I have not been watching City for a long time now. So, I decided to try and watch the live - city match, to my surprise, I saw Liverpool playing and pressing like a typical pep team, and Man City playing like a Mourinho team for the short time I watched the first half. I couldn't believe my eyes.
I just checked possession stat just for me to see that pool had more of the ball than city.

My people, can you tell me what is going on? Is that how city has been playing this season?

That was the game RLC copped a major injury. That's added to poor results in the season and they didn't like his smoking image etc

Sarri even told them to sack him now since he was threatened with the sack if he does not win Europa League. Chelsea were so happy to receive £5m from Juve for someone they were about to payoff. You think Roman will let someone he wants to keep go for £5m?

Both parties just knew that they would still part ways either before the new season ends or at the end of the season as has always been the norm, so Roman must have felt that it was a nice business opportunity to take the money at this time, and Sarri also saw a good deal for himself. It was a win-win for both parties.

Talking about letting him go, could Roman stop him from going even if he wanted to? I doubt that.


In all, records have it that he was not sacked. It is simple.

Just like for every Chelsea manager, talks of sack is always in the media when things are not going very well, but with winning Europa and qualifying for ucl, you will have to do more convincing for me to believe that the board was considering to sack him.

Yes, he knew that Chelsea don't waste time to sack, and he was not convinced that he could win anything better than he already won, so he took a new and, in his own understanding, a more secured job. This is what I feel.

We were told we wanted someone much closer to us, someone who genuinely cared for the club, who was one of us, someone who will believe in our youth. Then why not stick with him till the end of the season at least and give him that benefit of doubt?

Now, no13 would come and also make his own list of players to fit his pattern and once again, we would be left with good players who are just incompatible or don't fit the manager's ideology. And we would turn on the manager and the players. And the cycle will continue going around.

SUCH A DYSFUNCTIONAL CLUB.

For the records though, Chelsea didn't sack Sarri. He left on his own. Juventus offered him a better deal and he took it.

For me, I don't know what to say now. I got a job at a big multinational company with great pay just a week before lockdown but I can't start until the end of the pandemic. The pandemic ended and the company started negotiation with me again but all of a sudden, they stopped and I haven't heard from them till date. They didn't tell me if the offer is still valid or not. If it becomes invalid then that will be the third time I will be getting offer in my life and all of a sudden it would be withdrawn. Don't know if it spiritual or something else. The first and second company that I experience such with were also big multinational companies
