And about hazard leaving, Chelsea would not have signed, Havertz, Timo, Ziyech and Chilwell if hazard didn't leave. They used his money and that of Morata to sign those players. They would have still been telling Tuchel to manage Alonso. Just like Conte that Alonso was signed for, subsequent managers have finally always placed Alonso where he belongs despite his goals that he always uses to deceive some people.

Conte became popular is being dumped out of UCL group stages. Heck, someone even questioned using 3 at the back as being counter productive against big teams, hence UCL failures.

A bad coach will always impress people on short term basis. The good ones show longevity and consistency.

Honestly, some of their big matches that I watched this season was just the same thing. He no longer pushes his team too forward with pressing thereby leaving his behind exposed. His team used to rush out with every player mounting much pressure to get the ball back thereby leaving them exposed when playing against any side that is disciplined with the ball and counter. Now, they more Conservative in big matches especially.

You will notice that their both goals yesterday were from quick breaks that were very direct. This is unlike when pep was known for swarming his opponents with attackers in their half and overwhelming them with attack upon attack, and only had the opponent needing to soak the pressure and counter swiftly with disciplined passing and finishing to win them.

I first noticed this in their second leg match against Liverpool this season, when Liverpool were the ones passing around while man City bid their time to hurt them on the break. They now more dynamic.

Chelsea stand a better chance of winning man city in the finals than real Madrid.......the only edge real Madrid has is her history, which plays an important factor in UCL on most occasions. otherwise,zidane no fit stand pep Guardiola.

Other minor factor is hazard,pep Guardiola has never been able to tame him at his very best.

on a very good day, zidane has nothing on pep. Zidane has proven to know anything tactically.
