CelebritiesRe: An Open Letter To All Nigerian Celebrities Who Love Flaunting Their Wealth by gragraboy: 4:03am On Mar 18, 2015
Cyb3rhack3r:
To All Our Celebrities,
I congratulate you all for working hard in life and
making a name for yourselves, it isn't easy but there
are certain things that ought to be corrected. I'm in
no way saying that you shouldn't spend your money
how you deem fit, but you have to look at this issue.
The issue is that most of you flaunt their wealth all
over the social media, especially that boy Wizkid.
There are ways you spend your money and i wonder
whether you guys are really sensible. Please Answer
This Few Questions

How would you buy a watch of $20,000 when a
watch of N250 would serve the same purpose?

You Recently Bought A Car Of N24.8m, When A Car
Of N1.5m would still transport you to anywhere you
want.

How Would A Sensible Person Buy A Suit Or Dress
Of N300,000 when a N5000 Suit Made By A Tailor
Would Serve The Same Purpose.

Tonto Dike or whatever ;You Bought An Iphone6,
"You No Go Let Us Hear Word"
Are you the first person to buy an Iphone6?
And still spoilt two IPhones in two days. Showing Us
How Confused you Are?

What Would It Have Cost You If You Gave That
Money To The Less Privileged
When You Die Who Would Wear That Suit, Who
Would Wear That Watch, Who would ride those cars..
Who would use that expensive perfume and phone.
Remember These Words, Vanity Upon Vanity, All Is
Vanity.

Invest In the lives of people, that's the best you can
do.. You never know, that Doctor that might save you
might be someone you helped. Many People Are on
the streets looking for help, Students Need Money To
Go To school.
Trust Me You Wouldn't Wanna End Up Like The Rich
man And Lazarus In the Bible.
Rich American Celebs Don't Even Flaunt Their wealth
the way Nigerians Do..

As For Wizkid, I have one word for you, Even The
Late Michael Jackson is still richer and better than
you. The Only difference is that you're alive.
M.J never flaunted His Wealth..
I once again thank you all for reading this.

Have A Pleasant Day

http:///XzO
1st of all i would say that i have come in contact with few celebs and i would like u to know 3 things.
1. Because you don't see them on the streets sharing money, doesn't mean that they don't give. Most of them came from poor humble beginnings and they still help out where they came from.
2. Some of those flashy things you see them with are just for endorsement. Some are given to them free or very cheap. It is a form of advertisement for for those products. And part of the deal is that they flaunt it.
3. Even if they buy expensive things. Is it a crime to enjoy the fruits of one's labour however he/she sees fit? If u knew the background of some of them you wouldn't blame them. As far as they didn't commit any crime to make their money, whatever they do with it is btw they and God.
PoliticsRe: Why Buhari Wins All The Polls Online(opinion) by gragraboy: 1:53pm On Mar 17, 2015
TheLeader:
Ever wondered why Buhari wins all the online polls? Here is what I think-

I think its because the bulk of the populace that actually know what's going on in the country are the ones that have access to the internet and know how to use it, hence the overwhelming support for the opposition online. We've seen Buhari sweep polls conducted by even AIT and GEJ's aids...Surprising huh?

Why doesn't this necessarily replicate itself when it comes to the poorest of the poor?

Most...yea most Nigerians in our numerous villages that constitute the bulk of the country don't have access to the internet...or can't use it. At best they are stuck with NTA and the network news on radio...I need not state how one-sided the news here can be. Furthermore, these people(some of my friends and relatives included) are predominantly illiterates so might not have the ability to rate the Government's performance objectively, hence their inclination to vote along ethnic/religious line rather that the capability of the candidates.

...so next time you see 400 like in 3 minutes for the opposition, don't wonder if persons have multiple accounts and can switch between 50 of those accounts in 3mins just to click like...nt feasible right? well I thought so too.

These persons are just the majority of enlightened Nigerians trying to salvage whatever is left of our once great country before it is too late.

"If you try, you might fail, but if you fail to try, you've failed already".

Now you know why Buhari wins the polls online.

#MyOneKoboOpinion
But you know the southerners are generally more exposed to the internet that the northerners so imagine if the village northerners were to add their own input in the polls the numbers will double for Buhari

President Jonatha's children all school in Nigeria. Thatts leading by example. Buhari said he's poor yet training d daughter abroad. Who's fooling who?
As a former Head of state and a retired General in the army do you know how much his pension is?....he can very much afford to send his children there, and probably because that is where he is investing his money, you can't see him living a flamboyant lifestyle.
PoliticsRe: Battle Of Kukawa, Nigerian Army, Civilian JTF Pound Boko Haram (video) by gragraboy: 9:44am On Mar 15, 2015
VolvoS60:

There is no need to insult him and call him names. Your catty comments about him 'carrying a high tech camera to go do investigative journalism' undecided will not help anyone.

