Politics / Re: America Takes Over Nigeria (my Dream) by HadizaX: 9:32pm On Jan 09, 2010
its unfortunate that after all that has been said and done we still have dumb-asses that think from their leg up like this poster here, its a crying shame that u still see America as Ur salvation, people die everyday in that country from poverty, starvation, insurmountable bills, hardships and the likes and you are here deluding yourself that America colonizing u would solve Ur problems, u must be very small minded and fickle in depth and for your information if America colonizes Nigeria today people like you would end up shackled in some white mans house and a God forsaken slave then you would no the difference, after a Nigerian tried to blow up a plane you now think that that same America would come over, colonize you and turn you into her citizens and you'll start enjoying all her privileges!!!!! that's the most incredulous crap iv heard in a long time, really i thought human beings have ceased to be this dumb, well keep living in your lala land where the height of Ur life is to use curse words and address yourself as "nigger". i feel sorry for you.
Foreign Affairs / Re: South Africa Police Chief Blames Nigerians For South African Drug Problems by HadizaX: 10:25pm On Dec 14, 2009
its a crying shame on South Africa that they could come out and blatantly say that Nigeria is the source of their drug problem this just goes to show how deeply the plague of xenophobia has eaten into their system,

yet and still, we as Nigerians really need to face the problem that keeps biting us in the ass every day and every where we go, once you say you are a Nigerian in a foreign country, everybody stands at  alert watching your every move, why? not because we are all thieves or we have all done wrong but we have to realize that the wrongs of a few will eventually tarnish the image of the majority.

this is not the time to start pointing fingers at any tribe and saying that he is igbo or she is that, we are ALL Nigerians, most foreigners don't even know the difference, they just see us as one- NIGERIAN and the earlier we recognize this , the better for us.

it wasn't too long ago that i posted a topic of a Nigerian student caught trying to smuggle cocaine into the UK through his stomach, why must it always be us? we need to ask ourselves this question. these little mishaps here and there reflect on all of us and if we do not curb this, it is all of us that would pay the price of stigmatization, criticism and discrimination, it is time for us to wake up and realize that we need a change, we would destroy our country and leave nothing for our generation to come if this continues,

We can make a change no matter how little if every one of us decide that within my own sphere of contact i will deal as justly with my fellow man as possible regardless of the differences we may possess, i believe a change will happen,

GOD BLESS NIGERIA
Nairaland / General / Nigerian Student Caught Trying To Smuggle Cocain Into Uk by HadizaX: 8:07pm On Dec 01, 2009
Why do we keep creating a bad impression of ourselves abroad, once again a 30 year old nigerian student Fidelis Ozouli risked his life trying to haul the 1kg(67 packages) of cocain in his stomach.

His unnaturally bloated stomach was what drew the attention of the customs officers at Manchester Airport and that led to him being arrested and taken to a near by hospital for an x-ray where they discovered his stomach was filled with the class A substance

He later claimed he didnt no the packets were filled with cocain and he merely felt he was doing a favor for a friend, the judge called his story incredulous and he was slammed with a 10 years sentence.

Its so unfortunate that we nigerians keep doing this, we are building a very bad image for ourselves and the wrongs of a few will eventually tarnish the image of the majority, thats why u cant walk down the streets of uk without felling that eyes are on u, or u could be jumped at any time cos ur black and worse of nigerian.

Please lets try as much as possible to salvage the already tarnished image of our country, the atrocities mounting up against nigerians in the uk is getting too much,we have to make up our minds for a change.
