Olunmercy56:I would like to know what bukatyn has to say about this. Should a husband focus more on work or romance if family is financially average. I found bukatyn words very pragmatic and my personal experience has been torn between how to balance work demand with fulfilling romantic need. |
It looks like this is in South Africa, why are you advertising it here in Nigeria? |
Has anyone use this tractor on the go service before? Please let us know your experience with their service. |
Price? Where to buy? Who is the maker? |
How do we explain the fact that the people whom Allah is pleased with in Quran 18:18 owns a dog. The dog was actually describe as sleeping at the entrance of the cave where they took refuge. What changes? Quran 18:18 And you would think them awake, while they were asleep. And We turned them to the right and to the left, while their dog stretched his forelegs at the entrance. If you had looked at them, you would have turned from them in flight and been filled by them with terror. |
A lot of people advise that you stay in your job but came short of why you should. From your story, you will need to ask yourself some few questions. Have you developed the requisite discipline to manage a business on your own? If you have not manage your current work and finances very well, don't think you will wake up one day and magically do it. You will be in for a pleasant surprise. Do you have the necessary cushion to absorb any shock in case of a disaster to your farms? The disaster could be flood, fulani herdmen lunching on your tomatos and theft among many things that can rear it's head. Have you prepared for the test you will get from your wife? Women are different, but trust me they share some common traits. One of this trait is to test their man ability to sustain a family. The moment she knows you are out of job, expect a lot of demand that will make you think "Why are all these demands coming now that I am out of work". Trust me, she will test your limit. Are you ready? If disaster hit the family, you will be on your own. If you are working, at least you are able to fall back to someone for help in loans or something. No one will like to borrow you anything if all you have is your new business that could go bunk anytime, but if they know you work and earn 10K Naira monthly, they can have something to hold on to. There is time for standing on your own, for now work and pay your dues and all your labour will never be in vain. Patience. |
teddyope31:I will give you the breakdown for Maize. Per Hectare Land clearing 60,000 Naira Mulching. 50,000 Naira Ploughing. 15,000 Naira Harrowing. 15,000 Naira Planting. 5,000 Naira Seeds. 66,000 Naira (Pioneer) Herbicides. 50,000 Naira Herbicide application 5,000 Naira x 2 Insecticide 75,000 Naira Insecticide application 5,000 Naira x 3 Fertilizer 80,000 Naira Fertilizer application 5,000 Naira x 2 Fungicides 50,000 Naira Fungicide application 5000 Naira x 2 Field Scouting 2,500 Naira x 4 Total Cost 521,000 Naira Note that in year two, cost of clearing and mulching will be zero. Expected yield 8-12 tons per hectare. Price of Maize per ton = 120,000 Projected Revenue. = 960,000 - 1,440,000 Naira. Minimum cultivation = 100 hectares Note that the yield is not guaranteed , but with best agronomical practice and the grace of the good Lord, it is certainly possible. You can only get such yield with a Pioneer seeds and not any Oba Super million! in the market. The breakdown is only useful if you want to put in your money without owning any equipments. Alternatively, if you are only investing the land, then the cost to us will be different and we are going to have a minimum of 10 years agreement, bring our own equipments to station on the farm permanently and build a farm house and silos. The cost implications for this model is far more than just the operational expenses listed above. |
TokyoBulls:You are comparing your 63 acres vs 390 acres she's trying to cultivate. I think 120 million will get you somewhere, but not close. We are cultivating for Maize and trust me, pesticides for Army worms alone will set you back a whole lot. We have similar land area and our fertilizer budget alone is over 13 million Naira. Seeds cost close to 10 million Naira for Pioneer if you want to do anything meaningful. If she wants to do anything serious, GO BIG OR GO HOME. |
teddyope31:We don't deal in one hectare. We deal in hundreds of hectares. We are going to be moving heavy equipments around like dozers, tractor, boom sprayer and combine harvesters. What is your investment budget? Answer if your land is cleared or not. Land investment can be up to 10% if cleared. We inherited an uncleared land and it was about 3% of our total expenditure. So you and Tokyobull are in the right ballpark, with different in description. |
