This man has come with his nonsense again

Focus on putting your economy into 8% plus yearly growth rate so has to lift millions of your people out of poverty.

He could raise 100s of millions of dollars in aid from the Western and Arab world who he criticizes here. He is focused on pernanent friends and permanent enemies. When I speak of the Arab world, I am referring to those from the Gulf States and not North African Arabs who are Arabized Berbers.

His prime focus is on permanent enemies.

Someone referred to our conscience as a mother in law visit that never ends.

It will continue to nag at us until we do what is right. It will continue to accuse us when we are doing something wrong or done what is wrong.

Someone else said "There is no pillow as soft as a clear conscience." When our conscience excuses us, we have the peace of mind that comes with it.

Does Nigeria look like a place that God hasn't abandoned

Aren't Nigerians God's children?
The evil one controls the world (Read 1 John 5:19, 2 Corinthians 4:4, Revelations:12:9)

God deals with us personally and not as countries (Read Acts 10:24-25). It is left to us to draw close to him as his children (Read acts 17:27, James 4:8, Eccl 12:13-14)

God wants us to put faith in him and his promised everlasting Kingdom. All earthly kingdoms are doomed (Read Daniel 2:44). Thats why we spend over 1 billion hours bearing witness about that kingdom yearly (Read Mattnews 24:14, 2 Peter 3:13

Foreign Affairs › Re: Russia Is Now Importing Fuel For The First Time In Recent Memory - Telegraph by grandstar(m): 10:32pm On Jul 17
Quelme:
Propaganda, just like washing machine and fighting with shovels.

For your information, Russia is just 6km from the Ukrainian fortress cities of Kramatorsk and about 2km from Slovyansk. Konstanivka another fortress city has just fallen which was built by NATO since 2014 for the defense of Donbass.

Ukraine is just prolonging their suffering. Once the West start parroting their propaganda against you just know they are in a panick mood and you are doing the right thing.

The Russia tactics of attrition is working perfectly. Slowly grinding your enemy such that there's is never a come back after they ( Russia) liberates any city. To the last Ukronazi they say.

No amount of propaganda will stop the special military operation.

501 Ukrainian bodies were exchanged for 31 Russian bodies recently. So far, over the last two years, Ukraine has received 18,325 bodies while Russia has received 588.
You seem to think everything boils down to "winning" or "losing" rather than ending this needless war.

The West will ensure any so-called "win" would come at such great cost to Russia that it would think twice before they invade another country in Europe. No European country wants to be Putin's next prey.

You claiming Russia is advancing in the war, sound no better than pro-Americans who claim they have victoriously completely decimated the Iranian military but can not stop Iranians missile and drones from hitting US bases in the Gulf. What a joke.

The US has done a far much better job in the first few weeks of the US Iran that started early this year than Russia has in over 4 years in Iran. Despite this, the US cant claim victory because of how Iran structured the government and army.

Blackoven:
A very dangerous precedent has already been set. Black South Africans are the worst of the bunch. They have the lowest record for anything positive in South Africa- HDI, companies owned, Life expectancy, education etc.

In South Africa it's the whites at the top, every other race in the middle and the black South Africans at the bottom.

If you love the Nat Geo Wild program Snakes in the City, you'll see this disparity on display. The white neighborhoods are always well-kept, then the Indians and the coloreds. But the Black neighborhood, almost always dirty. I mean lacking resources does not automatically translate to being unsanitary.

They're only good at looting maiming, raping, killing, spreading AIDS and bragging about the achievements of the whites. The best governed province in South Africa are run by the whites. Left to these nincompoops, South Africa would be worst than DRC.
Though i detest the xenophobic attacks in South Africa, what you said is wrong, demeaning and cruel

Nigerians threw out Ghanians in the 80s, complaining they had taken over the jobs, while the real problem was a collapsing oil price. Does that mean Nigerians are or were evil people?A lot of xenophobia is usually steeped in ignorance from both sides. The locals see the immigrants or their descendants as parasites, while the immigrants see the locals as lazy and unenterprising, and that the economy would collapse without them.

I wish i could go indepth but i got work to do.

By the way Ukraine’s population was 41 million as at 2014.

Zelensky made sure it is now below 25 million because he wants to serve his western masters.
Its not as simple as that.

Imagine Nigeria has a long imperialist history and is run by a dictator invades Benin and wants to take it over. Other counteies like Togo Ghana, Cameroon are worried that if Nigeria, they dont know whp might be next.

Russia was the major country in the Soviet Union. Ukraine was once a Soviet state. Eastern Europe was once largely controlled by the Soviet Union.

Countries in Europe are petrified that if they allow Russia take Ukraine, who knows who would be next. Poland waa a communist stare from 1945-1988. It is worried Russia might invade them again. They have rammed up defence spending.

I personally support Ukraine giving up some territory to end the war. Not because it is right, but for the purpose of ending the war.

Ukraine has chosen to cripple the Russian economy and the financing of the war by blowing up oil facilities in Russia.

