Alright...........@dhtml18 you have lost this battle.
You think you know and also feel as the king of open source, but you are really the opposite of open source.
Judging by the dhtmlsql and zebra_database.
You said you are used zebra_database in your framework and found out that there are loads of bugs there, that is the reason you have to created dhtmlsql library.
You once told me that forking project isn't good.
https://www.nairaland.com/2830814/github#41704711
But never knew you are the master of forking privately and calling them your own, why don't you add those improvement you did in dhtmlsql to zebra_database since you are open source.

hmmmm, have gone through all the comments . . . From my own point of view seunthomas is more experience and a better programmer than Dhtml in the real programming world, I think Dhtml should respect that fact and pipe real low for him or be degraded more.

Meanwhile, Dhtml maybe a good mentors to some young or upcoming programmers here in NL but I will strongly advise him to should stop talking to much, attacking people or degrading people and their work as if he is a perfect dude. Dhtml have ruthlessly attack me in the past but I don't have his time @ cha.

More so just recently, for e.g. you can see Dhtml comment on https://www.nairaland.com/2922744/please-criticize-it-condemn-it ; your comment there "@op, when making a post like this, do not start putting stuffs like - you are the lead programmer of the project.
While that may be impressive to some NOOBS, some people like myself and some others will automatically expect to see great and mighty things, and when we don't, we start murdering the project." is totally uncalled for; are you killing kiddosolomon spirit or encouraging him to improve the project compare to guru01 simple and mature criticism there.

We should all learn how to appreciate, support and encourage people and their works; stop degrading people and their work to remain the BOSS here.

Peace to all real and passionate programmers in da house.
Respect to you bro.

Err, your analysis ain't correct, but close enough. . . .and i do not believe that zebra database is way ahead, with all the memory leaks and strange bugs that are inside the library?
Don't tell me that you are beefing that powerful library ooo.
Its more robust than yours and as an older library, bugs must be available due to constant improvement.

dhtml18:
I agree that my neck is longer than a girraffe's, but it is not a fork.

Fine, they have similarities, but lots of differences.

The history was that: I use zebra_database a lot, in fact, i use all stephanbros libraries very well, from zebra_session to zebra_pager etc and love the way that guy codes.
But when it comes to this zebra_database, there are too many errors, like i hate the debugging console, and it also has memory leaks (which you will never find in dhtmlsql).
To worsen matters for myself, I have used zebra_database extensively in my FRAMEWORK (which will soon hit open-source) before i discover the memory leaks and some other glitches in the zebra database. So i decided to write my own database library to use same function name, and parameter but different techniques. What this means is that, dhtmlsql can be used in place of zebra_database without changing your implementation. But there are some short-cuts, in fact many inside dhtmlsql that zebra_database lacks.

Again, dhtmlsql supports all known mysqli functions (zebra_database does not). There are many differences between the two libraries.

This is the reason that, if you compare the two codes - you cannot expressly say that dhtmlsql and zebra_database were written by the same programmer. Two completely different handwritings.

So, all in all, from my own point of view, dhtmlsql works better for me that zebra_database, and is a good alternative.
OK, but you didn't rewrite all of it.
But as a open source dude I thought its better to send your code to the master repo rather than to fork other project and debug them on your own. Since the project is still active.

@seunthomas, you have not proved anything but make yourself foolish. So dhtmlsql was forked from zebra_database project eh?
Now, you will need to prove that to the whole world.

Let me help you quickly:
dudes: here is what our op is alleging

https://github.com/stefangabos/Zebra_Database
and
https://github.com/dhtml/dhtmlsql/
are clones? oya, php dudes oya confirm that please!
This is a fork of zebra_database but I think the zebra database is way ahead, and also dhtmlsql has little different with the compared project.
I understand if he will say its a branch of zebra database.

@dhtml18, I understand why you have to defend your hard work against @seunthomas but I don't think he meant any harm. I think those things he mentioned are probably what he needed from the wrapper.
Concerning the name, you can try AgileSQL or RapidSQL.
I will use this wrapper as time goes on.

Can you perform multi query with this class?
If it uses mysqli, why then did you say its faster then what it connect to?
ProgrammingRe: DHTMLSQL - A Very Advanced Wrapper For Mysql Database! by guru01(m): 5:19pm On Feb 17, 2016
@dhtml18 I think you should rename the class to something not connecting to you at all if you want developers to assist in terms of troubleshooting and improvement.
As for me the name dhtmlsql sounds too personal. In the spirit of open source you have to give it a unique and generic name. This will help make the product acceptable worldwide.
ProgrammingRe: DHTMLSQL - A Very Advanced Wrapper For Mysql Database! by guru01(m): 5:14pm On Feb 17, 2016
Does the class connect to mysql database or it passes through mysqli?

I hated mysqli cos is not object oriented that was why I settled for PDO.
The fact that your wrapper is object oriented with make object-oriented syntax lovets like me to fall in love with it.As far as php is concerned this ur wrapper makes a great deal sense
FYI mysqli is very much oop.

Were you not the same dude that blasphemed that pdo uses mysqli function on another thread? I have never heard of such a thing in my life.
And you also said that mysqli was faster than PDO - and you were wrong because it is the very opposite.

Oya, defend yourself!
I agree with you, but that was a typo error.

I am sorry, this does not work in programming. For example, if you are an expert in JAVA, that does not automatically give you an expertise in JAVASCRIPT.
It is true that I can read codes of languages like C#, Cold fusion, Actionscript because i write codes in related languages. But that does not give me the right to criticize codes written in those languages anyhow. . .
That's not what I meant, I meant that it won't take long to write codes and use that language proficiently.
Besides @seunthomas is right. You act as if you know too much. I see to reason for your stubborness, or do you want him to hail you.

Then your programming is null.....

Every programmer has a language they specialize in.......
when a programmer says "lot of other languages" then that programmer is void....
Your statement is wrong.
He meant that programming is like driving, a good driver can drive almost anycar after doing through the manual.

@dhtml18 I agree with you.
Pdo can connect do several databases via database extensions. And it practically as fast as mysqli. But mysqli has more support for mysql database than pdo.

Thank you
But why install apache for php7, php7 already comes witht its inbuilt server.
It will be better you use php server, since you are not installing wamp/lamp/xampp.
ProgrammingRe: Why Is OOP PHP So Confusing? by guru01(m): 10:00am On Feb 15, 2016
@OP,
PDO is not faster than mysqli because PDO uses mysqli when connecting to the database.
OOP is not hard and difficult to understand, but at times there is some kind of fear in us not to forgot what we have learnt just because there is a better or new solution out there.
I have a simple database model i use with my framework when building and kind of app, i can give you just the model to use and guide you through it if you are interested.
It has all the logic in working with database whether you want to use mysqli or pdo.
