Christianity EtcRe: If Christ Is The True Only Way To Heaven, What Of These People ?? ( Must Read) by Gsluv(m): 1:02am On Jun 01, 2015
Iamsynord:
The Bible says No one can reach the Father except through the Father and that unless A Man accepts Christ as his personal Christ and Saviour ,such a person shall not make heaven of have access to Eternal life ( John 3:16) .

My question is,What happened to the Likes of Abraham,David ,Solomon and all these before Christ was born?? What was the Criteria for their own salvation since Christ was not born at the time??
Were they saved By the Good works day did ?? If so,why Do we need Christ in d First place when The People that were born before Christ still made it to Heaven.??

A confused fellow here..Answers are needed pls ??
Here's the answer to your question, you need not be baffled.
1 Peter 3:18-21 Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit. So he went and preached to the spirits in prison— those who disobeyed God long ago when God waited patiently while Noah was building his boat. Only eight people were saved from drowning in that terrible flood. And that water is a picture of baptism, which now saves you, not by removing dirt from your body, but as a response to God from a clean conscience. It is effective because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

It's clear above that the death of Jesus was not just for those present then but also for those that had lived and died years before. His death was a perfect plan for eternal redemption. So obviously he also went to preach to the Spirits in prison and they all had a choice of accepting the gospel. Every man dead or alive before Christ also had a chance of accepting the redemption plan. Don't be surprised finding the likes of the Pharoah in heaven... So OP though they all lived by their works in those days, their criteria for salvation was still Christ as God already had a plan for them.

Anyway high or almost all the applicants only ask about jobs but none ask about academics...so one question the actual aim of the journey.

Actually the environment is calm and conducive for learning, but you might have to work and build yourself in the calm environment. There are necessary facilities sufficient enough for social science and arts-based students to carry on. You must not follow the trend cos Cyprus is one of the laziest island/country...so you wont allow yourself be lazy like the people.

I do not think you need equipments/devices to carry out research under social sciences like "supply chain and logistics (SCL)" ...what you need as far as I know is practical application of SCL, softwares and analytical tools. For software and analytical tools ..YES, these are made free under the university network and also the university subscribes to virtually all databases for academic index...so you can easily locate articles and e-books freely on the network.

Virtually almost all the teachers are professors and scholars but I dont know if they are expert in the said fields. The university currently is not at Harvard or Cambridge level, so they have normal scholars that might have studied in one of the best uni or average universities.

Yes yes yes..they offer incentives and Turkish Govt also offer incentives for all work done in TRNC...I wish I can upload some of my cheques but I cant...this part is the part many of the people dont take serious. In fact, on one published article they offer between 1000-4000USD, imagine you publishing 10 articles per yr...... I have collected these incentives and still collecting. I wish Nigerian and other Africans can take this route.

They offer 1800usd as support for conference in Asia and Americas, 1200usd for Europe.

No no..due to the embargo, TRNC is not business spot for foregners but since is just a stone away from Turkey, then you can carry your business in Turkey. Is do-able cos we have done it and many also have done that before.....also due to those internet scammers, more restrictions are in places for Nigerian/African.
Wip the boss.. I remember when i first came to the island and I went to see wip in the office with my other friend. He told me same thing about publishing papers and doing research (although Wip sir, u didn't get back to me again on sites for the articles.. Anyways I'm past that now.. Lol). Well my curiosity in publishing papers drove up and interest in research landed me a full-time assistant job, and also my thesis is on the way to being my first published article and many more still coming. Truth be told, that is one area, students hardly ask about, all they want is menial jobs that have no contribution to the future except stipends for the present. If you come to this island focused, ur persistent drive will definitely attract Professors to you as some of them are lazy and are usually happy when they see a student ready to work. As for scholars, speaking from the business angle, most of our professors either trained in Us, Uk or Canada and from very good schools, so you are definitely not at loss compared with Nigeria. Emu may not be Harvard or Cambridge but for their level, they are on of the best. Anyways look beyond their laziness here and I must emphasize, DO NOT LISTEN OR GIVE IN TO HEARSAYS OF PEOPLE, people do a lot of that here in the negative, it could run you mad, stay true to your goal. Good luck with your research bro

Please for those intending to apply for masters in Business Administration department (including marketing management) check business.emu.edu.tr for details of number of courses to be taken (thesis and non-thesis). We get alot of students coming to the office complaining they never knew the number of courses to take and the cost implications. Please note that the tuition fee for masters is per course not per semester. So people coming in for MBA should expect to pay higher than Marketing Management as the number of courses are higher. Tuition fees per course is also on the same site, so whatever amount per course you see there divide in half if on 50% scholarship. You should also note the difference between thesis and non-thesis programs. Stricter are requirements are done for those coming into the thesis program. Please be well informed as this would save us a lot of hassles we face especially from Nigerian students who come in newly. Congratulations to those who have their admissions already, Bon Voyage and to those who have arrived here, Hoşgeldiniz.

