Literature/Writing Ads / How To Successfully Submit Your Manuscript To Any Literary Agent! by Grand007: 2:28pm On Oct 22, 2016
Finally, you’ve finished writing that book. How long did it take? Months? Years? The truth is…it doesn’t matter. What matters is your book is now ready. But you’re not done. Writing the book is the first part of the journey. Getting it published is the second and most important part of the journey. Now, you need a publisher. So, how do you find one? Where do you find one that will accept and publish your kind of book?

This is where a literary agent comes in. Literary agents are the gatekeepers between authors and the book publishing contracts of their dreams. A good literary agent thoroughly understands how the publishing world works. They know what makes publishers and editors tick. And most importantly, they know how to negotiate and help you secure good publishing contracts.

So, how do you successfully submit your manuscript to a literary agent? Admittedly this can be quite a daunting task…if you lack the right information.

Literary agents receive large volumes of submissions from aspiring writers like you, daily. Sadly, most of these submissions end up in the ‘slush pile’ – a sort of graveyard for novels…even great stories.

Why?

Well, because the Query, Synopsis, and Manuscript were NOT professionally written, formatted and submitted.

Literary agents have only a few minutes, sometimes seconds, to decide if a book is worth their time…or not.

In this remarkable book, you will learn, with practical examples, how to:

• Write a brilliant Query
• Write a detailed Synopsis
• Properly format your Manuscript
• Write the perfect proposal for your nonfiction book.

In addition, you’ll have unique access to a carefully-selected list of over 40 credible literary agents you can send your work to. It must be noted that these agents are interested in reading stories by African writers.

Furthermore, also contained in this book is a list of reliable places where you can publish your poetry books and plays.

You are GUARANTEED to learn how to successfully get your manuscript past ANY literary agent and go on to getting the publishing contract of your dream!

This book is available as an eBook. The price is N1, 500.

Poems For Review / Specially Made by Grand007: 6:33pm On Mar 13, 2013
I'm who I am,
'Cos I was made so.
You're who you are,
'Cos you were made so.

I can't be you,
'Cos I am me.
You can't be me,
'Cos you're you.

So, why are you me?
When I'm already me.
And why am I you?
When you're already you.

It's inane to have me, as you,
And to have you, as me;
'Cos you were made you,
And I was made me.

You can't be me,
And I can't be you;
As it's better you, as you,
And me, as me.

Poems For Review / Bottled Rat by Grand007: 6:11pm On Mar 13, 2013
In there lies the cheese; Sniffing. Enticing. Drawing.
Yummy - calling out loudly.
Should resist. Should be gone.
But the urge...oh, the urge...so hot.
Can this be a trap? Maybe.
A furtive glance all round.
The coast seems clear. Safe.
But why in there...in that glassy thing?
What's it called again?...
ah, yes, a bottle.
Sniffing. Watching. Waiting. Vibrating.
Haven't had a decent meal in days.
In there, danger. Out here, hunger.
Think. Think. Think. Quick. Quick. Quick.
I can do this. Fast in. Fast out.
What's the worst thing that can happen?
Hungry and alive. Satisfied and dead.
But the cheese smells so delicious.
Craving trumped caution.
Made a mad dash for it.
Hardly in when the bottle closed.
A determined sound. Too bad.
Well, at least I've got the cheese.
Instantly gobbled it up - And calmly waited for an unknown fate.

Poems For Review / Reborn by Grand007: 5:46pm On Mar 13, 2013
Out comes the object of derision,
Conceived after a hasty union along an unlit alley,
By a mother wholly enslaved to syringes
And a father utterly imprisoned by bottles.
The brawls were painfully endless -
Shouting, slapping, kicking, and smashing.
For ages I remained a constant reminder of error - the bridge linking two wrongs.
I grew up, thickly blanketed by rejection and hate, and soon found solace hugging the streets -
Gleefully content as the devil's lieutenant.
Clearly, I was marked; born by bad, born for bad.
I delightedly played the black messenger;
Drinking, lying, stealing, drugging, hurting...
I got dipper into hell's pit -
A soul entirely spun out of order; surely damned.
I continually ate and drank vile - of all sorts.
But the emptiness...oh, the emptiness...it hurt;
Burning, ripping, searing, slicing, tearing...
The ghostly voice just wouldn't let me be!
'Son...you're much more than this...
Let me in...I can help... just let me in.'
For so long I fought it... yes, I violently fought it:
'Leave me alone! Get away from me!'
But it kept on; pushing, pressing, pleading...
I couldn't go on; I was so ablaze within.
Desperate, wretched, broken, and crying - I let it in.
The change was gloriously instant - a transformation
Solidly nailed to peace, purity and hallowed purpose.
At last, I was whole - whole and home.
That night was magic...
the night I was reborn.

Programming / Re: Should A Programmer Marry A Programmer? by Grand007: 1:44pm On Aug 09, 2008
well, in opinion there is nothing wrong in that. The most important thing is : Is there a Divine Connection? That by all means should be the Basic Benchmark for any reasonable
relationship.
