obaino860: [s]kindly answer the question below...
the map very well and tell me how come about SS and SE...if you look at the map very well...you will see that the place called SE is at the middle surrounded by the so called SS...is it that we don't know how to allocate regions again? or what..... Or is it that we don't know where cardinal point are located again[/s]. Rubbish, I didn't read. Show us the map where the SE is surrounded by the SS |

..The Yoruba's are dragging Lagos.. ..One day the Hausa's will wake up and start dragging Abuja...
...I just pity the SS/SE, we are just the biggest looser. How can you drag something that is obviously yours? Would it make sense if I say Igbos are currently dragging Enugu? Use your God given sense. |

vantage001: No, you are looking like the pained one, mr afonja. A weaker partner will not host a union on his own soil. If the SS and the SE get their various independence in a hypothetical scenario today, a smart gambler would put his money on the SE to be the more productive, settled and developed state in the long run. No, the SE without the SS will be the most useless in the eventual case of a breakaway without the SS. That is why the idea of a Biafra without the SS is a nightmare that you Ibos cannot fathom or imagine, it's just not an option palatable to you. |

blues20: Even if we sound, as you claimed, why is it your headache Are they complaining? Tell me why its your pain, if not obsession and extreme paranoia You are apparently missing the point. My point is you are sounding like a junior partner that has more to benefit from the arrangement than the SS. You are practically begging for their cooperation, and looking more like the weaker partner, even with your superior number. |

vantage001: Access to the atlantic closer home is the most important thing here. That should be the first thing especially from the south-east point of view. The SE need to prevail on the governor of akwaibom to develop a world class seaport and if possible make it a joint venture with an agreed revenue sharing formula. If that is the only thing they can achieve in five-ten years, then it would have been very well productive union. This is the most important singular factor of the whole attachee thing with the SS by the SE |

Amarabae: don't derail the thread out of envy and bitterness, South east and South south states want federalism,so that oil will not be drilled in yenegoa and the oil company headquaters will be in ur Lagos. You are always very quick to trivialize and display tribalism on issues. If they attack you now, you will then run away. OP, good move, anything that will ensure people stay back in their regions and take full advantage and tap the resources available therein. No more parasitic leeching and economic nomad-ism on other regions all in the name of One Nigeria. |
