obainojazz:he is busy fighting for the local trophies. |
Greatihex:when i said this some people called it blasphemy and some others laughed. Well, 1 match winning can make them champions. |
Tottenham and Arsenal have been known to not be able to score that 1 goal. Can they continue to surprise us? |
chic2pimp:i will not be surprised if klopp lose to them. The man village people dey serious for em matter. On a second thought, klopp may win them if he does what Mourinho did to them few years ago in Europa |
raumdeuter:how did Ronaldo do the bold? |
krattoss:we can trust nihilist as boardman. Him no dey disappoint |
This kind of comeback, this kind of emotion is what we have been waiting for from pep all this years, but no he continues to disappoint.. Football fans all over the world are happy for liverpool now. Can pep ever give us this kind of emotion? The man has never won as an underdog |
"I didn’t expect it, I said impossible is nothing, I said if it’s possible, Anfield is one of the places to make the impossible be possible," Mourinho told beIN SPORTS . "But I have to say that for me, this remontada has one name – Jurgen. "I think this is not about tactics, this is not about philosophy, this is about heart and soul, and a fantastic empathy he created with this group of players. "They had the risk of finishing a fantastic season without anything to celebrate, and now they are one step from being European champions." Liverpool will face either Ajax or Tottenham in the Champions League final, and their progression was made all the more stunning by the fact that two members of their vaunted attacking trio, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, were missing through injury on Tuesday. "I think Jurgen deserves, you know, the work they are doing in Liverpool is fantastic," Mourinho continued. "But I think this is about him, this is a reflection of his personality, don't give up, a fighting spirit, every player giving everything. "He’s not crying because he’s missing a player, he’s not crying because they are playing 50 or 60 matches per season. "Other coaches in other leagues they are crying, saying their players are playing too many matches when they play 30 or 35 matches. "Everything I think today is about Jurgen’s mentality." |
popizaino:yes. No matter what. |
Unlimited22:e be like say you no follow us dey this buhari country. Come imo come see where graduates dey rush dey apply for 10k teaching job. |
popizaino:don't forget, you also need to believe |
Unlimited22:yeah. We won't know. But even the other goat [Ronaldo] missed a penalty in a shootout in a semi final that caused his team to crash out before he won his second ucl. He even missed in the final against Chelsea and Terry saved his blushes. So you see, all of them are humans. The just have great quality that many times are backed with luck. Even though fortune favours the brave |
A40:lol Forget that thing. What i am trying to point out is that, for me, when i rate a player, i don't do it from watching the player for just 1 season , i rate a player after i must have watched the player for like 3 seasons and above judging from the player's ability. Once i rate the player, even a full season of poor performance from that player would not change my opinion about him. |
A40:how would we know if messi wouldn’t have scored a penalty tonight if it had come his way? |
Ibime:lol I know say na wetin you go talk. Just agree to the bet abeg, guy men need money. |
NinjaMetahuman:oga ibime is an honourable man. Em no dey waste time to pay. ![]() Oga ibime, make we bet, hazard go score more goals for Madrid pass the one em score for Chelsea |
The event of tonight is another proof that football is a team sports. What liverpool did is the way a functional team works. Even without the best players, the replacement players who have been working in the system slotted in well and helped the team to win. No one player can win a match. Messi as good as he is could not do any magic tonight because he is only but 1 player. But, some people have been expecting one player to do magic for Chelsea to win CL. |
A40:cr7 would have nearly been part of one last season until penalty came his way. |
sod09:don't be surprise he will lose it. If he can lose to sevilla after coming back against dortmund, then he can lose this one. |
Respect to Chelsea. This is neither barca or pool thread, but see gathering. We lead others follow
|
Klopp has always been my favorite manager because of the way he builds his team only that his near success syndrome is the only problem i have with him. Completing what he started has always been a problem. |
If by mistake barca no qualify, dem suppose flog all of them with koboko from coaching staff to players. |
Aldridge has no issue with a frontman revelling in the emotion of hitting the net but feels a man with strong ties to Liverpool should have shown more respect in other areas of his game . The ex-Reds star told the Irish Independent : "Suarez behaved like a rat in the Champions League semi-final against Liverpool and it was out of order. "I don’t have any problem with him celebrating his goal against Liverpool. Just because he used to wear a red shirt, it doesn’t mean he has to pretend he is not excited to score a great goal in a massive Champions League game. "What was not acceptable was his antics on and off the ball, as he got into the faces of Liverpool players, fell over any time anyone went near him and tried to get his opponents booked at every opportunity. "He was sneaky, he was nasty and he was everything people used to tell us Suarez was when everyone at Liverpool was trying to defend him. "We know this is a guy who would run over his granny to score a goal, but everyone should have some respect for those who have been good to you in the past, but Suarez threw the support Liverpool gave him back in our faces." Aldridge feels Jurgen Klopp’s side should now be looking to exact some form of revenge on Suarez when he returns to Merseyside on Tuesday. He feels the fiery South American could be pushed to breaking point by Liverpool as they seek to complete the most remarkable of turnarounds on home soil and book a final berth . "If I was in that Liverpool dressing room, I’d hatch a plan to wind him up and get him sent off," added Aldridge. "We know he has a short fuse and can lose it if he is pushed to the limits, so play him at his own game and try and get him rattled. Let’s see how he likes it when the Liverpool fans and the Anfield crowd turn against him. "That might be the best chance Liverpool have got to come back into the tie because at 3-0 down, it looks like a long way back for Jurgen Klopp’s side." ![]() |
Kompany, who hadn't scored a goal yet this campaign, says that he is frequently told not to shoot from those scenarios but, given the moment, the City captain knew it was his time to step up. "Desire, belief. It's like you said, I didn't score this season, but I always feel in big moments like this that I'm going to do something," he told Sky Sports . "I don't know whether it'll be a header or what it'll be. Anything. "Today there was a little bit of frustration because everyone was saying 'don't shoot, don't shoot!' - I could really hear it. "It was annoying me and I said: 'hold on a second' – I haven't come this far in my career for young players to tell me whether I can take a shot or not. So I just took it! "All I'm going to say is I've scored goals like that in training. "You know what? It's a funny story because it's 15 years of top-level football and I always hear midfielders saying 'don't shoot, play the ball wide' – for 15 years! "I said to them: 'One of these days I'm going to have a shot from outside the box and I'm going to score a goal and you're going to be really happy with that one'. And today it happened. "It's a big goal. We haven't achieved anything but it was an important goal against a very, very strong team." With Kompany's goal, a Manchester City win on Sunday against Brighton will be enough to secure the team's second consecutive Premier Leauge title. Any dropped points, though, open the door for Liverpool, who take on Wolves in their final match. |
Ibime:that is why we need that ban. Then people like higuain should be chased out of the club |
