flysat is more current than lyngsat

The beam of TP, our region falls under 38db which requires 1.2 to 1.6m dish to track the channel

Apstar 7 @76.5 has been there, just that it is tricky to get especially those using ground mount because of our horizon, that bird host some of the best entertainment channels, with 2.4m you are good to go, tracking tp 3920 h 28340, Happy hunting.
@Pryncipal, what of 1.8m dish in Abuja, can I use it to get it, am using pole mount

@Brian109, pls don't use 4950 decoder to track, it takes that decoder 1.5 sec. To detect signal, if you are not pentient enough you will pass the signal without knowing, use 4669,4922 or satfinder

I Have Been On My Dish Since Morning Trying To Track Afn Package But Without Success. Am Using Strong Srt4950 With This Frequency 11804 V 27500 But Am Only Getting StarTimes Channels, Am Using A 90cm Dish. Kindly Help
if it is dstv dish, it is possible, just make sure you are using strong short neck lnbf, cut off the mouth of the lnbf, make sure it's new one, first track 7e with 10.720 H 30.000, never move again to the right if you are at the back of the dish, on the position of 7e, bring your dish elavation down a bit, let your lnbf skew be on between 6 and 7,put the TP of 9e, move your dish a little bit to the left while at the back of the dish, when u follow the step above u will never get startimes again.

Zico4real:
I tried the signal on 1.8m, 11804 V 27500 was 75% on strong 4669x still 12.073 V 27500 did not pop out. Also I tried it on 2.4 motorised dish, 11804 V 27500 was 76% on strong 4922, 12073 V 27500 pop out, but not stable. After I blind scan strong 4922, I got many channels including sports showing free. I want to change the lnb to fuji, I will give more feedback later.
@Zico4real, I think your setup is not all that right, you got 75% on 1.8m dish and got 76% on 2.4m dish, I think your tripod on your 2.4m dish has fault or it is not straight, cos I believe with good setup and good lnb like short neck strong lnb on 1.8m dish will get 12.073 v 27.500, that your two setups one of them is not right or both, especially with that beam, I will try it may be Sunday or on Monday and report to the house with 1.8m dish.

@skygalaxy, Paulo, sunnene1,and others, let me reply your comments, the price of that satfinder in the market now is 33,000,to 35,000, it tracks all satelite signal be it mpeg2, mpeg4, HD, DVBS2 and others, but it can display mpeg2 videos, But the satfinder signal alarm and signal meter detect all signal, MODE OF SIGNAL DISPLAY: if you are tracking ku band, any signal you get on this Sat meter it will be +15% on a normal decoder, example: if you have 55% on the sat meter it will be 70% on 4922A decoder, the same apply to Cband satelite, but on sport 24HD if you get up to 15 to 19% it will be 50% on 4950H with latest software. REMEMBER: I have never failed to get any signal with this very satfinder. be caution they have different type of this kind of satfinder, just make sure it kpt-968G, if you need it contact me on this number 08069338224
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by graphicicon(m): 12:31am On Aug 02, 2017
The name KPT - 968G will written at bottom right of the satfinder, if it is not this version don't buy.

Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by graphicicon(m): 12:22am On Aug 02, 2017
The People that are finding it difficult to track nigcomsat are those people that are using decoder to track or those using all those latest satfinder, u better search KPT 968G satfinder you will never miss any satelite signal, there was a time I tracked ptv sport with 2.4m dish I got 15%, but when I plugged the cable to decoder no signal was detected, using a satfinder that will detect any level of satelite signal is very good for you to adjust your dish to get the actual signal, since I started tracking satelite I have never miss any satelite signal, if the size of the dish is not enough for the sat normal decoder won't detect any signal, if you need the picture of the satfinder I will post it here.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by graphicicon(m): 10:42pm On Jul 31, 2017
I don't know why people are finding it difficult to track nigcomsat, today I track nigcomsat for two clients and I did not spent up to five minutes in the sat for each client, step is track DSTV sat, and get the highest possible signal, tight the azimuth a bit, loose the elavation, put nigcomsat frequency begin to lower the elavation u must hit green on that TP, let your lnbf skew be on 9 0clock
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by graphicicon(m): 1:42am On Jul 31, 2017

However...The sat in question does not have ka band capacity...
@odilibe, I know, but how are they going to receive their internet service if they don't use ka band, since they are offering 20gig per subscription.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by graphicicon(m): 12:47am On Jul 18, 2017
7 days to go for the launch of TSTV, I can't wait to launch it in my house, I have already position my 60cm dish to abs 3 ready for the signal, but is like they are going to use dual lnb for that sat, I mean ku band lnbf and ka band lnbf combined together in one lnb

trewbless:
that is the real step, by that the nigcomsat lnb is below Dstv lnb and a little to the left, and from all indications the higher the satellite degree the lower the lnb position in the dish ,true or false more light to be throw on this, for more emphases thank.
thanks, my brother when it comes to lnb attachment on already installed dish, the reverse is the case, up becomes down, down becomes up, left becomes right and right becomes left, just use that illustration I posted earlier, you will bring down those three satellites and let the house know the outcome
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by graphicicon(m): 11:00am On Jul 05, 2017
I just need standalone digital compass, just like the one on android phone, that one I can attach it to the dish while I turn it, when I get to the desired direction it will display the degree, that's is the kind of compass I need, if you have it just contact me

jobbers:
guys.pls what is the best tp to track this nigcomsat.today again i spent hours effortlessly.

i used 12518 h 29500 and 11688 h 29495 and 12622 h 29500. none hit green.at times i get quality 79 strength 58 but no green .i get Dstv within seconds and moved dsh left up down to the 98e 42e .still no green. is this stubborn Satelite off again
@jobbers, get yourself a satfinder for tracking, that sat is somehow stubborn, it take some decoders 1.5s to detect signal on that TP, if you must agree with me, it take time for decoder to scan that TP, my satfinder detect any level signal be it 3% or lower, that why some people are finding it difficult to track nigcomsat, I have never spent more than 5mins tracking the sat, just track DSTV first, tight your dish, put nigcomsat TP 12.518 H 29.500, start bringing your dish down, when you hit maximum green, then move ur dish a little to the left while at the back of the dish to maximise the signal, that's all you need.
