drugBaronTINUBU: Yes, that would have been an avenue to play the tribalism card and make him an outcast during the campaign process His was coming with 2 heavy disadvantage 1. Not from Edo central that almost everyone agreed the next governor should come from but Edo south that has the incumbent governor 2. Having a Yoruba name.
Despite all these, none was used to campaign against him. Big lesson to others
The second part. U said some people on social media🤣 Mc oluomo mama chukwudi comes to mind.
The announcement on election day that if u know u are igbo and not voting APC stay in your house Say what you want Gbarebo is never going to be the governor of Lagos State. No fifth columnist is going to gain power in anywhere in Yoruba under any guise. Call it tribalism all you want. As long as a Fulani cannot become the governor of Anambra just perish the thought. |

TheBillyonaire: So in essence a 650 mpd capacity refinery can not produce enough PMS daily or they have been refused the supply capacity that enables them refine adequately.
All these games should stop. And I do not know why Dangote is weak. You can not build a 16 billion dollars infrastructure and not be ready to wage war against people jeopardizing your investment for their earns.
Dangote needs to buy oil wells, drill the well, pump the crude oil and refine the oil, then buy up the fuel station value chain and deliver to the market.
No one will do this for him. He needs to be a man instead of crying like a baby to his competitors who are basically in the Presidency importing from their foreign refineries. When they were building refineries abroad, they did not know Dangote will be successful with local refinery, so he should fucck them up. Did you ask yourself how many litres you will be able to lift in a day, a week or a month even if you have an infinite number of trucks? |

9jatriot: Stop trying to set up the government or Dangotte himself. Fuel (petrol) is not likely to reduce anytime soon.
Do not raise the hopes of people unnecessarily.
However, it will boost the economy of Nigeria in a lot of ways. It is far more likely to reduce than go up. Stop spreading anxiety by predicting gloom and doom all the time. |

Leave everything the way it is like this. I believe without subsidy market forces will soon drag down this useless inflation when we have more competitors “Also, some big players may not get enough quantity from the plant and they will have to complete this with imported products. The market forces which made it possible for Nigeria to subsidize products which ended up in Niger, Republic of Benin and others while Nigerians continued to queue up for non existent PMS. |
Politics › Re: It Makes No Sense For NNPC To Sell Dangote Petrol Higher Than Imported One-IPMAN by Guestlander: 4:22pm On Sep 16, 2024 |
DeLaRue: It makes over five trillion naira sense.
That's how much it cost every year for NNPC/Nigeria to subsidise in order to keep petrol price at around N600.
And it was borrowed money that future generations will have to pay back.
Remove all petrol subsidy and let us pay the market price.
Mr Jonathan or Mr Buhari removed kerosene subsidy. People wailed that heavens will fall. It has not fallen.
Either Mr Buhari or maybe it was Mr Jonathan removed diesel subsidy. Businesses wailed that heavens will fall. Heaven hasn't.
If petrol subsidy is removed, and the country stops the bone-headed, stupid borrowing to pay for subsidy, it will be to the long term benefit of Nigeria. And heavens will still not fall.
Infact, I suspect heavens will smile and say, finally, sense got to these ones. Spot on, very well said. |
