Bobby Brown gave concert goers in Dallas an update on Bobbi Kristina’s health status, and he says that she’s awake nearly three months after being found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub.

However, Brown also said, “She’s watching me,” which could indicate that his daughter, the only child of the late Whitney Houston, isn’t out of the clear yet.

“We’ve moved her to a place for rehabilitation,” Bobbi Kristina’s 81-year-old grandmother, Cissy Houston, told New York radio station WBLS 107.5 FM on March 25 about the undisclosed facility.

Italian police said yesterday that twelve Nigerian and Ghanaian migrants were thrown overboard following a fight concerning their Christian religion. The police said 15 African Muslim migrants have arrested over the incident. .

The victims were “of Christian faith, compared to their attackers who were of Muslim faith,” police said in a statement, saying the 15 people arrested were accused of “multiple aggravated murders motivated by religious hate”.

The incident aboard the rubber dinghy, which was carrying about 100 migrants, took place in the Strait of Sicily, between Tunisia and Italy.

According to a group of Nigerian and Ghanaian survivors, a fight broke out over religion, with a group of Muslim passengers threatening the Nigerians and Ghanaians after the latter – who were in the minority – declared themselves to be Christians.

About eight days after abducting three children belong to a couple, luck has run out of devious nanny, Mary Akinloye who kidnapped them.

Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Kayode Aderanti said the police have arrested the 23-year-old nanny, who kidnapped three children in the Surulere area of Lagos State.

Aderanti spoke on Thursday morning on a live Channels TV programme, Sunrise Daily but it was not clear if her accomplices were also nabbed.

The kids were reportedly found in a bag where they were dumped by their abductors in Shasha area of Lagos.

There was a mild drama in a Kano metropolis when a chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in allegedly abandoned his agbada and jumped a fence, while evading arrest over electoral offences.

The politician (names withheld) has now been declared wanted alongside him four others for electoral offences during the governorship and House of Assembly elections.

Narrating the encounter, the Police Commissioner, Ibrahim Idris, said the suspect, is a close associate of a minister, was implicated by 14 suspects arrested by security agents for the destruction of sensitive electoral materials at Kauran Mata, Madobi Local Government Area of the state.

He disclosed that when security agents stormed the suspect’s residence to effect his arrest, he jumped a fence and escaped into the bush, abandoning his flowing gown, agbada.

Contrary to rumours, veteran actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo, RMD, has stated that he has not defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Peoples Congress (APC).
The rumour was sparked when the twitter handle of the APC Guber candidate in Delta State, O’tega Emerhor claimed RMD had left the PDP for APC.

The Mavin Records artiste was a special guest at the three services of the Lekki branch of the dynamic church under the leadership of its youthful shepherd, Pastor Bolaji Idowu.

With back-up vocals from the praise team, Korede Bello thrilled the youthful church audience with a live performance of his popular anthem, God Win. For a moment, his brief performance sent the auditorium into frenzy.

As he recently turned the age of 73, Juju maestro, Ebenezer Obey has been reflecting on his illustrious career.

Obey clocked the ripe age on Friday April 3 and celebrated it privately with his church members and a few family friends.

When asked about how he conceptualize his songs, the veteran singer disclosed that his best songs in the quietude of the toilet.

“As I said, it is the gift of God. I value my quietness so much and the best times that I get inspiration is when I’m in the toilet. That is the time that I’m left alone free of phone calls, visits by people and friends and all engagement. It is at this time that I compose my songs. That is when I get inspiration the most to write songs and now get into my studio to record them. That is why my best moment is when I am left alone and left to ponder and meditate on God’s word. INEC has released the official result of the Presidential Election. INEC has declared that I gained the most votes with the required spread and won this election. In a more profound way, it is you, Nigerians that have won. The people have shown their love for our nation and their believe in democracy. The declaration of INEC accurately reflects the will of the people.



While there might have been some logistical obstacles and irregularities associated with the exercise, the result shall stand as what the people want. I thank all Nigerians who have made this day possible, our country has now joined the community of nations that have used the ballot box to physically change an incumbent president in a free and fair election To me, this is indeed historic. Most people will welcome the result because it is the one they voted for. Others will literarily be disappointed. I ask that we all be circumspect, respectful and peaceful in these times. This was a hard-fought contest. Emotions were high.