He has asked some pertinent questions. Whether or not you want to admit it, Nigerians have a right to be skeptical. You know the things that have happened concerning this whole Boko Haram nonsense. I do not need to repeat them here. Your fellow citizens should not be branded unpatriotic when they ask questions - questions that are sensible and rational.

Some points addressing some of the questions raised by 'genbuhari' grin:

I believe that the language being spoken by some of the soldiers in the video is Hausa - the most widely spoken language in Northern Nigeria. When it is considered that a significant number of Nigerian soldiers are of Northern extraction, then you have the answer to your question right here - it is understandable that they would communicate in Hausa. Of course, the question of whether this is proper is another matter entirely. But remember that Northern Nigerians historically made up the bulk of the rank and file of NA from the time when it was formed, through independence and over the years till now. Maybe the military high command just didn't aggressively enforce the use of english over the years. Who knows?

It may also seem unusual that none of the soldiers takes cover even though gun and artillery fire is all around them. I guess the answer to that question is that it is their (NA) fire (and not enemy fire) that is booming. It appears that NA troops are the ones shelling enemy positions and they are not under any threat of returned fire from Boko Haram combatants.

As for NA troops travelling with 'civilian JTF' fighters - I do not have any easy answers on this one. The civilian JTF has been a useful ally (despite the potential for abuse) to the NA in solving the problem. They provide useful intelligence and help with 'recce' since these are their towns and villages and they know the terrain well. However, I am not sure its best for them to accompany the NA on operations and missions. I even suspect (I am not sure though) that the stand off at the end of the video was between some NA troops and civilian JTF members. The camera phone is knocked out of the recorder's hand towards the end of the video and you can hear raised voices alluding to some violence carried out by some combatants on some other party. Again, I'm not sure - I wasn't there.

Summary: The poster has asked some relevant questions. Answer them instead of branding him a deceiver.
Na you get time oo!....

RomanceRe: Signs Of A Potential Wife-Beater by gragraboy: 4:30pm On Feb 26, 2015
emusmith:
How do you detect a "possible" wife- beater?

I've met quite a few of them in my life so I know their qualities by heart.

It's not CERTAIN he's going to be a wife beater. It's a PROBABILITY.

Ladies, be on the watch out for these signs!

1. He Playfully Hits You On The Head.

This is one major sign. You don't hit a Lady on the head, for no reason.

2. He Quickly Flares Up And Clinch His Fists

You're still dating and when there is a misunderstanding, he clinches his fist. Haba! Your jaw go hear am be that o grin

3. When You Hurt Him, He Pushes Things To The Floor.

You're the things he's pushing to the floor while expressing rage. If you marry him, he'll push down one day.

4. He jokingly bends your hand backwards.

If he wants to play, he should give you a piggyback and run down the seashore. Bending your tiny hand no follow joor! grincheesy

5. If He Likes Showing Off His Chest When You're Quarrelling.

That's the way he intimidates others during a fight. He is unconsciously doing it. Take note o! grin

6. If He's A Drunk/ Smoker.

Drunkards? Hmm...it's hard to find the one who don't beat.
He just can't control it.
When he don "fa 'Igbo" or take 5 bottles of Ogogoro ( Chelsea ), foggerit...You're just one tiny ant grin

7. If He's In The Military.

Some military men are womanizers. "Some" is me being nice.
If he's womanizing and you start your probing, he could mistakenly hit you someday.

8. If He Is Too Possessive

When men are too possessive, they will become aggressive and that... is not good.

9. If His Daddy Is A Wife Beater

Someone said, if you watch closely you will see history repeat itself- sons becoming like their fathers, girls like their mothers. How True? It varies though! smiley

A Potential Wife Beater Shouldn't Be Spared Or Managed If You Really Love Life.

You can't endure the relationship where he has turned you into a punching bag. No!

Come out and be the real African woman you are meant to be: Self Confident, Intelligent, Smart, Meek and Beautiful.

Don't let no man control you with money!

If only you know what you really worth, you won't be surviving in that " abusive/ maltreating" relationship! sad

smiley

What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
Oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!
Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful,
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Are we weak and heavy-laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.
Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised
Thou wilt all our burdens bear;
May we ever, Lord, be bringing
All to Thee in earnest prayer.
Soon in glory bright, unclouded,
There will be no need for prayer—
Rapture, praise, and endless worship
Will be our sweet portion there.
Which one come be all dis one again? huh
