@Abohwun, it autorols sport 24, just insert the latest powervu software, it works well with almost powervu channels, be it east or west side.

Pls how did u go about it cos my own refused to work on Q11g or do you leave it there to hours before it start showing. The card is working well on my SRT 4950h.

@Truly1, try and insert the card properly it will work, my own did not take up to 15 seconds to open

@Kudos4u, it will work if the decoder has conax smart card reader, but u must activated the card with any strong HD reciever before before putting it on Qsat, i have done it with Qsat q11g and it worked.

@Emmachile, its not yet over, i downloaded the codec from the link u provided and installed it, its still remain the same, not playing .TSV file recorded on my vinsat xv9800, but when i reord on my srt 4922A every thing does play normal, pls if do have access to vinsat, try recording with to know how it goes, i suspect that the media file recorded on this device is encrypt, what do u think?

@Emmachile, i have that version of media player in my laptop, it plays but no video display and no audio, it was just counting the seconds of playing status, pls can u do me a favour by recording with either vinsat xv9800 or dsat dx9800 to see the outcome and feed me back, its really give me headeache.

I used the Klite codec pack Emmaachile mentioned and was able to play TSV file recorded on QSAT using Windows Media Player version 9 and saved the file under windows media player with .AVI extension.

@Microgiant, we are getting closer to solve this problem, let me ask u, did u tweak the configuration of the codec pack or did u installed it and thats all?, which window operating system are u using?, cos am using window 8.1, pls throw more light on how u did it?

Vlc version is 2.2.4 Weatherwax on Windows 7 64bit. Right click on your .TSV file and choose play with vlc media player. You should record a small clip to try first.

@Etern, the file that u play with vlc media player, did u record it from which decoder, let me know, cos am using Vinsat xv9800.

I think your file has been encrypted to avoid abuse of copyright material when u record. Maybe instead of looking for help on how to play d file u should be searching for help on "how to decrypt or read files encrypted with ..." Cos I know vlc can play several types of media files including the type you're trying to play so if vlc can't player it's not a problem of file conversion but decryption. Good luck bro

@Preens, thanks very much, i think u are hitting nail on the point, let me ask does it mean that files recorded with Qsat, vinsat, Dsat and chinese deocoders are encrypt, that why the file is very difficult or impossible to open with computer,

how can i decrypt the file recorded on Vinsat, is there a special software for, that why i dont like device that is not friendly to me, how can the restrict me from managing my files any how i want?

What you are looking for is actually my hobby. Use VLC media player! Record a small clip in TSV container then play it in VLC. Then click media on VLC menu bar, then click convert / save. Larger files may result in an out of sync audio if you do not have a beefy PC.

@Emmachile, sorry for disturbing u, i have this very converter on my laptop but is not doing the job, pls can u record file with these said decoders and try to convert it, then tell me the tweak u used to doing it, cos i was unable to convert any of my file since i bought vinsat for sport 24.

@Emmachile, you have not given me solution to question, so none of the members in the forum have recorded any file on chinese decoders like Qsat, vinsat and Dsat and play it with computer or even convert it to another file format, if there is anyone pls show the steps.

You can play media files recorded by your PVR decoders using same decoders offline.
You have the play functions on the remote.

Rename it like this eg where xxxx is file name
xxxx.ts

thanks for ur prompt response, am using window 8.1, which converter should be the best if i change the name to .ts from .tsv, so that when i get back home i will try it, i have installed klite codec pack on my computer, also remember i recorded these said file on my Vinsat XV9800 with my flash drive, i will be so glad if am successful on it.

Here is the work around. On the computer edit the file name extension, changing it from .TSV to .TS
eg movie.tsv to movie.ts

Can be played on WMP for windows version lower than windows 10
Try to play it if you have Windows Media Player on versions of Windows xp to Windows 8 after installing a codec pack like klite codec pack http://filehippo.com/download_klite_codec_pack/tech/

For use in Windows 10
In Windows 10, Windows Media Player is not supported. But most video converter programs will handle .TS files (created from .TSV as described above) fine.

You can use Freemake Video Converter http://download.freemake.net/FreemakeOriginals2/Release/FreemakeVideoConverterFull.exe
to change them to other formats such as MPEG2 or mp4.

thanks @Emmachile, how do i change the name extension, is it to rename the file ordinarily cos if u do that, the name extension will still remain the same, is there any other way to change the .tsv to TS, more info pls.

@Odilibe, the master of chinese decoders, am having issues here to convert media files recorded on Vinsat XV9800 to other popular media format, since i left strong 4922A is been a nightmare for me to play my recorded file on my laptop, tried several converters none of them worked, i learnt that .tsv file is video file container containing encrypt file, save that decoder before i bomb the decoder lol......

@all the gurus in the house, have u tried converting .tsv media file recorded on any chinese decoders with that xilisoft converter, cos i have tried total video converter, airmersoft converter, the message i get is "the media file is not a standard media file or not supported"

First of all.why do you need to convert? If it's your phone you want to use to view the videos then get MX player. apk ,or if it's a computer then try MPC HC(321) or if you still need to convert then use Xillsoft video converter.......couldn't be long!!!!!

Remeber the file format is in .tsv, i have used different converters none of them work, neither open it nor convert it, but i will just trying the one u gave above