You may need to answer few questions before I can give you my sincere advice. (1) Is the land in question cleared of trees and brushes? Totally cleared or partly cleared? If partly, how many hectares? (2) Are you interested in a mechanized farming or just hiring laborers to do manual work, obviously 157 hectares of land will need mechanization of some sort. (3) Are you planning to buy your own equipments or wish to rent from others and pay for services? (4) Are you willing to go into partnership for cultivating the land? If the answer to question 3 and 4 is yes. Then we can surely consider offer of partnership or equipment rental. We are located in Iseyin and can arrange something. If you wish to operate a large mechanized farming with all necessary equipments and personnel, then prepare an upward of 500 million Naira at the minimum to get all the things you need from Tractors, Sprayers, harvesters, fertilizer, seeds, up to silos. |

Hello IBEJULEKIREALTO, We are planning to purchase 15 to 20 plots of land for a chemical factory close to Dangote Refinery. The land must share a fence/border with the refinery, close to the new Lekki port and accesible to the main road. Could you help make this happen or do we need to contact the Lagos State Government? Our land must be classified as Petrochemical/oil/Chemical industry section. Thanks you. |
Thank you for this write up. It brings good old memories of my time in secondary school in Ilorin. I was lamenting during the Rio olympic how Nigeria grass root sport development has gone down the drain. In 1986/87 I remember that the inter house sport in Mount Carmel College Ilorin was packed full of athletes who will later become national stars with Olapade as one. I still remember the following (1) Olapade Adeniken (C & S College Ilorin. I hope, I am right, I google it and sure I was!) (2) Baba Malik (Govt. High School Ilorin) (3) Obanze (Mount Carmel College Ilorin) (4) Ali Baba ( I am not sure if I get the name right) FGC Ilorin I remember the race for external Schools were 100 meters and 4 x 100 meters. All the 4 of them ran in the same race. I believe Olapade came first with obanze second and Baba Malik coming third. The inter house sport event use to be a good festive moment and a time we normally look forward to. Thousands of people thronged the Oloje campus of Mount Carmel college to watch the race, I remember the best time was like 10.02 seconds. The Olympic record then was help by Ben Johnson or Carl lewis at 9.86 seconds and we knew these guys were up to the task. You will not imagine that track and field was well established at the secondary school level with sports like short put, Javelin, long jump, high jump, pole vault, Disc, all relays (4 x 100m, 4 x 400m, 800m, 1500m and even marathon). We normally start with marathon and we usually start from Mount Carmel college School center and run upto govt. High School round about and back to Mount Carmel. Any MOCACO Alumni here to support me? (Set of 1984 - 1989). Mount Carmel had a very good Volleyball and basket ball team. Table tennis and long tennis were well establish. Oh my people ![]() There is an article by Henry Semilore on facebook here https://www.facebook.com/Kwara247/posts/276948825822436 that chronicle the golden era of sport in Kwara state. I was able to confirm 2 of the athletes on my list from his own. By the way I remember one of my senior at Mount Carmel with the name "Muyiwa Semilore" as the name Semilore rings a bell, but I am not sure if they are related (Muyiwa and Henry). The article simply sum up all what I needed to say and wish we could go back to the golden era. |
Is the OP no longer dealing in Cars from S. Korea? He has not updated this thread in over 4 weeks. Anybody with a finalized deal with him should please chime in and let us know if this is real as I need to purchase a vehicle soon. |
naptu2:It was another poster before you. He was the first to identify the source of the music line. |
naptu2:The particular line "Shake it don't break it, it took your mama nine months to make it" actually came up at around 2:24 minutes from brother Maquis in this video. The song actually came out around 1989 and not late 1990's. What is it with this Nigerian Musician stealing American rappers line and trying to lay claim of ownership? |
Could you please send me the cos to clear the following vehicles through Grimaldi Lagos 2007 Ford Edge 2008 Ford Edge 2009 Ford Edge 2011 Ford Edge 2012 Ford Edge I will work with any agent with reasonable cost as I need to decide my budget. |
Bookmarked! This got me interested. I know a lady that is 29 years old with a 3 year old daughter as well. I know the Father of the child in this case. It would be interesting to know the answer to some of the questions posed to OP earlier. (1) Is the lady in question fair in complexion? (2) Where does she lives? Some inquiring minds here want to know, so we may identified the said lady if possible. |
