DesireV: There is a 54mins documentary about the man on YouTube. Just type Safiriyu Tiamiyu. What I can deduce is that he had issues with his workers regarding Labour Union establishment in his factory which eventually extended to issues with the community hosting his factories because at least 75% of his staff were indigenes of the host community. This subsequently resulted into the blackmail.
I'll advise anyone wanting to establish business/factory/company to do so in friendly communities and make indigenes of the host communities minority of the staff strength so that your attempt to checkmate your staff won't be seen as fighting the community. It will also prevent this passive self entitlement that often accompany giving indigenes huge numbers. It's a labour law to employ indigenes 💯 |

chicfarmer: The current global disruption with the war in Iran is a good reason to invoke the break clause in those forward contracts and ensure we have sufficient local supply first before exporting anything. American crude is cheaper for Dangote, common business sense. |
Politics › Re: Dangote Refinery Imported $3.74 Billion Crude Oil In 2025 – CBN by Gotocourt: 8:23pm On Mar 19 |
chicfarmer: After them go say Dem dey give dangote crude oil. Let Dem cancel some forward contracts and channel the crude to dangote, fuel prices go drop and we'll have a healthier balance of payments. Easier said than done. U want make court cases finish Nigeria abi🤷🏿 |
Politics › Re: Dangote Refinery Imported $3.74 Billion Crude Oil In 2025 – CBN by Gotocourt: 8:21pm On Mar 19 |
Godfullsam: I wonder why dangote is still importing crude oil and Nigeria is still exporting crude oil at the same time.
Why can the Nigerian government sell enough crude to dangote? It will be a win - win game since they are selling to him at the international rate and it will ease the pressure on dollar. Crude for loan is still under payment. |
Politics › Re: Dangote Refinery Imported $3.74 Billion Crude Oil In 2025 – CBN by Gotocourt: 8:19pm On Mar 19 |
ratcock: I recall in the 2000’s Dangote established a petroleum exploration company. Assuming back then he invested heavily into oil exploration, he won’t be having issues with importing crude oil. It's the federal government that sells crude. Exploration companies get their cash cut. |
