A lady, identified as Mrs Taiwo Adewale, has been arrested for biting off the thumb of her neighbor in Lagos State.

The incident happened on Thursday, at No 3, Ibidun Street, Governor Rd, Ikotun.

It was gathered that the suspect, who teaches at Binta International school, Ejigbo, and her neighbor were having a heated argument when she bit off her thumb.

Ex-BBNaija housemate, Khafi Kareem, says she has been asked to resume work at the London Metropolitan police in the United Kingdom where she was an officer before participating in Big Brother Naija 2019.

Khafi who returned to the UK two weeks ago, told Mirror in a new interview, that she did ask her bosses for permission to go on the show but they declined her request. She said the police have since contacted her and asked her to return to her seat.

“I started to ask what the procedure is, what would I do, I thought I might actually get into the show. I wanted to do everything by the book even though I didn’t know if I was in the show or not. I spoke to as many people as I was told to. I was told to go to my commander; I explained the situation, I told him I wanted time off – three months off of work and the reason was because I might get on Big Brother.

Work has been really great, we’ve been speaking and communicating, they asked me when I’d be coming back to work. I’m not sure when I’m going to go back yet. I want to get back as soon as possible, I’m passionate about keeping London safer.” she said.

Khafi who turns a year older today November 3rd, also denied claims that herself and her former housemate turned lover, Gedoni Ekpata, had sex while in the house. She confirmed they were in a serious relationship and hopes they are still together for a love time.

“We are still together now – I met someone in there and fell in love with him. I hope we will be together for a very long time.” she said.

A baby with a rare condition, Harlequin-type ichthyosis, has been born in Borno State.
The child was delivered on Monday at the Umaru Shehu Hospital, Maiduguri, Borno State.

There was said have been confusion and commotion in the hospital following the birth of the baby.

Wikipedia said: Harlequin-type ichthyosis is a genetic disorder which results in thickened skin over nearly the entire body at birth.

The skin forms large, diamond-shaped plates that are separated by deep cracks. They affect the shape of the eyelids, nose, mouth, and ears, and limit movement of the arms and legs. Restricted movement of the chest can lead to breathing difficulties.

These plates fall off over weeks. Other complications can include premature birth, infection, problems with body temperature, and dehydration.

Harlequin-type ichthyosis is due to mutations of the ABCA12 genes. It is inherited from a person’s parents in an autosomal recessive manner. Diagnosis is often based on appearance at birth and confirmed by genetic testing. Before birth amniocentesis or ultrasound may support the diagnosis.

There is no cure. Early in life constant supportive care is typically required. Treatments may include moisturizing cream, antibiotics, etretinate, or retinoids. It affects about 1 per 300,000 births. Both sexes are affected equally commonly. Long term problems are common. Death in the first month is relatively common.

The condition was first documented in 1750.
Newborns with harlequin-type ichthyosis present with thick, fissured armor-plate hyperkeratosis. Sufferers feature severe cranial and facial deformities.

The ears may be very poorly developed or absent entirely, as may the nose. The eyelids may be everted (ectropion), which leaves the eyes and the area around them very susceptible to infection. Babies with this condition often bleed during birth. The lips are pulled back by the dry skin (eclabium).

Joints are sometimes lacking in movement, and may be below the normal size. Hypoplasia is sometimes found in the fingers. Polydactyly has also been found on occasion. In addition, the fish mouth appearance, mouth breathing, and xerostomia place affected individuals at extremely high risk for developing rampant dental decay.


Patients with this condition are extremely sensitive to changes in temperature due to their hard cracked skin, which prevents normal heat loss. Respiration is also restricted by the skin, which impedes the chest wall from expanding and drawing in enough air.

This can lead to hypoventilation and respiratory failure. Patients are often dehydrated, as their plated skin is not well suited to retaining water.

It’s been said that the students of the university are been forced to do revalidation so as to retain their studentship.

The revalidation is up for all levels 100-500 levels and the student think it’s getting to much because they are made to pay some certain money in the act of revalidating their studentship (Extorting them unnecessarily)

The revalidation process isn’t fair to the student as been heard because they are meant to provide all the tellers of their payment into the school account from 100 level to their present level in the school academic session, but necessary and unnecessary tellers must be provide.