We Need a proper confirmation of the defeat of Gov. Saraki. My source from Ilorin just mentioned that they are still counting the vote but Dr. Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe of ACN is leading as I write. |
Leilana, Are you Iranian? Are you a muslim? Is your husband a muslim? What attracted you to your husband in the first place? If you answer these questions, then I would be glad to give you some advice. |

You are either too young and naive or your parents are rich. If it's the former, I believe you will grow up to smell the coffee. If it's the later, give it some time and you will realize that it's an innate make up of a woman to get some form of compensation for the "services" they render (as girlfriend or wife). Men desire women for cohabitation, children, cooking, sex and lots more. These "services" are considered by women as something that needs to be compensated. That is why I mentioned earlier that money is the King. |
^^ Na so den they talk. Money is not important. If another guy come flash money for your face you no go think 2wice? |
Although this thread was started 2 years ago, the OP is probably gone for good without saying the last secret. From experience, nothing beat CONFIDENCE. When I say confidence, I meant unshakable confidence backed by substance. The substance may include many things depending on the Woman perception. The following 5 tops everything. 1. MONEY 2. A BIG D.I.C.K 3. INTELLIGENCE 4. GOOD PHYSICAL SHAPE 5. POPULARITY/CHARISMA/GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR (1) Money is the KING, no need of any explanation. (2) Every woman and their grandmother will tell you that size doesn't matter, it does big time. 70% of women will not risk cheating on a guy with a big d.i.c.k who also know how to work it. (3) Intelligence? No woman can stand a dumb guy. (4) If you are in good shape, women still have their animal instinct of choosing someone with a good gene and nothing tells that better than being in good shape and carrying your body well (posture). Height is huge advantage in this regard. (5) Being popular and charismatic make you look like a leader and a dependable provider in the eyes of women. With a good sense of humor added. You are gold. If you got swagger, women can see your confidence from afar and would like to check you out. In general they would like to break you down and shatter your confidence, but if you got GAME, then you are good. These are just my opinion about this matter. |
Ujojoan, I don't know if I should call it ignorance or just pure bias and resentment. In any case, the bible stories are clear and straightforward and you don't need a rocket science degree to understand them. |
I completely understand that your focus is on adultery, but I felt that your rage against men as the cause of adultery is what bothers me. Both men and women are guilty of adultery. The statement you made can also be said of married women chasing after young and single boys/Men. If polygamy is a way out of adultery, then I am all for it. Remember that adultery by a man cannot be committed without a willing woman (single or married). In these days where women have more rights, freedom and continue to earn more money, most of them feel the need to do whatever they like, including adultery. I am not lumping all women together as bad since there are many good women out there, including the ones here on Nairaland. I am married to one wife and have no plans of practicing polygamy. However, I do leave my options open. If I would have to go down the path of adultery, then I would choose to be a polygamist instead. |
orikinla: You wrote; A man can marry and sleep with up to 20 wives, but a woman cannot dare it and escape from being called "You LovePeddler!". Men made laws that would keep women under them. So, single women, never be fooled and used by a married man to break the heart of his wife. It is a curse for you a woman to be used to destroy another woman. tt Anybody with an average intelligence would see through your objective that you are calling on single women to avoid polygamy so as not to destroy their fellow women. In other words, the subject is adultery, I agree with you, but you are blaming it on polygamy. Unfortunately, you are also blaming men for avoiding evil (adultery) through polygamy. It became clear to me where your grudges lies most. My original post elucidate why polygamy is indeed beneficial and not the scape goat you made it to be. |
