Orikinla, On the basis of which ethic? |
What is wrong about it? I am getting sick of people taking their gospel from the media and politically correct organizations that condemns anything that they don't like for one gain or another. Since Mary mother of Jesus was pregnant at 13 years old, they may one day start claiming that God is a pedophile. If a girl comes of age and want to date a man and not another woman, should we not rejoice that she's taking that route instead of the lesbian path. @ Poster If you love the man go ahead and date him. Don't suppress your love because of what somebody said or not. After-all love is sweet and you will never be fulfilled until you love someone and hopefully the person love you back. |
It's Fine I believe. I think everyone is free to date whomever they like as long as the relationship is consensual. For muslims, we have several examples from the time of the Prophet where most of the Sahabas (disciples) marry the daughters of their friends. The Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) gave his daughter Fatimah in marriage to Ali and Abdullah gave his daughter, Aisha to the Prophet as well. If you are doing it for love, that's excellent. If it's for money, it's okay if you have some love for him, but for other things I don't know except you want to elaborate further on that. |
Damysa, Another thing both you need to be careful about is "out of sync" attitude. What this mean is that when one of you is trying to be romantic and all playful, the other turns cold. Your husband may be thinking that you are becoming nice all of a sudden and may be doubting your sincerity as he normally claimed that you are pretending. If you notice this behavior while following all the advice given to you by everyone here, especially Analytical, call your husband to order and let him know that both of you need to move forward and put the past behind you. You also need to do the talking in an humble manner, for otherwise you will justify his doubt. Let him know about the good times you've had together and that both of you share the blame for the marriage problem. Admit your own mistakes and tell him to look deeper within himself as well. I believe you will be fine together. Concerning the generational problem with your husband's family, I think if you study the bible as a christian, you will know that it is not right to hold the sin of the father against the son. This may be your own burden and a trial from God. Work hand in hand to make your own marriage a better example for others. Good luck and God bless. |
