes and reliance on the Military Force to solve all or most of our problems. All the military leaders with good intentions from Kaduna Nzeogwu, Murtala Muhammed, Buhar-Idiagbon and Obasanjo either were usurped or derailed out of personal ambition, greed or coverup of misdeeds of enormous proportion.

The recent encounter between the Abuja Administrator and a Lieutenant in the Army pointed to the vestiges as a reminder of how far Nigeria has stunted into the colonial past that trained our Army to plan coups and usurped legally constituted authority of elected government. What is even more damning was the cheers from some masses praising and encouraging the same way we cheered when the Army overthrew Civilian governments. An anomaly labeled courageous!

Have you ever asked yourself why Black Americans succeed no matter which country they go to but not in their own country? If Nigeria turns to Paradise, some people will still japa. This is not the first time a striving or successful African community has been vanquished in the history of the world. Right from the time the Papal Bull of 1452 issued by Pope Nicholas V granted Portugal the right to capture and enslave African people along the West African Coast by the Portuguese. Then there was the Scramble for Africa by colonial brutes in the Berlin Conference of 1884-1885.

It did not end there, the British used Protectorate Power to impose their will on Africans from South to East Africa, recruiting Africans they had captured to fight other African entities that were far advanced and more cultured than them but without the killer instinct of war mongering. They ran down the Zulu, Ashanti, Bini, Yoruba and others under the pretext of refined “culture” and Christian religion as if the African did not have their own religion. Even successful African businesses in their communities like Black Wall Street, were vanquished under unsavory pretext. Buffalo Soldiers were denied compensation in the USA and Unregularized in Britain.

Africans still remember how Patrice Lumumba was overthrown and how Kwame Nkrumah was labeled corrupt by the most corrupt countries of the world. When they think of Africa, they see cheap or free labor and exploitation of natural resources. So they create chaos, war or sponsor terrorists only to declare war on them later. Either way, destabilization to cart away rare metals is the ultimate goal.

WHO LOVES NIGERIA: FOREIGN INVASION THREAT MAYBE A BLESSING IN DISGUISE

Did you hear about the threat made against Nigeria, the most populous individual Black nation on mother Earth? Africans usually say Nigeria is too big to fail because of the number of refugees that would be displaced outside. Not even those threatening Nigeria would take their refugees. Indeed, they are sending Nigerians with legally obtained visas back and reviewing or recalling the green card holders.They could care less if Nigeria becomes another Libya!

What and who has forsaken the Africans? Nigeria managers intentionally ignored available technology in their possession that can track and calculate how much natural resources, money and people are going out or coming in. So that the country can remain either their Cash Cow without accountability; or forfeit their country’s sovereignty to Foreign Salvation and God. But nothing can stop them from looting, even if it takes making a deal with the devil.

If Nigeria cannot be used as a Cash Cow within, it must be destroyed by any means. It does not make a difference how: Some, luckily not most, either pray for foreign invasion by Christian Crusade or Muslim Jihad.
