CrimeUS Gave Buhari List With Names Of Oil Thieves - Source by gunnykid(op): 4:48pm On Aug 21, 2015
A breaking report contains that President Muhammadu Buhari was given the specific names of oil thieves in the course of his recent visit to the US.

A member of Buhari’s entourage was said to have disclosed this information on Tuesday, July 28, to The Punch. The source added that when the Nigerian leader saw the list provided by the US, he could not believe his eyes.

“I can tell you that the President already has the list of names of the people engaging in the stealing of Nigeria’s oil. The list, when released by the president, will shock Nigerians. But let’s wait and see first.”

Another source from the presidency confirmed the information noting, however, that Buhari “has been keeping the list to himself”.

It was also obtained that there was one list with the names of high-rank Nigerian officials involved in corruption schemes and the other list with the names of illegal bunkerers. Apart from the government officials, the “oil list” allegedly contains the names of the retired and serving military chiefs.Based on the report referring to the source disclosures, some ministers were stealing up to 250,000 barrels of Nigeria’s crude daily.

The person from Buhari’s team said Nigeria’s number 1 politician was already considering the idea of setting up a panel to try the guilty officials.

“The president will probe all of them and make sure they return whatever fortune they had made from their thievery.”

It should be recalled that Edo state Governor Adams Oshiomhole claimed that one of Goodluck Jonathan’s ministers had stolen $6billion. The information was reportedly provided by the American side in the course of Buhari’s visit. This caused serious argument among Nigerians. Many came down on Oshiomhole saying that he is one of those with itchy fingers. The others, outraged by the revelation, urged the acting government to immediately find and prosecute the minister accused of massive stealing.

In a recent development the All Progressives Congress disclosed the official position of the party regarding corrupt officials of the immediate past administration:

“Some people have insinuated that the Buhari administration should ignore the massive looting of our patrimony and move on. We say no responsible government can afford to do that, because it will amount to endorsing corruption and impunity.”

President Buhari on several occasions reiterated his commitment to fighting public funds embezzlement. This was also the case in the US where the Nigerian leader has recently met with his American counterpart Barack Obama.

CrimeProfessor Seeks Divorce After 46 Years Of Marriage by gunnykid(op): 10:17am On Aug 20, 2015
A 67-year-old university professor has dumped his wife after 46 years of marriage. On Wednesday, August 19, Benki Womboh, a professor of library and information science at Modibbo Adama University of Technology in Yola, told a court that his life was not safe and he needed to put an end to his troubled marriage.

Premium Times reports that in an affidavit, Womboh disowned his 55-year-old wife, Grace Ayoo, and six children, saying that he was fed up with the marriage.

“There was no longer any love in the marriage. There were several attempts to hold reconciliation meetings with Grace Ayoo, her children and family members but to no avail. Even a meeting convened at the instance of Grace Ayoo’s Pastor at NKST Akaajime, but she refused to attend,” he said.

Womboh confessed that he was forced out of sympathy for his late friend, Pastor Jacob Ayoo, to marry his daughter Grace in August 1969 at Makurdi.Speaking with journalists, Womboh regretted that his wife had shared the six children of the marriage and gave him only one boy.

“Grace Ayoo took away four girls and one boy (Friday Terungwa) that they were not fathered by me. And to make matters worse, she married a security man from the then Benue Cement Company (now Dangote Cement Company) and she sued me for divorce at a magistrate court at Makurdi.

“The court case was struck out because the man who married Grace Ayoo died and so she stopped attending the court,” he said.

Womboh revealed that when he and Grace were living apart, he married three other wives in “quick succession”. However, in 1999 after the death of Grace’s husband, he made a decision to take her and the five children back.

“But as a result of Grace Ayoo deserting the marriage at various times, I had to marry three other wives ‘in succession’, which means that as any one of them left he had to marry another one, because I do not want to be a bachelor at any point in time.“When Grace Ayoo was brought back in 1999, she refused to recognize these other three wives and their four children. On June 9, 2014 she invited me to her residence at Gboko and dictated new marital terms to me as follows: ‘’Drive away the other three wives,’’ the professor said.

Womboh said that his wife threatened to leave him with their six children if he failed to comply with her demand. The concerned father regretted that his children, whose ages range from 36-46, had refused to help him and call their mother to order.

“The said children, either by means of a devilish spell or covenant, have become so gullible that whatsoever their mother says, they accept hook, line and sinker,” he added.

According to @belle_e_burton on Instagram, the young boy who is her little cousin was asked to write a letter to Boko Haram. The young boy totally poured his heart out in the letter! Read the letter below:
Dear wicked Boko Haram,

I am writing this letter to you on why you should stop killing people. One of the reasons why you should stop killing people is because they will become too many people who will want to be killing. You cannot just stop. You kidnapped Chibok girls for over a year and you kidnapped another and kept them in Sambisa forest, Borno and you have been always killing.

I have a message for you if you don’t stop. The everlasting arms of God will slap you. You will mistakenly bomb your own camp in the night and your flesh and bones into hashes. Hear the word of Lord.

Yours Angrily,

Sope.

Crime150 Drowned, Dozenz Injured In Boko Haram Ambush by gunnykid(op): 6:14pm On Aug 18, 2015
About 150 people have drowned in a river or were shot dead fleeing Boko Haram gunmen who raided a remote village in Nigeria’s north-eastern Yobe state, locals said on Tuesday, August 18.Local sources say dozens of militants arrived on motorcycles and a car on Thursday, August 13, and opened fire, scattering terrified residents of Kukuwa-Gari.Modu Balumi, a resident of the village, told AFP: “They opened fire instantly, which forced residents to flee. They shot a number of people. Unfortunately many residents who tried to flee plunged into the river which is full from the rain. Many drowned.”“By our latest toll we have 150 people either (shot dead) or drowned in the attack. The gunmen deliberately killed a fisherman who tried to save drowning residents of the village,” he added.

