Celebrities › Re: Speed Darlington Paid Me ₦250,000 Out Of ₦30m From His Fight — Manager, Goski by grandstar(m): 10:53pm On Oct 09 |
dgr8truth: This person sounds greedy and entitled. Did he have an agreement with Speed Darlington that he would receive a percentage of the money earned from the fight, and did Speed subsequently renege on that agreement? If they had an agreement that was deliberately breached, then he has every right to complain. But if they had already agreed on how he would be paid for the services he rendered, why should he automatically expect a percentage of every deal.
If Speed gave him ₦250,000 outside their normal payment arrangement, then he should appreciate the gesture rather than act as though he was automatically entitled to a share of the ₦30 million. However, if the ₦250,000 was his agreed commission for securing the deal, that is an entirely different matter.
The point is that we must learn to distinguish between what we are entitled to and what we merely expect to receive. Working closely with someone, being loyal to them, or helping them secure opportunities does not automatically entitle us to a share of all their earnings. Compensation should be based on clearly established terms, mutual understanding, and the value of the services rendered.
At the same time, anyone who benefits from another person's hard work should be fair, honour their promises, and never exploit someone simply because there is no written contract. If Goski was genuinely promised 6% of every deal, then Speed should honour that promise, regardless of whether it was written down. But if no such agreement existed, it is unfair to make demands based solely on personal expectations.
Unfortunately, greed and a sense of entitlement have become serious problems in our society. People sometimes feel that because they helped someone rise, they deserve to enjoy the fruits of that person's success indefinitely, even when no such arrangement exists. This mentality can destroy relationships, friendships, business partnerships, and opportunities that could otherwise have lasted for years.
Let us learn to agree on terms before doing business, honour our agreements, appreciate what we receive, and avoid allowing greed to destroy our relationships. Not everything we feel we deserve is something we are actually entitled to, and that is a lesson many of us need to learn. In the long run, an unchecked sense of entitlement can cost us far more than the money we are fighting over. In life, whatever we sow we shall surely reap. In life, we should always ask ourselves, "What would be the outcome if I do this or that?" If was he being emtitled, was 250k justified? Had Speedy thought of the outcome of the money he gave out? Many companies have lost good employees, simply because they felt the employee had become entitled. The term "entitled" hss been used severally to endorse greed, meanness, and selfish behavior. I once met a rich man's personal assistant who wore an old and faded ankara cloth. Even his shoes were an eyesore. He looked hungry. He did not strike me as irresponsible. This is a man representing you! Why not buy him 7 sets of Ankara and sew them for him? I am certain Speedy is stingy with money and thays why the guy is leaving. In this life, a win-win is what we should seek ratner than a win-lose. |

Qadaffi2idiamin: If Buhari could sustain subsidy for the good of his fellow countrymen despite the low oil revenue how can a NADECO democraise who fought for the people not sustain it despite oil windfall.
Keep paying governors. It is because of Buhari that the Naira went from $1- N200 to N1,400. He was not only massively subsidizing petrol, he was also doing same for forex. When Tinubu assumed office, there was only $3.99bn in net forex. The net foreign reserves is the actual fx the central bank has access to. It is also owing buyers of forex as much as $7bn. The forex scarcity was so bad that it chased companies such as Shoprite and GSK out of the country. Why? Because the CBN had sold fx athighly subsidized prices and had run out of it. Dont forget that Buhari signed the PIB which stipulated the end of all subsidies. Even he knew that the subsidy was unsustainable but was too timid or too sweet to do the needed. |

How do you make a point that people who accepted Judaism in Europe now have ties to a land in the Middle East?
Have Ethiopian or Nigerian Jews layed such claim?
How do you use fictional books and beliefs to justify ownership to a land that existed long before the book?
If Yoruba’s also wanted to be stupid, they can claim ownership yo Earth cos Oduduwa sand filled Earth according to documented doctrines.
So you can imagine what will happen if everyone wants to be stupid. The DNA evidence is very strong. It is undeniable. Just like Mecca and Islam cant be divorced, likewise Israel or Judaism. Pls note: I dont believe Jews are Gods people today. So, what I am writing is without bias.

None of these candidates who promise to bring back subsidy will reilntroduce it if elected. The goal is simply to use it to clinch the presidency.
In office, they would say its difficult to being back but we have new policies to alleviate the suffering of the masses.
Despite all the noise, I doubt Obi will achieve the 25% threshold in up to 18 states, while for Atiku, 20 states.
Tinubu should achieve the 25% in at least 28 states like last time, and capture the highest number of votes overall.
