Though the prolific indigenous rapper did not officially unveil his latest venture, the T- shirts are already selling at leading online stores. He only made the sales known via his social media accounts (Twitter and Instagram), where he posted pictures and links advertising the cloth line. “Baddo Unlimited urban clothing by Olamide now available, exclusive to Konga and Jumia only, order here,” he tweeted. Olamide joins a number of Nigerian artistes who have taken interest in such ventures, with multi-award winning Ojuelegba crooner Wizkid the most recent to announce his Snapback collection. In 2014, 2Face Idibia was spotted on Ruggedman’s 8figures at the Hennessy Artistry 2014 club tour, which held at Cosmo Lounge in Port Harcourt. Olamide is gradually building an empire in the industry, rising from being just an artiste to being a record label owner and producer of two signed artistes, Lil Kesh and Viktor. When Kanye West and Kim Kardashian named their daughter ‘North West ’, the world did not know that they were starting yet another trend. Beyoncé and Jay Z were not too far off with their daughter ‘Blue Ivy’ either. According to a Swedish company called Erfolgswelle, with only £21,000 you can create an absolutely unique name for your child. How do they do it? Well it takes 100 hours and a team of 31 people. Glamour Magazine UK explains that 13 copywriters come up with an initial list of around 15 names, before this is checked by four historians to confirm that the name has no negative connotations and hasn’t been held by anyone before – EVER. Then twelve translators set to work on ensuring that the name doesn’t translate into anything in another language before two trademark lawyers scour the entire world’s list of names held by registered companies and products names to ensure that the specially-created moniker is actually unique and not already in use. …all to make sure that your little prince or princess has a name that no-one else in the world has. The process doesn’t end with the historians and language translators and copywriters and trademark attorneys. According to Daily Mail , the final process involves a market research on your new baby name. The Swedish company will submit the name to a test group of 780 people to see what they make of it. Seems like a lot, but for £21,000 they make it worth the hassle. So – would you spend £21,000 (6 Million Naira) on a unique name for your child? |

Masters of ceremonies and Religious leaders (Christians especially) often make mistakes of calling an Altar of God a stage and vice-versa. To me, an altar is a structure used for religious rite and should be respected while Stages re just used for public ceremonies. Nairalanders, ur take on dis issue pls |

Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has been the spirit child of Nigerian football in the past two years. Will he go, will he stay on the job? These were the questions that dominated many minds and therefore their online searches in 2014 as Keshi led the most searched Nigerian sports personality section of the Google Year-In-Search. According to the search engine giant, the “Year-In-Search” lists are an annual look at the billions of searches performed throughout the year. Year-In-Search uses data from multiple sources while filtering out spam and repeat queries, to build more than 1,000 fascinating top-ten lists across pop culture, sports, music, politics, news, and more. JP Clark described the abiku child in his poem of the same title as one who gets born into a household, dies and is born another time; dies again and is reborn, in a manner that continues to torture the birth mother and entire family. ever has the coach of the national team divided so much opinion as the Super Eagles handler has done in the past two years. Even his former boss Shaibu Amodu has asked him to quit and stop beggaring for the job following recent failings. "Stephen Keshi alone will decide if he has a reputation or he does not have a reputation. If he has a reputation he will walk out of the job, if he does not have, he should stay like a beggar,” Amodu said. Since he first resigned following his historic capture of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations title in South Africa, Keshi has become a thorny issue, a captivating character, a rebellious man manager. At once he is the best thing to have happened to Nigerian football since Clemens Westerhof, at other times he becomes the most vilified man on the continent. |
The striker will return to the Vicente Calderon until the end of next season, after scoring just one goal in 10 Serie A appearances Atletico Madrid have announced that Fernando Torres has rejoined the club in a loan deal from AC Milan until the end of next season. The striker made his debut for the Rojiblancos as a 17-year-old and scored 91 goals in 244 appearances before leaving the club in 2007 for Liverpool. Ill-fated spells at Chelsea and Milan followed, but upon agreeing a permanent transfer to San Siro last week, Torres has now promptly rejoined the club where he started his career. A statement on Atleti's official website read: "Fernando Torres returns to Atletico Madrid after an agreement was reached between our club and Milan as the international striker will play on loan for the remainder of the season and one more campaign. "Signing with our club is subject to the relevant medical examination that the player must undergo to join the team. "The loan will be official on January 5, the day the winter transfer market opens in Italy." Atletico Madrid winger Alessio Cerci is now almost certain to move to Milan on loan as part of the Torres deal. Reacting to the news of his return, Torres told the media at the International Sports Conference in Dubai: "I’m happy because I’ve said many many times that I can’t hide where I come from. It’s an honour to be a part of Atletico Madrid. I made my dream come true when I played my first game for them at 17. "This has been a fantastic club over the last few years, winning many trophies. I did my career outside Spain but there is a time when everyone must go back home. I was in the stands when I was a kid. "I feel it is a privilege to have the chance to go back. I’m looking forward to enjoying playing and training again." |

The Divisional Police Officer in charge of the Ijede Police Station, Nwaoha Uzoma, has died. It was gathered that after he did not pick his calls, anxious relatives and policemen in the station broke the door open and saw his lifeless body on the floor in his office last Thursday. Uzoma, a Superintendent of Police, who was married with children, was in his fifties when this sad event occured. He was formerly heading the Anthony Police Division, before he was posted to Ijede, in the Ikorodu area, early in December. A police source said: “The DPO was posted from Anthony to Ijede around December 5. At that time, he had an illness, which was not very serious. He was a friendly man who could sometime become angry and that’s when you offend him. But once he showed his anger and you begged him, he forgave and that would end it. “On the day of the incident, he entered his office and shut himself in. People didn’t suspect anything because he sometimes slept there. People didn’t see him come out throughout that day and then the next day, they called his phone repeatedly but he didn’t pick it. That was how people became suspicious and broke the door. They found his corpse on the floor.” The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, while confirming the incident on Sunday, explained that the police had yet to ascertain the cause of death. He said: “On December 25, at about 8am, SP Nwaoha Uzoma, was found dead in his office at the Ijede Police Station. His corpse was removed and deposited at St. Raphael Hospital morgue for autopsy.” May his soul RIP |
