Pastor who was Stripped Naked And Paraded For Sleeping with a Married Woman Explains What Really Happened


Reports surfaced on the social media alleging that Prophet Obi O. Obi of Anchor of the Restoration Church located at Owufuju Street, Asaba, Delta State, was caught with a married woman. The story was accompanied with pictures showing him in his panties holding his church banner as he was being paraded on the streets. No one could have doubted the authenticity of that story. But Prophet (Dr.) Obi O. Obi called Olu Famous, publisher of OluFamous.Com on phone and gave his own version of the saga – what really happened. The man of God said he was set up by a lady.

Prophet Obi said that he was set up by a lady who was the Secretary of his church but was dismissed few months back and she became bitter. How did it start? He said he received a call from someone who sounded distressed, telling him that there was an emergency and begged him to come quickly to pray for a sick person who was about to die.

He was given a certain address and he rushed down as a Prophet who doesn’t hesitate to help anyone in distress. Unfortunately, as soon as he got to the address he was kidnapped, bundled into a vehicle and driven back to his church. He said the guys who abducted him assaulted him and accused him of sleeping with a married woman, without mentioning the name of any woman to him.

It wasn’t as if Prophet Obi was caught red handed sleeping with a married woman as was alleged. When they got to his church, the guys brought him down from the vehicle, forced him to take off all he was putting on, he then sighted the same lady
who he sacked as the Secretary of his church. That was how he got to know she was the one who sent them to disgrace him and rubbish his church.

Prophet Obi said two of the guys who kidnapped him from the compound he was invited to and took him back to the front of his church, had guns and shot in the air, claiming to be SARS. He said he had to “corporate” with them, to avoid being shot. And he used his church’s programme banner to cover himself after the guys had stripped him to his pants. He said that nobody could come close to help him because two of the guys had guns.

He said all the allegations against him are false, and that was why no woman was seen in the pictures that were sent to the social media. Prophet Obi added that the incident happened since on Wednesday and that Police is now involved. They have obtained the phone number that was used to call him and have assured him that all those involved in the CONSPIRACY would be tracked down.He said everyone to disregard those pictures circulating, saying he only played along to save his life.

Fifteen-year-old Mary Udo has yet to recover fully after being allegedly raped by a police inspector penultimate Thursday. However, the Divisional Police Officer, Mkpat Enin Police Division, on Wednesday, sent pastors and other police officers to the victim’s family to plead for forgiveness. Udo was allegedly raped at gunpoint by the inspector while she was returning from church. Udo’s uncle, Dr. Ime Stephen, who made the visit known to our correspondent, said he was surprised to see the clerics in his home who came to plead on behalf of the police inspector. Stephen said the pastors, who described themselves as senior apostles, begged him to forgive the inspector, saying the rape case was a big shame not only to the personality of the inspector, but also to the image of the Nigeria Police Force. Stephen said he reminded them he was not the rape victim, while adding that if the clerics and the police officers had come to see him as the guardian of the victim, he did not have any right to stop them from such visit. He said the case was reported to the DPO and the family had expected the DPO to come personally and see the victim and apologise to the family given the seriousness of the alleged crime. He said, “We sent a message across to the DPO as the head of that division, telling him what had happened, and as the head of that division, we had expected him to have come and apologise, or at least see the victim’s family and the victim, show some love and respect to the family because of what had happened in his jurisdiction. “This is a very serious thing – police inspector raping a 15-year-old girl at gunpoint. This is more than robbery. He not only raped the girl, but he also ‘kidnapped’ her for three days, and collected a ransom of N10,000 as bail. What a shame!” Stephen said the girl, apart from undergoing treatment in a hospital, also needed to be rehabilitated and undergo therapy. Meanwhile, Udo, a Senior Secondary School 1 victim said she would never forgive the police officer for what he did to her, adding that she was still shocked by the wickedness of the police inspector. “It was a harrowing experience. There is nothing on earth that would make me forgive the inspector,” she said. The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Cordelia Nwawe, in her reaction, said she would not disclose the identity of the police inspector alleged to have raped Udo. She said, “I would not like to give you the name of the police officer, but we are committed to duty at the headquarters through our Commissioner of Police, Mr. Murtala Mani. He has waded into the matter. “Investigation is ongoing and I’m sure the policeman alleged to have raped the 15-year-old girl is in custody. When the investigation becomes very conclusive, we will get back to the press, hopefully by next week.”

