You just posted picture of a cow and told the price in Adamawa without proof? Sounds like APC propaganda. That cow is close to 2 million or more in southern Nigeria. That cow use to cost no more than 300-400k in southern Nigeria,a few years back. The increase in price of transportation is a big factor affecting the sudden rise in the cost of foods including cow meat (beef). |

Politics › Re: Why Is It So Hard To Just Live In Peace In This Country? by greenermodels: 2:44pm On Jun 02, 2025 |
SoulWriter: Sometimes I sit and ask myself: is it supposed to be this hard just to live a normal life in Nigeria?
We're not even asking for luxury. Just peace. A steady job. Electricity that works. Security on the roads. Food that’s affordable. But somehow, even the most basic things feel like a fight.
You go to the market today and prices have changed overnight. Fuel scarcity one week, power outage the next. Then you hear news of people being kidnapped, or another protest being shut down. And in the midst of all this, you're still expected to "hustle hard" and keep your head up.
It's exhausting.
This is not even about politics anymore. It's about the fact that many of us are just tired. Mentally, physically, emotionally drained.
We’re still trying — going to work, looking for side gigs, sending airtime to parents, caring for siblings, applying for jobs abroad, praying at night — but it feels like we’re carrying a country on our backs.
I’m not here to rant. I just wanted to say if you’re feeling tired, you’re not alone. There are so many of us who feel the same way but stay quiet because we don’t want to sound ungrateful.
But let’s be honest — we deserve better. This is not what living should feel like. because Nigerians choose their leaders based on tribe and religion instead of competency. We also steal other people's turn to lead just out of blind support based on tribe and religion. You can't have sustainable peace without justice. |

ogbongenet: Good afternoon my fellow nairalander most especially the like minds from the great Agricultural section, we are the best because we feed other sections,na we be their father. Now, let’s look into pepper farming and the benefit of starting it as a business. In the process of researching business opportunities in Nigeria, I have discovered that no one has any good reason to be poor. If you are poor, it’s either because you want to or you’ve not been properly informed. There are many things you could pick up today and walk yourself up there within the next three years. One of them is pepper farming. I'm starting my pepper farming now wish I promise to share all my activities here for correction, learning and encouragement from everyone. My goal is to generate at least 30k twice a week from my investment twice on a week.... We shall see if it's possible or not, may God help me. I'm planting herbanero pepper (Rodo) and jalapeno (bawa) Got my hybrid seeds from technism, Avenir f1 and forever f1 variety . I have done the nursery by broadcasting it sorry if I'm asking a question that have already been answered before, from your practical experience, what's the best planting distance for tomatoes, pepper, okra, cucumber and garden eggs? |

okoroemeka: for sometime now we have been thinking how best to utilize the space that is left open in a pepper farm for more than 80 days before the pepper foliage covers the space,we did a small test with watermelon and it proved to be perfect,we harvested the first batch melon in 65 days, not only does it utilize the space to maximize production it also uses effectively the manure and fertilizer applied to the pepper, hot pepper been a low/medium feeder at vegetative stage uses less nutrients and the rest are washed down beyond the root zone., furthermore we discovered that pruning watermelon to one single vine and one fruit per crop gives a very large fruit that is sold from #2k upwards and that is what makes the space utilization possible We scaled up to 2000 hot pepper and 2000 watermelon in the same land, growing and fruiting in perfect unity. guy, you're really good in agriculture. |