The cause of this led to a peaceful protest of the students in the early hours of today (Thursday).

A Cameroonian immigrant to the United States of America has called on President Donald Trump to ‘build the wall’ on the United States-Mexico border in order to keep illegal immigrants from entering the USA.

According to President Trump, Ben Okiriki immigrated to the United States when he was 14 years old after facing ‘hardships” in Cameroon. Okereke who later joined the U.S. Army said that he was opposed to illegal immigration just like President Trump.

While delivering remarks at the Young Black Leadership Summit 2019 on Friday, Okiriki made the statement.

However, Okiriki’s remarks did not go down with some Africans, and in particular, Cameroonians after it was erroneously reported on social media that Okiriki himself had entered the US illegally.

Okiriki is being accused of adding his voice to Trump’s at the expense of other Africans because he is enjoying America but wants to deny other people the same chance that he got.

A transgendered lady is currently under fire, for breaking an old man's head on a train in US just because he preached the word of God.

According to a Nigerian lady, Oluwa Funmike, who's based in NYC, she lamented how the old man was humiliated by the transgendered lady on the train.

Sharing photos and videos of the incidence, she wrote;

What a world we live in that some people see preaching the word of God as a threat to their lives..

This old man right here was just singing some gospel songs and sharing the word of God to people on the train, he didn’t say anything to hurt anyone, he wasn’t even loud, you could barely hear him talk but this is what he got in return from a transgendered Lady.

Who hit him on the head with her heels, threw his Bible away and no one did anything to help but to look at this old man bleed.

It's just so annoying because this old man was far away from her.

I was just so mad and I felt I needed to do something to help him because he was bleeding too much.

He’s just an old man and he doesn’t deserve this and Justice is needed.

About seven yet-to-be identified people have been confirmed dead, while 10 others sustained various degrees of injuries in an separate accidents around Ijebu Ife axis on Sagamu – Ijebu -Ode – Benin expressway on Saturday.

According to an eyewitness, the crash occurred at Ijebu Ife in Ogun State and the victims were believed to be going for a wedding.

“The crash involved a white Mack tanker marked AGL 667 XX and a Toyota Hiace commutter bus coming from Okitipupa in Ondo state, with registration number KJA 534 XL.

“The accident was caused by excessive speeding and loss of control which resulted into head on collision.

“The commutter bus due to excessive speed could not manoeuver the diversion point and in the process had head on collision with the incoming truck,”

The FRSC boss, Oladele, when contacted, stated that 19 people were involved in the crash comprising of three male adults and 16 female adults, saying that 10 people were injured while seven died in the crash.

He noted that the injured victims were rescued to General Hospital, Ijebu-Ode while the deceased were deposited at the same hospital Morgue.

Oladele commiserated with the families of the victims and urged them to visit the medical institutions or the FRSC Command at Ijebu–Ode , for details of the crash.

He admonished motorists to drive cautiously and within approved speed limits and resists dangerous overtaking to avoid road crashes.

A suspected robber was tackled in the street by passers-by after an alleged ram-raid on a jewellery shop in west London.

Dramatic footage showed members of the public kicking and punching the man as he attempted to flee the scene of a smash-and-grab robbery in Shepherd's Bush.

Police officers were called shortly and the suspected thief was arrested.

A 24-year-old man who was drinking beer, smashed his truck into a Brandon Township BP gas station at 2:30 a.m,.Thursday before yanking the license plate off his vehicle and fleeing the scene.

According to the suspect, he wanted to speed around the gas pumps because his new tires spin easily, but he lost control.

The Surveillance footage from inside the station in Ortonville shows the man, William Edmonds crash into the building.

According to police reports, he subsequently stripped the license plate from his truck and fled because he was scared, and he had no intention of running into the gas station or hurting anyone.

Nobody was injured inside or outside the store, but displays inside were destroyed.

His image was caught clearly on camera and the gas station employee knew Edmonds, a regular of the store hence he was charged with reckless driving and failing to report an accident.
