How these folks get brainwashed and indoctrinated to a failed cause is something worth thwarting. Nothing as powerful as ideas. If you must spread one, make sure it's positive and if you must accept one, be sure it benefits humanity. |
Ever heard about the proverbial cow that has no tail? It is God that drives flies away for it. The COVID-19 era is a testament of how blessed Africa is on the flip side. As our human effort no reach - Oga at the top will complement. Las Las we go dey alright. |
Just passing by and struck by your frankness and eagerness. I'm open for friendship to walk you through the paths. Write me via greatchibueze@gmail.com if you care. Blessings! yungevvy: |
I think the focus should be more on improving those things that make you unique - not necessarily to fit into the status quo. As a medical student, your career life will eventually dominate other aspects of your life to a large extent. This means your fashion style, grooming et al are already determined par say. Work on just being original perhaps with panache. Write me via greatchibueze@gmail.com if you care for more detailed responses to your inquiry. Blessings! |
Bible interpretation must be contextual. In worship, you cannot remove the cultural essence of the people which in no way opposes holiness. This was one of the missionary errors committed by the Whites and caused more harm than good. Now we are adding to the confusion. Not every aspect of life including worship is spelt out in the Bible. Let no one box God. He's changeless, we are changing. |

Up north, this practice has grown from being a way of life to being a threat to life. Outlawing polygamy or instituting birth control is tantamount to toying with their fundamental human right to life/freedom of belief. To curb this menace, their religious and traditional leaders will be in the best position to do the job. Unfortunately, most of them including their elites are involved. Hence, the government as matter of urgency will have to consider effective means of population management. Anyway, PMB's regime multiplied hunger and added poverty, thereby causing wisdom to fall on some of them. Street begging in this era is no longer lucrative. |
Dear Travicon, I genuinely understand you plight and for someone who have been in your very shoes, I'm passionate about helping folks navigate the process of be nice and wise. I would be glad to share some e-books specifically on the "Nice guy" syndrome and loads of personal experiences as well. Write me @ greatchibueze@gmail.com. Blessings! |
Statements like this not only weaken but burn up the already fragile fabric of morality left in our society. First and foremost, every Nigerian/every pastor in Nigeria isn't hypocritical/sexual loose/porn obsessed as you presume. Is anyone righteous? NO! Are there people trying to walk in the paths of righteousness? YES! If publicly pointing out evil as evil is hypocrisy, then we ALL are hypocrites because as parents, children, students, leaders,or followers; we are often guilty of same issues we try to address. TRUTH must be spoken either ways. |
Makes sense |
Charity they say begins at home. I thought we should look inwards in times like this rather than pointing specks in the eyes of renowned 'mega churches' and listing what they ought to and ought not to do. If you belong to any community of faith as a Christian not a church goer, let's evaluate our spiritual state and that of our local churches through this. It may not be ideal but we have to begin from somewhere. 1. Have you made/received calls to/from your local church pastor/fellow members to know the state of well being and survival during this lockdown? 2. Have you or your local church reached out to people within your church/immediate community in cash/kind during this lockdown? 3. Have you or your local church been obedient/rebllious towards government directives in times like this? 4. Have you or your local church been active in speaking up against injustice pepetrated by authorities in times like this? 5. Have you or your local church been consistent in praying for the world in times like this? I've done mine and observed some lapses to be improved on. The Church is not merely in words and prayers but ACTION. Kindly do yours. |

attackgat:I think that statement is irrelevant. Let's be sincere, if this man was to be in Nigeria, he won't probably get to this level. I rather live in a foreign, boost it's economy as I enrich myself than die in my native land(Nigeria)trying to develop or make a better place a nation that keeps rejecting it's own...... Heaven helps those that help themselves. Moreover, the definition of patriotism isn't limited to an individual's nationality. |