A 54-year-old former councillor of Sapele Local Government Council in Delta State, Mr. John Onose, has been arrested by the police for allegedly defiling a seven-year-old girl.

The incident, it was gathered, happened on Tuesday afternoon after the ex- council lawmaker allegedly lured the kid to a nearby bush around Fovie Street before forcefully sleeping with the victim. Mother of the teenage girl, sources told Southern City News, got wind of what was happening when she discovered that her daughter was bleeding through her vagina and anus on Wednesday.
The suspect, who is said to be married with six children, was confronted by the victim’s mother after her daughter gave details of the incident. The KG two pupil’s mother, who identified herself as Mrs. Onome Ojakovo, told journalists at the Sapele Central Hospital, where the girl is currently receiving treatment that her daughter had earlier complained that she was having pain in her ‘bombom’ without taking her seriously.
Narrating her daughter’s ordeal, she said, “But when she came back from the school the next day and was still complaining of the pains, I decided to pull her pant, what I saw shocked me, my daughter was bleeding from her private part and her womb was pulling out. “In my shock, I raise the alarm, which attracted our neighbours, it was then it dawned on me that my child has been sexually violated. I started crying and I couldn’t imagine who could be this wicked to have done this evil to my little child? “I was then advised to put salt in a hot water with disinfectant. While I was forcing my daughter outside to sit on the hot water, the suspect came out of his compound and was walking to and fro. “And when my daughter saw him, she pointed to him as the man that injured her.”
A senior officer in Sapele Police Station where the matter is being addressed, confirmed the development to Southern City News on the phone saying the suspect has been arrested. The officer added that the result of the medical test was still being awaited. It was gathered that the suspect was once an aide to the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Mr. Monday Igbuya. When contacted, the spokesman of the Delta State Police Command, Celestina Kalu, confirmed the incident and added that the matter was already under investigation.

Aides of Senators and House of Representatives members under the aegis of National Assembly Legislative Aides Forum, said on Sunday that Samuel, the younger brother of Senator Dino Melaye, should not be imposed on them because they had already elected Mr. Darlington Udeh, as NASSLAF chairman.

The group in a statement on Sunday in Abuja by its Public Relations Officer, Mr.Yusuf Bamidele, said Melaye, was not qualified to lead NASSLAF because he had earlier failed to secure a ticket to contest the seat at his geo-political zone level.

The lawmakers’ aides also explained that allowing Melaye to lead them would also amount to violation of zoning arrangement in its constitution, because he is from the North Central, the same geopolitical zone, with the out-going chairman, Mahmood Muhammed.

But in a telephone interview with our correspondent on Sunday, Melaye said, he was duly elected by over 300 of his colleagues at a well publicised election within the National Assembly and witnessed by top management staff, security operatives and the executive of the parliamentary staff.

He denied losing out in an election at the zonal level adding that the Darlington Udeh group, did not hold any congress before it decided to hold an election where about 38 people were said to have elected him.

Melaye said Udeh and some of his supporters are currently being investigated by security agencies over their roles in the disruption of the inauguration of the new NASSLAF executive at the Senate President conference room last Thursday.

He said, “Every important person in the National Assembly witnessed my election where over 300 aides participated. It was widely reported in the media and the representatives of the security agencies in the federal parliament observed it in company with top management staff.”

The Udeh’s group noted in its statement that it held its election on Thursday,April 28, this year, where its officers were elected in the full glare of the media, and wondered why some people within the National Assembly management was trying to impose Melaye on its members.

On Thursday, at about to 9 pm, I took a walk to this Big - Treat eatery just around my house to pick up something for dinner. I was praying and hoping they will come during the day but till now am yet to see them.


Note : I know some people will ask, why did I run when am not guilty of anything, the reason is, the same thing happened to my cousin brother at that same point just a month ago .
