aribisala0: There cannot be a contradiction in a question It us an inquiry
One may hold the right opinion by luck not necessarily for the right reasoning
So I ask questions to understand your thinking Opinions right or wrong are all processes of reasoning. How do you come about an opinion by luck? You were sitting in your armchair and it just dropped on your lap? I think you were just trying to start an argument. |

aribisala0: Did it exist anywhere at any time? You should ask the person who created the thread about ancient democracy in Igboland. By the way, aren't you contradicting your own statements on this thread? I can ask you the same question because earlier you said and I quote "Historically there is nothing like an Igbo democracy . It did not exist"How is this different from what I said? |
Politics › Re: IGBO Ancient Democracy Was One Of The Best Systems For Ancient Blacks by Guestlander: 1:39pm On Aug 30, 2024 |
aribisala0: People? Which people? Even in a military government "people " choose. Leaders So your definition raises questions for more definition
People Freely Choose
How are those things defined?
Democracy is probably impossible to define with universal unanimity
Just like goodness
A lot of people like to suggest elections imply democracy
They forget Hitler won an election Whichever way you want to define it, my point is that it didn't exist in that part of the country as far as history is concerned. |
Politics › Re: IGBO Ancient Democracy Was One Of The Best Systems For Ancient Blacks by Guestlander: 1:23pm On Aug 30, 2024 |
aribisala0: Well depends on how you defined democracy? A system where people freely choose their leaders. How do you define it? |
Politics › Re: IGBO Ancient Democracy Was One Of The Best Systems For Ancient Blacks by Guestlander: 1:16pm On Aug 30, 2024 |
aribisala0: That is not inconsistent with democracy There is a better refutation I agree but there wasn't any evidence of any form of democracy ever existing in that part of Nigeria. |

loveth360: So how come Ojukwu was still the governor of Eastern region before the war started?
You people have told so many lies to blame Igbos for failure of your Nigeria.
For over five years now Igbos are not close to ruling Nigeria, yet Nigeria have become worst. Get a copy of the decree, it clearly stated that all the provinces with immediate effect will come under the authority of the Federal government and went on to spell out in clear terms in what cases the government of the provinces may make laws for themselves. It says for administrative purposes the provinces may do this or that. Find the decree and read it. By the way, Ojukwu was part of the military council that created the decree and he was ok with it until the July 1966 coup when northerners became the new beneficiary for what Ironsi started. |
Politics › Re: South West Groups Seeks Return To Regional Government by Guestlander: 12:41pm On Aug 30, 2024 |
gidgiddy: Why do these people continue with their never ending lie? The January military coup of 1966 only took away democracy. Decree 34 was about the civil service, nothing more
All 4 Region's existed under Ironsi with full resource control, so how was your sovereignty thwarted? The only thing that was thwarted was democracy
It was Gowon that came after Ironsi, promulgated Decree 14 which abolished the 4 existing Region's, and created 12 states to replace them. Gowon then followed this up with Decree 15 which ended resource control. It was Gowon that introduced unitary rule by denying you control of your resources
Why can these people tell the truth for just once! You are talking nonsense. Find the decree on the internet and read it. If you need a translation to your local language that can be arranged. Ironsi's decree 34 put an end to regionalism. The 4 Regions existed as what? The mere existence of the Regions didn't make them autonomous states within the federation of Nigeria. That is what Ironsi took away with his decree. |

The woman doesn't exist in any live search. Better say she will soon cease to exist. Bunch of retards. |

YORUBA BELIEVE IT IS THEIR CALLING AND BIRTHRIGHT TO INSULT IGBO PEOPLE EVERYDAY OF THEIR LIVES.
THE MINUTE OCCASIONALLY THEY SEE ANY IGBO REPLY, IT IS FRONT PAGE NEWS. Very rare indeed, especially if you are selective about what you want to see and hear. |

But this arranged one pained you.
Joe Igbokwe na play for your eyes abi?
Or can't someone create a fake account for such motive? Cowards, your father and grandfather made similar threats and they never had the balls to carry out just one. If dem born you well you know what to do. But your innate cowardice will make sure you can never act on your threats. |

OfoIgbo: Of course I am waiting for updates.
This is not the first time Tinubu is using some misguided Igbos. Joe Igbokwe is the chief of those misguided Igbos.
I will even want the Igbo union in Canada to properly investigate this matter and come up with a press release. The Igbo Union should be in touch with the Canadian police and the woman herself (if she truly exists) and everything ironed out.
If it turns out she said those things, the Igbo Union must insist on the most serious punishment being meted out on her. This is a perfect opportunity to properly deal with any Igbo-Ronu misguided person. Nobody is buying your upside down logic about Tinubu. It is what it is. |

Yeah, keep deceiving yourself. An Ibo woman was used to paint ibos in a bad light? Nothing go happen? Just pray to whatever you pray to that no Yoruba person is harmed. A thousand things will happen and no power on this planet will be able to stop it. |

Or is that a secret to you also?
