Breaking news from Orisun fm @ 6:30am today--
According to ASUU-OAU Chairman, OAU teaching staff have started their break since 6th April and will end on 15th June, 2016. This is in contrast with the earlier release by the management to resume on April 24.

the news is true, but their leave is yet to be confirmed by the senate. ASUU just went to the media to announce in other to outsmart the school management. Although, the school management still insists on 24th of this month as resumption for freshers. So, wait and hear from the senate, they have the final say. Probably, 17th of this month, there should be an info from senate as regards resumption.

It will be considerable if the proposed 56 days leave by ASUU should be postponed till 2016/2017 session. If indeed ASUU is a sister union to the student's union and they desire stable academic calendar of the institution, then they should be patient till January next year for their leave

resume so soon u said?, so if we resume today its too soon? While other schools are in their second semester, by July, some school will be rounding up their second semester, u sat there and spew such word that we are desperate to resume first semester. Pls say somtin better

As one of the campus journalist, I went to the Division of Students Affairs today,discussed with a man there and made enquiries about a lot.. 1.Resumption Date He said they are still deliberating seriously on it at the level of senate. The VC wants to cancel the 56 days leave whereas ASUU wants the leave..However he added that there is a high probability ASUU wins or the 56days leave reduced.. 2.Opening of E-portal for Payments. He said that can be done at any time possibly next week & also added that the main thing is for the freshers to be ready with their fees as the fees with be the same with that of last year except for college of health sciences which everyone is skeptical of.. #copied

2016/2017 academic session beings January hopefully. Your o level result will only be needed during screening after u've been admitted around January ending. So u can still obtain an o level exam or probably GCE. Just ensure u have the required subjects before the screening period

100 questions, but the number varies per subject(e.g math :27, eng : 23, phy: 26, chm : 24)..... Time given is 1 hr, 15 mins

durring ur screening, ur o level print out will be required not the certificate, there is no date of birth on the print out.. So it wont affect ur admission

virtually all courses in faculty of science and some science courses in falculty of education(botany, biochem, micro bio, zoology) check oau website for more details on science courses available

oau food science and tech is in faculty of technology, maths, phy, chem, eng will be ur utme combination and ur o level requirement....in some other universities, food science is in faculty of science, there u can make use of biology

inasmuch u score above 200, irrespective of the course u opted for, u qualified to write post ume, but u most score minimum of 200 for u to be considered for admission

I chose nursing as my course of study and i scored 203 i don't know if i should change my course now or change it after the post utme if i can't meet the cut off mark for nursing.

considering the cut off mark for nursing last year, ur score is low, u will need to score minimum of 300 in ur post ume to meet up.

nursing was 256. mind u, the cut-off mark myt increase or reduce base on the general performance of aspirants. So dont depend solely on cut off marks, but put in ur best that u may meet any cut off that shall be given. 249 is fair, put in more effort in ur post ume.

the cut off mark for biochem was 237, ur score is not bad, just put more effort in ur pume

I do not think these new sets of aspirants are going to go through all those shii we've gone through, cos in the oau calender, they made it known to all that duh 2016/2017 set will resume January...I think That's quite okay, for em to apply.

the resumption date for the 2015/2016 session initially was jan 9, later changed to feb 15, and to march 27, now April 24.. I pray for stable calendar this time around
