Borno South Senator, Ali Ndume says President Bola Tinubu does not need to be the chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections.

Ndume stated this on Wednesday while fielding questions in an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time.

He argued that the president is the “product” of the APC being sold to the electorate, stressing that the party’s national chairman should lead such efforts.

Recall that Tinubu last week constituted his Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 polls and made himself the chairman.

Reacting, however, Ndume said, “If I had the ear of Mr President, he does not need to be the Presidential Campaign Council chairman. What is the party doing ?

The governors of every state should head the presidential campaign in their respective states, and there should be a coordinating team to coordinate them.”

It's sad that a local production company was shut down because of vandalism by locals. Such people are still around... even more in number today ... and more desperate. My concern is what security measures would be in place to prevent employees and vandals from causing the company to close again. I doubt they would use the original formula .... because the cookies will be too expensive for the masses to afford. They will cut down on production costs. Will that affect sales?... as in people not buying because it doesn't taste the same? I doubt it. Even if they use the original formula ... it will not taste the same to most people ... it's been seventeen years... our taste buds are not like they used to be .. our cravings are not like they used to be ... the cookies were a hit with young people ... the present generation of young people never had them so it will be just another cookie on the market and they will judge them with the competition. .. judge in taste ... and more importantly... price. If the FG is serious about boosting local industries ... the there must be heavy import duties on imported products that can be produced locally. If this doesn't happen... I can see the company shutting down again because it cannot compete with the imports.
