British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been criticised on social media for not shaking the hands of two black men at the Conservative Party conference

In the video posted on twitter, Johnson walked down a line of people shaking their hands but bypasses two delegates, both of whom are black.

Clips of the incident, caused some users to hit out at the Prime Minister.

One post said Johnson showed his "blatant racism refusing to shake hands with two black men".

Another said: "Missing a handshake when doing the rounds is common. Not extending your hand to two black men as you walk past shaking everyone else's hands is a deliberate choice".

Some users jumped to Johnson's defence, saying the two men were clapping and the PM only shook the hands of people who had extended their hands out.

"This is a shameless, pathetic attempt to portray #BorisJohnson as a racist. He shook the hand of EVERY person who offered him theirs. Period. The two black gentleman elected not to offer their hands (sic)," one user posted.

It is not the first time Johnson has been in hot water over his perceived racism, in a 2002 column for the Telegraph he referred to African people as "flag-waving piccaninnies," with "watermelon smiles."

This video is said to be a month old, but somewhat still trending on social media.

Tonight, Ms Florence Otedola had a fundraising for her Foundation at Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.

They also included the Senator Gabriel Suswam, Representative of Senate President, Ahmad Lawan; Minister of State for Transport, Gbemisola Saraki; National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole; billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote; and his daughter Hajia Halima Dangote.


Others were Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Paulen Tallen; former Governor of Borno State, Gen Buba Marwa; Group CEO, Oando Plc, Wale Tinubu; Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun; and Governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum.

Billionaire business mogul, Mr. Femi Otedola, during the event, donated a sum of N5 billion to save the children against acute malnutrition in the Northeastern part of Nigeria.

Otedola made the donation through his first daughter, Miss Tolani Otedola.
While speaking at the event, the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, said Otedola’s donation to save the children was the largest donation to charity in Nigeria today.

Alhaji Aliko Dangote, who also donated N100 million, said that the country needs more Nigerians with a big heart to give back to the needy, saying the government should not be allowed to do it alone as the government already has a lot of challenges.

He wondered why people find it so difficult to give out money to the needy, stressing that the more one gives the more God blesses the giver.

Alhaji Dangote stressed that with Otedola’s donation, he had joined the league of wealthy men.

Earlier, Florence Otedola, also known as DJ Cuppy, said that over the years, her passion in tackling issued surrounding young Nigerians grew as she got more involved with the work of charity partners to make a change.

She stressed that the work and impact of various intervention programmes by Save the Children in Nigeria could not be understated, especially after her visit to the Maiduguri Stabilisation Centre in Borno State.

The visit, according to her, was a life-changing moment, as it pointed to the fact that there is more to be done collectively to support the goals in making life of every Nigerian count.

Ms Otedola stressed that ever since her visit, her determination to save Nigerian children has grown.

She appealed to good-hearted Nigerians to join the fight and save the children, especially in war-torn Northeast.

According to the Nigerian man with twitter username @Bak, he's tired with the way upcoming musicians have stalking him to sign them to his record label.

That aside, he hardly sleeps at night with the manner people scream “OBO PLEASE HEP MY LAIVE”.

Segun Afolabi, a 26-year-old Financial Analyst and ex president of the Nigerian Economics Students Association, Covenant University, has been murdered by his gateman and his neighbor who had interest in the car he bought about a week ago.

The incident happened on Monday, November 4, 2019, at his residence in Gbagada, Lagos State. It was gathered that the suspects, after killing Mr. Afolabi, wrapped him up with his duvet and put him in the boot of his own car.

They then drove the car to the front of Gbagada General hospital, where they dumped his corpse and drove off. The gateman later sent his wife to Afolabi’s house to steal all the remaining valuables there.

However, the duo ran out of luck after they were flagged down at a police checkpoint in Edo State on Tuesday morning and arrested.

An 18-year-old comedian identified simply as Bobo, was left injured after being assaulted by some men after performing at DJ Bongs’ event which was held in Durban, South Africa.

Bobo who became a known face in his community after his comedy videos went viral, was left with bruises and a gash around his mouth and left eye by the men that "attacked him for no reason".

Sharing the video on Facebook, the comedian's friend said it was a hate crime assault which centered on his sexuality.

Man laments after Air Peace Airline refused to lift him and his colleagues after checking in today at Lagos airport.

According to the man who was heading to Port Harcourt with his colleagues, Air Peace officials refused to let them board the plane because they refused to delete a video they recorded with their phone.

In the said video, they questioned the airline officials for delaying their flight but were subjected to an uncomfortable situation.

A Nigerian who returned from Germany was seen yesterday fighting with another lady over a man at a bar in Warri, Delta state.

According to a video we came across on social media, the lady who just returned, was stripped unclad during the dirty fight and almost fainted when she couldn't stand the lady who allegedly stole her man.

Others who were having a drink at the bar, had to intervene.

Yesterday, a video showing men of the Nigerian Army engaging in extra judicial killing of a suspected member of the terrorist group, Boko Haram, went viral.

Nigerians reacted in shock as the video showed the officers pushing the suspected sect member into a shallow grave, shooting him dead and burying him afterwards.