For the Business Department.

pls @all put dis to practice

try personally to contact schools like ciu with emeka at the international office
or contact yanki dogu or what de call near east witj kelly dia too and ask for admission.
den contact emu also
check the response from this people and tell urslf the truth.

or beta still google Cyprus international university and Nigeria u will see more.

anything north is bad news.pls all dont go dia if u not going to study. dia re beta countries u can apply for witj same range of fees.dont allow anyone tell u dat u can't get visa to a good country, with God all tinx are possible. dats how dis agents make us believe visa to oda countries is like impossible.

Please be wise try oda countries u will get dia admission and visa.

what kind of country is it u will do interview and get the visa dat same day?

or you get it d next day and u say na beta country.
even south cyprus takes 3weeks to process ur visa.

we talking of a country dat is not recognised anywia in d world.

all dis guys are agents I will give links soon of affordable universities u can apply to
A bit of question for u bro, when you were here, what was your CGPA?? I'm pretty much sure you could be one of those, who couldn't get a good standing CGPA, hence your ranting.

Well, FYI I'm not an agent, I school here currently. Another question for you is, what did u actually come here to do? Study or hustle? I meet quite a number of Nigerians here whom i know could be betteroff in Nigeria given the way they beg here and are stranded. They end up closing the school acct and working in various hotels in other to get money. The issue is, if you don't have enough money to back yourself up here, don't bother coming!!! Cos you'll end up lamenting like dis our brother here. I repeat, if you don't have the financial backup, stay in Nigeria!!!

To answer your question about recognition, i think you should check the ranking of Emu among other universities of the world which I know, no Nigerian University is close to it. Dude we have students transferring from Russia to this school(some my coursemates), also from University of Tehran (a great school also), Asia is not left out. Nobody is begging anyone to come here, infact given the way Nigerians have misrepresented us here, its betteroff we are reduced sef. Some landlords now don't even want Nigerians in their building (those living in Cyprus can relate).

Lemme tell you a bit of my journey here, i got here first semester, made some few friends that "matter", got a job in the school kitchen thru the contacts made, salary was enough to pay my bills (NOT RENT OR SCHOOL FEES), focused on my studies, made excellent grades, then applied for assistantship in my department for the next semester, was called for interview, as a focused student and a Godly one, passed the interview and was given the job with my department, to my surprise it was a full-time assistant, which means i don't pay school fees anymore and receive a salary good enough to pay my rent and foot my bills and still have remaining. That's the short story, believe it or not, dts exactly how it happened!

Bottomline: what's your purpose for coming herehuh

@vanriche

please advice ur cousin not to go to near east or yankin dogun.
dat country is dead and gone.

if she wants to study and not odawise fine, near east has a standard hospital.

but if she has any oda motive aside schooling she don enta one chance.

Let her take her time and search for schools like in Germany, finland, poland, czech repb.

this countries offer standard education and re tuition free.
Dude, if it didn't work for you here, it doesn't mean it won't work for others. People are different and also circumstances. So stop the dissuading campaign. It is very important for anyone leaving his country for another to sit down and count the cost!
Truth be told, if you are coming here to study, you will definitely get the best! Which is the reason the embassy gave you the visa and not for any other reason. Many have come here and transferred to better universities in other countries or betterstill graduated from here and are faring well either abroad or in Nigeria. However, some have also come here and made a mess of their lives cos they thought, Cyprus is a money producing country and they get stranded or return frustrated. Pls check the map and read details! Cyprus is just small island, if u dnt zoom well u'd probably miss it, it has limited industry, its simply a tourist center and for education. You shouldn't expect to compare it to Uk or the US or even Nigeria!!! They are on different grounds! The population is not even up to Lagos, although far better managed and coordinated than Lagos.