They are especially bombing oil refineries which is leading to scarcity of petroleum products im the country. Putin seems largely powerless to stop them since Ukraine is using saturation drone attacks.

If they continue like this, in another 1 year tops, Russia would be in severe financial crisis.

Not all countries used protectionist policies to become developed.

Hong Kong has zero import duty on virtually all imports. Singapore has a 3% tax.

Countries that join the EU have no import duty on goods and services from fellow members. Yet , it helped war torn Germany and Italy to become properous. I mentioned these 2 countries because they have large populations.

Protectionism isnt needed to become prosperous.

And about the protectionist policies they followed and their benefits or disbenefits, the devil is in the details.

All the ban on imported cement did was to skyrocket the price and make Dangote and Bua billionaires. The construction and real estate sector believe they were worse off. By making cement more expensive, less property and infrastructure was built.

It is NOT sperm that makes you someone's father!
Other people fight for custody of children tooth and nail. You don't have to do any of that. He's your child and you get ALL the benefits of fatherhood. He carries your name, references you as his father, and if he ever becomes something ALL fatherhood glory will go to you!
Thats in a perfect world

In addition, adultery is a sin. I can still divorce my wife but still have some love for the child.

Business › Re: Cement Sold For ₦15k While The Rest Of Africa Buys Cheaper (See Price Comparison by grandstar(m): 11:23am On Jul 14
The single reason why cement is more expensive here than elsewhere is because the government banned its importation during OBJ's tenure.

Open the gates again and the price would crash. The importation of petrol has prevented excessive profiteering that has characterised cement.

AndroBlaze:
In this age where google is a touch away, outlandish and ridiculous claims like the one in bold are not needed to make a solid point.

There is no doubt that the British used us and got the best out of the relationship with us..... however this does not change the fact that in general, the peoples that make Nigeria, saw development, better health and security while the British ruled us. For example:

Jihadist existed before and during the British. They tamed them.

Yorubas were in a 100 year war between ourselves before and during the British, we eventually got tired and got tamed.

The "Igbo" identity and end of their smalltime republican behaviour was achieved during the British reign.

In 1960, Nigeria's GDP alone was already 10% of Africa's GDP. A typical Nigerian's per capita income then made them as rich or richer than the average South Korean and Chinese.

Also then we did not have such an uneven society with people as strikingly and routinely wealthy as Dangote or our thieving politicians.

So please, take it easy with the Negritude propaganda, when most of you won't even bother to spend time with your grandparents asking their opinion or just a minute or two on google to verify easily debunkable claims.
Alright, I should have done some homework before stat8ng some of my views. Nevertheless, I still stand my ground that they could have done much more.

Your per capita stats did not impress much because times are different. In those times, industrialized countries were rich nations. Nowadays, even poverty stricken Pakistan is labelled as an industrialized nation.

When i did a Google search, it said the British did not put much effort into education, as they ran the nation on a "shoestring budget." That was the exact phrase.

I dont believe in the negritude blabber. I am actually neutral. Likewise, I dont have to meet a grandpa to find out if things were better. My late dad was born 1936. Things are always relative. People would say things were cheap, but everyone was poor. My dad found it hard to feed with a job he had while single, living in the Midwestern State. This was in the 1960s.
Politics › Re: Buhari Left Flourishing Nigeria Behind – Ex-Minister Sirika Claims by grandstar(m): 9:20pm On Jul 13
AndroBlaze:
I don't know what people expect an Ex-minister that was caught stealing to say!!

Definitely life was easier during Buhari's time, but only an extremely dishonest fellow will not accept that from insecurity to a loop sided economy, all these seeds were planted during Buhari and his predecessors time....and yes Tinubu is planting his own seeds that his successor will also suffer from.

As far as I can see, the last people to hand down a better Nigeria than what they initially met, was in 1960, when the British unfortunately handed it back to us!!
The British did not build a single public school. All schools were either the work of missionaries or the communities. Barely 5% of the country's population was literate at Independence.

The British came to profit from their colonies and not to build them. Thats why the amalgamation was done. The South was solvent while the North was not. A merger ended the losses. It made economic sense but not social nor cultural. They score 20% at best.
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do Christians Give Thanksgiving In Church After Losing A Loved One? by grandstar(m):
HeartlandNews:
Who exactly are you thanking for the lose of a loved one?
A a Christian I know it can be for a successful burial but is it biblical?
Though Ecclesiastes 3: 3 says there's time for everything; a time to laugh, cry, celebrate, die, etc.
But what do you think as believers in Christ Jesus?
I thank you for bringing this up.

This is why Jehovahs Witnesses dont celebrate death. It is a time to mourn.

Even Jesus Christ wept, gave way to tears, when he learnt of Lazarus death, despite knowing he would resurrect him.

Thanksgivings are never free. It is a time for the Church to milk the bereaved, if one calls them that.

When my dad died, his childhood church used for the service of songs milked us.

On the other hand, my congregation gave me 16k to assist me which I gave to the family.