Balumi said the bodies of many of the drowned were picked out by locals several kilometres away.

AFP reports that news of the attack was slow to emerge because the militants destroyed telecom masts around the village, around 50km from Yobe State capital Damaturu, since the insurgency began in 2009.

Bukar Tijjani, another villager, told AFP: “Boko Haram gunmen attacked our village on Thursday which led to the deaths of around 150 people. Most of the victims died in the river while trying to escape. The gunmen opened fire on the village forcing people to run to safety.”“Most residents, particularly women and children, ran towards the river in confusion. They were pursued by the gunmen, who kept firing at them. In the frantic effort to escape they jumped into the river, which was full to the brim.”

A local government official confirmed the attack, but put the death toll much lower, at around 50.

Meanwhile, reports over the weekend have it that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) bombarded the bunkers of Boko Haram insurgents in Sambisa forest, the notorious hideout of the terrorists.

The NAF had started massive bombardment of the area in compliance with President Muhammadu Buhari’s recent order to the service chiefs to end Boko Haram in three months.

The operation was launched with the use of the newly-deployed aircraft. The director of air force public relations Dele Alonge informed Nigerians that the mission resulted in “the degradation of the terrorist’s capabilities and destruction of some of their strongholds.”

PoliticsMinisters To Probe Obasanjo by gunnykid(op): 5:55pm On Aug 18, 2015
The senators, while contributing to the debate, also condemned the inability of the TCN to provide uninterrupted power supply to all parts of the country.

on Thursday the Senate had set up a 13 member Ad-Hoc Committee to carry out a comprehensive investigation into the management of funds so far appropriated for the power sector since 1999.

Heading the Committee is Senator Abubakar Kyari, was also given the task of probing the unbundling of the defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria by the Federal Government.

The decision was taken by the Upper Chamber while passing a motion sponsored by the Senate Leader, Ali Ndume, seeking the immediate reconnection of some parts of Borno State back to the national grid in view of the challenges the blackout was posing to his constituents.

The Senate urged the Federal Government to complete the Mambilla Power Project with the aim of improving electricity supply in the country.

Furthermore its been also called on President Muhammadu Buhari to direct the Transmission Company of Nigeria to immediately reconnect Maiduguri to the national grid.

As also directed the committee to conclude its investigations and report to the Senate within two weeks.

While contributing to the debate, the senators also condemned the inability of the TCN to provide uninterrupted power supply to all parts of the country.

Ndume expressed concern that Nigeria, with a population of over 150 million, produced only 4,600 megawatts, while South Africa with a population of about 40 million people produced 40,000 megawatts.

He observed that the disconnection of Maiduguri , the Borno State capital, from the national grid, as well as the degeneration of power supply across the country had affected the economy negatively.

He also expressed concern that with an installed power generation potential of about 5,000 megawatts, the output distributed currently was about 1,950 megawatts.

He further added that it was disheartening to note that Iran with over 77 million people “generates about 42,000 megawatts, while South Korea with over 49 million people generates about 60,000 megawatts of electricity.”

Ndume, who said that Maiduguri and its environs had been completely disconnected since the emergence of insurgency, complained that the situation had grounded economic activities in the state.

He said, “I buy diesel to run my generator and that costs me N10, 000 per day. No country can be said to be near development when there is no power.

“This Senate needs to investigate this to give the government support. For some years now, a lot of money has been spent but there is nothing to show for it.”

In contribution to what Ndume had said, Senator Danjuma Goje said the motion in view of the untold suffering that lack of power supply had caused Nigerians.

Also Senator Godswill Akpabio lamented that many companies had shut down operation due to irregular power supply in the country.

He lamented that in spite of the financial contribution by some states in the South to improve power supply, Nigerians were still grappling with lack of electricity supply.

He said, “In 2015, we are celebrating 4,000 megawatts, for me this is worrisome. We cannot have employment without power and Nigerians are complaining about the high cost and some localities which have not seen light for months are asked to pay high tariff.”

The Nigeria’s Senate President, Bukola Saraki, noted that the inadequate power supply in the country was a cause for concern, saying it had affected the economic growth of the nation.

He observed that the lack of power supply had plunged the country into further hardship, besides corruption.

He said, “We thought that with the Power Reform Act and the unbundling of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, we will begin to see improvement with regard to power supply; unfortunately, it is not so.

“The Ad Hoc Committee that we set up should look at the activities of the Discos and what is preventing Nigerians from benefitting from the unbundling of the PHCN.”

“Those who are fighting and plotting to truncate the lifespan of the mandate freely given to me by the people of Rivers State, will be disgraced by the God of the Lord’s Chosen .

“The way the God of the Lord’s Chosen did it on April 11, that is how he will do it again,” he was quoted to have said during the service.

According to The Nation, the governor told the congregation that it was at the same denomination in the state that he vowed that if the rumour that he was a member of a cult, he should not win the governorship election.

Wike is now boastful that he won the governorship election because the rumour spread by the opposition was false, and that his administration, by virtue of strategic planning, has confounded those who claimed that road construction cannot take place at the height of the rainy season.

The governor recently stated his disinterest in whether or not his predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi, becomes a minister of the federal republic under president Muhammadu Buhari.
