The overall point here is, churches (especially Nigerian churches) have deviated from the message of proclaiming the kingdom of God by venturing into businesses.

Please don't let us fool ourselves, Churches in Nigeria are now big time business ventures. No NGO in the world dabble into profit making ventures.

For defenders comparing Deeper Life to Harvard, please is the source of funding for Harvard and Deeper Life the same? What is the use of tithes and offerings voluntarily given to the Church by parishioners? What benefit is it if you work hard for the church and your wards cannot attend any of the schools established by the church? Does it mean your children (because you are not capable to pay the fees) does not need the training to be received by the students who attends the schools?

Let's look at the points one by one;
1. Deeper Life was registered as a Not-for-profit organization.
2. The above mean that the organization will get her finances from voluntary contributions from well meaning partners and sponsors.
3. That the organization will not engage in any venture that is profit oriented.
4. The establishment of a school with such fees constitutes the venture as a business and against the codes of establishment.
5. Mission schools in the past (St. Saviours, Anglicans, Nawarudeen, Ebenezer etc schools) were established for free so as to build children with the fear of God. The missionaries used funds from donors to run the schools

It is true that everybody has an ugly side, am sure he has his too. He is one of the few persons in power which I respect. When the whole nation is against you and you still have no fear of intimidation to speak your mind, I think such person is worthy of respect.

This is what happens when you go extra miles to impress a lady during courtship. Its best to let your fiancée/ fiancé know your financial capability. Rushing into marriage is bad too, you never know some flaws in your partner.

Since you are married you can only handle this situation with patience and maturity. My advice is.. Cut down the allowance you give to her. You are the man so you have to act like one. Even when she complains tell her its all you could afford. But never spend what is left of the reduced allowance. Safe it.

Do this for some months, When the saved money is sufficient to get her something valuable that you know she needs... Get it for her with the money. Let her know it was bought from the money you saved.

She will be sober and see things from your angel. I.e the advantage of saving.

Marriage is an institution which has its wheels on maturity, patience and wisdom. You don't take drastic actions but correct with love.

First, you are not a patient man. 2nd, your insecurity is a threat to the stability of your family (if 100k could be so important to you than your family happiness). 3rd, you only said your own side of the story from the condemning angle of the lady which I don't buy.

In summary, if actually the lady has been like this you won't stay for 5years. Kindly check your attitude towards her and have a reasonable heart-to-heart talk with her. A good teacher and great mother is a good wife material. You just need to get your act together and be real instead of galivanting from one innocent chat to another.

Nope, you are the one getting it wrong, tithe was before the law because Abraham tithed, Jacob tithed. Jesus mentioned that tithing should also be practiced as well as the other ordinances of justice and fairness.

In Hebrews its stated that the men who die receive tithe here(referring to the priest here) but in heaven it is also received by Jesus. So when Christians pay their tithe here, it is also recorded and received in heaven.

Stop confusing and twisting scriptures to mislead folks.Scriptures is clear.Take it or leave it.

Please kindly quote the scripture that said Jesus receive tithe in heaven. Or where your tithe is recorded in heaven.