We must not allow them to get the better of us. This is not the time for confrontation. This is a moment that we must begin to heal the wounds and work toward a better future. We do this first by extending a hand of friendship and conciliation across the political divide. We hope and pray our friends in other parties reciprocate. I thank all the members of the All Progressives Congress, the APC, for their commitment and their hard work through the formation of the party, the campaigns and the presidential elections. Let me equally express my appreciation to the media, civil society and security agencies for their selfless service.



The international press and our friends abroad deserve a fair commendation for their support throughout the process. We promise a robust and dynamic engagement with your countries in matters of mutual interest. In the interim, I call on all Nigerians to be law abiding and peaceful. The eyes of the world were focused on us to see if we can vote in a peaceful way and carry out elections in an orderly manner. We have proven to the world that we are a people who have embraced democracy and a people who seek a government by, for and for the people.



We have put one party state behind us. We have voted for a government that will serve and govern, but will never rule over you. CHANGE has come and a new day and a new Nigeria is upon us. The victory is yours and the glory is that of our nation, NIGERIA. I will make a more formal address to the nation, later in the afternoon after I receive the certificate of return from the INEC.

Nigeria’s President Elect

Muhammadu Buhari

Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria’s president-elect, has been issued a Certificate of Return by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The chairman of INEC, Attahiru Jega, handed the certificate to Mr. Buhari, and the vice president-elect, Yemi Osinbajo, on Wednesday.

Mr. Buhari defeated President Goodluck Jonathan in the presidential election held Saturday.

Speaking after receiving the certificate, Mr. Buhari said “Change has finally come” to Nigeria.

He said Nigeria’s “long night has passed”.

Veteran actress Ngozi Nwosu has also voiced out her fears on the tension which has was raised by the on going collation of results.

Aunty Peace as she is fondly called by her closed friends pleaded with Nigerians to shun violence for the sake of our lives.

She penned down her sincere advice.

IF deadliest civil WAR breaks out, all of us ranting here APC and PDP, you and i will be refugees in Benin Republic and other countries if we survive it. Note that the elites you are fighting for on social media will survive with their families, and they will still sit at a peace accord meeting somewhere in Ghana, South Africa or the U.N to still decide your fate and fly back their families with their private jets to continue using those who survived. If i may ask where are their children? they are all abroad in safe keeping. Nigerian youths listen and listen good, we have only one Nigeria, what the RADIO did to Rwanda is what SOCIAL MEDIA IS DOING TO NIGERIA NOW. WE are all pushing NIGERIA TO WAR, there will be no winners or losers! Nigerians, you and i will lose at last. IT’S A NEW ROAD…

With all sense of responsibility and with no remorse or regrets, I accept the reality which my calculations in the past couple of hours have showed me.

General Buhari will be the President – Elect of Nigeria.

Our democracy has won and President Jonathan, commendably, has furthered that institution by allowing the will of the people through their votes.

This loss of the person I canvassed for, without any coercion except my personal convictions, does not in anyway make me less the person I am because of my political views. Neither does it make you too. It’s only those who go the route of making a vindictive issue out of whom one voted and why one should be castigated for that, that are the small minds in a large progressive crowd.

The past few months have been tasking but we kept the faith. We fought a good fight.

Now is the time for us to help in moving Nigeria forward the way the winner has outlined in his program.

The Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party, Chief Olisa Metuh has reacted to the outburst of their party agent Elder Godsday Orubebe at the collation center this morning.

Speaking to Channels News, he stated that the party had directed all its agents to conduct themselves with decency.

“In a democratic process, we must follow democratic channels. Yesterday we questioned the opposition party about certain things they had done to challenge states. We expect our members to follow the same process as well. This party has a tradition of decency and will follow democratic channels to lay complaints. Ours is to protest and make our voices heard through recognized channels and wait for democratic process to be followed. We directed our members that everyone should conduct himself within democratic norms and principles. That is all we have to say about that,” he said.
