Wike should bring out that money and hire Bini teacher to Iwhuruosa (Ikwerre) people their long forgotten language.

It should be called Re-bininization project under the Education Department in Ikwerre Local government Areas.

Ohaneze should warn them to bearing Igbo names such as Emeka, Amaechi, Chidalu etc, Chibuike, we need to know who is who in this country, so that when they commit crimes we can easily point to their father's house. There are plenty names they can adopt. Osahon, Osaze, Efua, Ewurudjhakpor are all nice Bini names they can adopt.

I came across a post on Facebook where a friend claimed that the army swapped his name for another person's name even though the registration number is his own. I don't have any reason to think that this person is lying and I actually want Nairalanders to make this issue trend so that the anomaly can be corrected. Nigeria is for everybody and not only for the rich, connected, or those from specific ethnic groups. Please help my friend share this post on twitter, Facebook, and any other platform. Things like this shouldn't be happening in a sane country.

Fake news. Ikwerre are not Igbos. .

Obigbo people in Rivers are proper Igbos that was why Wike killed them.

Ikwerre are migrant slaves from Benin who came and borrowed Igbo words, names and customs due to the peaceful nature of Ndigbo. Ikwerres have confirmed they are not native indigenes of the area where they currently occupy, they are Bini offsprings of Iwhuruosa, an escapee Bini slave. These are truisms and factoids that they don't want to expantiate on.

Even Wike dodged that historical part when Dele asked him the question about his origin. Rather than expantiating he started shouting 'assuming I am Igbo, assuming I am Igbo!'. grin

Tell us your ethnological history, you dey shout 'I am not Igbo, but assuming I am Igbo'..... Dubious man grin grin

Wike is currently hanging between a sinking ship and the deep blue sea. If he decamps to APC, e don bizzle for am. Amaechi go use am do ngwo-ngwo, if he remains in PDP, it's either the PDP agrees to sink with him or throw him overboard to save their party. Some are even praying that he decamps or forms a new party.

Delegates will keep taking his money and vote against his interests, his issue has been discussed severally on PDP whatsapp groups in hush-hush tones. Wike is now officially a liability to PDP, they'd have to cut him lose or sink with him. Umahi was wise to choose this timing to jump ship.. grin

Politics / Wike Now A Political Liability To PDP- Umahi by HAccord: 5:15am On Nov 13, 2020
It is evident that Wike has lost great chunk of goodwill he formerly enjoyed in the East due to the event of the past few weeks, after he butchered the people of Obigbo for their pro-Igbo ethnocultural affiliation.

He has since been running from one media house to another to control the damage done to his political capital after failing to suppress the news of his massacre of the Obigbo people.

Even the invitation of Igbo governors, his co-party men to douse the tension he created did not work out well for him.
Gov. Umahi who led the delegation, simply took his money, said what he wanted Ndigbo to hear and decamped to APC.

Wike is understood be the chief financier of PDP and interested in contesting either as President or VP using Eastern sentiments as the paddle for his political canoe in 2023. That dream is now ill-fated and many PDP big wigs know this.

If PDP leaders do not wittle down Wike's influence in PDP, it's obvious he will now sink their ship. The man is very temperamental and very good at making knee-jerk irrational decisions like a motor park tout without careful consideration for pros and cons.

PDP should either choose to lose their intact voting bloc in the former Eastern Nigeria or throw Wike overboard in order to save their sinking ship.

Umahi has gotten the memo and like a wise man jumped from the sinking PDP ship after taking Wike's money to come and tell Igbos what they want to hear. He knows Wike is now a political liability to PDP but won't say it in public. No timing would have been better. Others will follow suit soon, if the PDP does not rein in Wike and cut him to size. Fingers crossed. grin

It is easier for a Southern Nigerian to join the US Army than to join the Nigerian Army. Go figure.

These fulani muslims are filling the entire military system with their people because they are afraid of the repercussions of the evil they've meted out to other ethnic groups. Their case will be worse than the Tigray people of Ethiopia one day.

Hausa and fulani muslims have really destroyed this country. This is nepotism and tribalism staring at us in the face. Buhari must have had an orgasm just seeing a southern Christian name swapped for a fulani muslim name in the Nigeria Army.

I still wonder how a human being with a working brain still support the current one nigeria as it is structured? And why they hate Nnamdi Kanu for telling them the obvious truth.

Guy you should make the very much public and sue the Nigeria Army.

My message to every southern Nigerians in advanced countries like US, Canada and Europe is to strive very hard to become citizens of these advanced world powers, join their meritorous politics there, rise in your political profile and contest election into powerful positions there. Use your powers as powerful citizens of world powers to push for outright disintegration of Nigeria, it is the only thing you can do to save your fatherland from the shackles of these vermins called Fulanis.

For Nigeria to be unbundled, a higher power needs to breath down its neck and destroy it for the good of humanity.

Culture / Re: Ikwerre Is Bini Land by HAccord: 3:55am On Nov 13, 2020
Ikwerres are migrant descendants of escapee Bini slaves.

For public information, Ikwerre are not Igbo, they are the descendants of Iwhuruosa a Bini slave who escaped his captors via the tributaries of River Niger and landed in ancient Igboland. They later would modify the name to 'Iwhuruoha' as the Igbos they met would pronounce the name of their progenitor. Later they came to be known as Ikwerre and I will tell you how.

In Igbo the word Ikwerre means 'I agree/accept', the Igbo gave them that name because when they were looking for land to settle after escaping from Bini, anywhere the Igbo gave them to settle, they thank their Igbo hosts by saying 'I kwerre', a corruption of the phrase the phrase 'Ayi kwerre' which means 'We agree/accept' in Igbo.

That's the true hidden story of how Ndi Ikwerre came to be where they are today. Go and ask any honest old man around Imo/river axis. I'm from that area myself, they'll tell you- Ndi Ikwerre abughi Ndigbo, ha biara-abia. They are not Igbos, they are escapee slaves from ancient Bini kingdom.

They are just not keen in making their Bini heritage public because it undermines them as descendants of Bini slaves but prefer to align with Igbo identity only when it suits them because of the majority status that Ndigbo enjoy

According to your logic The Igbos as we know them today occupied Igbo land a s we know it today in 5000 BC

do you have evidence for this?[/s]

Aribirudeen, stop clutching at your staws like a sinking man. The Ikwerres have told you that they are from Bini, they have indirectly told you that they borrowed Igbo language. Does Bini sound like Igbo to your yoruba ears? Does Igbo have any major ethnolinguistic relationship with Bini language their original language? grin

Ikwerre is a distinct language .This is a settled research fact. I refer you to the work of Kay Williamson

Rather than say Ikwerre steal Igbo language be honest.

Why not say Igbo stole Ikwerre language or both languages have the same origin.

Why assume that Igbo language came first

Anthropologists and Archeologists have unearthed Igbo ukwu cultural art works and carbon-dated them to back to 5,000 B.C, Igbo language is that old. Now when did the fleeing Ikwerre slave escapees land in their present region from Bini?

They have told you they are from Bini which means they are indirectly confirming to your empty yoruba skull that they lost their original language and borrowed from the Igbo ethnolinguistic system from their hosts. What other confirm do you need, this dubious yorubaman? grin

You know this fact, but being true to dubious self-deceitful yoruba jibiti nature, you just want to argue for arguement sake because you feel 'you must deal with Ibos/Igbos today'. Carry on with your idiocy. Eleribu! grin