You mentioned that Men stared polygamy to escape from adultery. If polygamy is a way of avoiding evil, my question is whether polygamy is good for single women or not. To make it clear, many God's own people, such as Abraham, Moses and David are polygamist and therefore God is in approval of polygamy. This is my question to you orikinla, Are you in approval of polygamy to avoid evil adultery? |
Orikinla, I am sorry that your words are not gospel and your rage against men starting polygamy is amusing to say the least. I am a living example of why polygamy not only works but beneficial. My father had 4 wives, one died and he took another one after that. Most of the help I got from moving up and becoming a successful person came from my brother who's from another wife, and not the ones whom we share the same mother. Our family bond is very strong and many of us grew up to be successful and very friendly. I don't get the demoralization of polygamy by the current day holier-than-thou feminist and their girly men. I am a muslim and the religion of Islam allows a man to have upto 4 wives, with the condition of treating all of them equally. I don't want to make this a religious issue, but my religion is fundermental to my way of life. I am not a saint, but hearing a muslim woman condemning polygamy has been the biggest turn off in my experience. If you don' believe part of a religion, then you have no business with it. In other words, you are an hypocrite. It is important that we do not question the wisdom of God. It's not surprising that in the current day and age where one man one wife is the most popular and fashionable thing to do, we now have more cases of adultery and fornication + divorce on levels that make the people of Sodom and Gomorrah look like saints. There are many instances of polygamy in the bible as well. So for the christian brothers, it's my hope that you have not imposed on yourself, what God did not impose on you. Jesus might say a lot of things in parables, but he never accuse Moses of adultery for having two wives. By the way, there are many cases of polygamy in the bible. If you so much hate polygamy and call it adultery, then learning and praising of Abraham, Moses and David who are polygamist may seems hypocritical to me. Polygamist in the bible; Source http://www.biblicalpolygamy.com/polygamists/ Abdon* Abijah Abraham Ahab Ahasuerus Ashur Belshazzar Benhadad Caleb David Eliphaz Elkanah Esau Ezra Gideon Heman* Hosea* Ibzan* Issachar** Jacob Jair* Jehoiachin Jehoram Jerahmeel Joash Lamech Machir Manasseh Mered Moses Nahor Rehoboam Saul Shaharaim Shimei* Simeon Solomon Terah* Zedekiah Ziba* |
@MzD@rkSkin Best response so far and more importantly coming from a woman's mouth. It can't get better than that. Cheating is Cheating irrespective of gender. However, a man can be cut a slack if he decide to marry the woman he's been cheating with, making him a polygamy. However, a cheating woman cannot marry the second husband and keep the first husband at the same time. It generally common in the society and the scriptures to read that a man have many wives, but it's an abomination for a woman to have many husbands at the same time. Just like the poster cited, an illegitimate child from a cheating wife is a far more detrimental consequence of a cheating woman. |
ZIM_DRILL, Mary's age was not mentioned in the bible, but most historical account pegged her age at between 12-14 years old. Mary was between 7-9 years old when she was committed to Joseph . You can google it and I am sure it is authentic enough by all accounts. Odunnu, You said; As a pretty young woman,my elder sounded it very well into my ears that there are 3 sets of men I must never date. . . 1. His friends 2. Married men 3. My boyfriend's friends/relatives. I can understand number 3, since having a boyfriend already eliminate other people from the picture, but what is the problem with dating your Father's friend? If your Father's friend is upright, good looking, responsible and loving, why would you turn him down? Why do you have to impose on yourself what God or the law of the land has not imposed on you? omega25red, You Said: i wouldn't care if my daughter dated a man my age as long as he isn't a friend of mine who probably knew or was there when my kid was born i would be so grossed out You seems to be putting things upside down. If you are responsible, I believe your friends too are. Since bird of the same feather flocks together. Perhaps, you have some control if your friend is the person in the picture. On the other hand, you have absolutely no control if your daughter is dating an asshole. Either way somebody will be checking out your daughter. It all depend on whether you like your daughter to date someone whom the family has some leverage upon or a random jackass. |

Most rich women are having sex with small boy or their domestic staffs. I don't want much riches, inasmuch we have a house and two cars of our own with some business, I'm okay