Bottom line: Look before you leap! Don't come here expecting it to be New York!! Be financially prepared!
TravelRe: North Cyprus by Gsluv(m): 9:38pm On Oct 06, 2014
Emu still does airport pick up for students despite the holidays and accommodation is provided for a night. Therefore I'd advise e those coming over here to prepare financially for accommodation, as the emu dormitories which are cheaper are currently not available anymore. New students are faced with the task of getting accommodation offcampus or private dormitories. Feel free to ask any question as per your arrival here.

Just wait, they will reply you, i sent mine on 24th and got reply like 4days after. So wait u will get ur reply.

Ilodigweudoka: personally go to a court tell them you want to prepare an affidavite for sponsor, the gate keeper or even the hustlers at the gate will take you where they type it but u can stil guide the typist with the proper statment to state when preparin it, so as to reflect no. 11 of the student visa requirements. after that i know the hustlers will charge you just to take it to the commissioner for oath, claimin that's the price for the signature. in 9ja constitution its around 5 to 25 naira. but i dont pay more than 500 to any body i meet. remember to go wit ur passport and sponsor's passport too.
i think u will be gud wit this.
Na wa ooo, one will have to go to court again.

TravelRe: North Cyprus by Gsluv(m): 6:54pm On Dec 24, 2013
Ilodigweudoka: yes, even less than a day. when you get to 8th floor of the secretariat ask of MOE's office for evaluation and authentication, inside the office you will see a post of A4 sized paper pasted inside of a transparent glass that has a skye bank info of where to pay the money for the number of result you which to authenticate. so you know the number of result you want to authenticate as each cost #300. so if it olevel, degree and transcript, thats #900. rush staright to the bank once you get the info make the payment and come back with your teller and wait for them to open their office cos they open up by 10am so by then you are already set for the whole change of teller to reciept and submission of documents. while others are busy waiting to be refered to the bank you are already done and submitted. i bet you if you submit before 11am your doc will be among the once to be sent in early for signing and by 2pm or so you are done. *ceteris paribus* all things being equal.
Thnks so much bro. Since i am going in for masters i don't need to authenticate O levels ryt? Just my Bsc and ofcourse school can't give me my transcript. Thnks anyways dts a relief

Ilodigweudoka: have u gotten ur visa? if no then i advice you keep calm. if yes then u need to very much define what u mean by FOCUS. we have so many dudes that are more focused than u but can still land u into trouble. most of every dudes who journeys abroad tends to have various aims for going; some can be focused schooling aiming at good grades, some can be general hustliing aiming at greener pasture, some can be the platform aiming at discovering their GOD given most cherished talent, while other are dead conscienced aiming at shady deals to get overnight wealth, some can just be looking for permanent stay weather rich or not cos 9JA DON TIRE DEM. so it will be safe for u and for us too if u define what's your prerequisite for terming one focused. for the whole purpose be achieved at the end. mind you ask for a brother dont ask for guys, with strong brotherhood on this kinda journey coupled with GOD, i am skeptical if ur desire wont come to fruition. am a prospective EMU peep too but still getting tins done underground.
Nope v not got the visa yet buh m sure there'll be no problem getting that. Ofcourse what I mean by "focused" is someone dedicated to studies and a very sound practicing christian who loves GOD.

Christianity EtcRe: The Distorted Message Of Grace That We Preach by Gsluv(m): 7:25am On Oct 02, 2013
One thing we should know is there are different kinds of people reading this thread; those who have attained a level of maturity in Christ; those who are still babes; those who don't understand the word at all and those who see this as an opportunity to sow seeds of confusion.

The more the argument on this matter, the more confusion is created in the hearts of many, which is not the goal of christianity. Let us all avoid this.

Now to the topic, the reason anyone would be bothered about Grace licensing us to sin or not and then be forgiven is because there's still a crave deep down to sin.

Our focus is to be on Christ, His teachings, His life and example and as we do this, our consciousness of sin will gradually vanish. If we continue to debate on this, we are only making ourselves more conscious of sin thereby exalting it.

If you are consumed with God and maintaining a relationship with Him, you'd know Him and what He likes and what He doesn't, the question of Grace being a license to sin or not would not bother you, you'd be busy loving him.

"37  And He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect). 38  This is the great (most important, principal) and first commandment."
This is what we as christians should be concerned about and every other thing would fall into place. We should not allow for seeds of discord to be sown amonst us.

Shalom.
