Who missed me! Una still dey here with fake news? He said she got APL. He said he received APL from senator but he is not confident and cannot even mention the date of resumption so we don't blast him later. He said that another he said APL is this week or next week latest. NNPC is the only true news. We choose to work for them but if they decide otherwise it's fine by me. We will be successful based on the standards we desire. If they choose to give their jobs to Third class or pass that did not attend interview, it's their business. What I know for sure is that God is in charge. NNPC is not the only place of success and we will keep pushing with or without them. So many baseless and fake news. In a sane society comme ici, many people who post here would be admitted for mental health issues but since it's about Nigeria then .... |

What is reality to you? Reality is that APL will come when it comes. January till when ever. Saying that APL won't come in January doesn't make you realistic because that is only known by NNPC. Best way forward like I would always say is to work as if you never applied for NNPC and when it comes you can decide to take it or not. inrainbows: very true bro. Someone would drop that apl is coming this week and they would rush and like without reasoning. When january goes without anything, maybe everyone would snap to reality. See how they abused the bahler guy and he would naw be the right one while the feel good fake sauces start another round. smh |

Just change your moniker. You don't sound worthy of who it represents. You have no information whatever but only to counter positive news as it comes. You are here to only back news that fit your narrative of events. I would admonish you to get out of this thread and face your life. Let people hope in peace. You and hoha are no different to me. Both of you are not in touch with reality. Just positive and negative sides. muhamm3d: It's just that this APL has turned many heads here. It's easy to see that the way he drops his info is pure and devoid of any want of attention. Unfortunately many here have totally lost touch with reality so they prefer to keep living in thier minds. All d APLs will drop in January, aren't we proceeding to mid already? I feel for many of you tbh. Watch them drop fake positive news again about how thier uncles brother nieces friend is top source as nnpc and he said APL is locked in a safe but the janitor has misplaced d key, once he finds they start sharing. Forget this idea that bad news is fake news. When someone said far back that this recruitment is 2020, guys were casting and binding. Now see where we are. hooha: Learn from JARUS:
Have you seen how organized, polished and coordinated JARUS dishes out his information. It is simple, clear and managed. He too may at one time or the other hear stuff that are not too ok about the recruitment; but his information management to the public is okay. He doesn't just come online and begin to pour bad news; he does his like a polished CEO.
Some of you here act like you "won a lottery" if a bad news is given. You show signs of happiness when bad news is given as regards this recruitment exercise, but I tell you, God is going to give us good news in this NNPC recruitment.
I wish you the best as you get your APL (E.H and G.T) |

They are all competitive. It's not like the other EH have no connection within the industry too. It's like two people fighting with guns. trilobite: When I say "competitive", I am not talking about the competition you can see. EH recruitment politics in the civil service is normally on a totally different scale compared to GT. Unlike GTs (most of whom depend on outsiders), EH applicants are usually personally involved. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Apply For 2019 NNPC Graduate Trainee And Experience Hire by hafeezsemzy: 12:38am On Dec 30, 2019 |
By who and how? Everything in life is competitive even the spermatozoa that forms everyone of us was competitive. There is no difference between the EH competition and the GT competition except that they are experienced. For 2 EH position we can have 50 or less competition because of the stiff requirements. But for a single GT position you can have 1000 competition because GT is open source trilobite: I believe the panalyst guy. Historically from past recruitments the EH struggle has always been very deadly. Competitors are all financially endowed, qualified, and highly connected.
I expected it to get worst this time and have been proven right. God help everyone. |

Nothing is certain. That's the fact. Only those who are in the know have the information we seek. If it's not an NNPC official info it will always be disputable. olaidefat: All these 'sauces' information has become unreliable. Information from my 'sauce' in the past three months: (1) October: process being delayed because the current GMD doesn't have budget to accommodate new employees. (2) November: NNPC can't do anything now because of court case. (3) December: the whole process has been cancelled because someone allocated 200 slots to himself alone.
I will only rely on public information from the NNPC GMD. That will not be misleading!!! |

Exactement! tyakson99: You are right brother. As an engineer, if I have say maybe a skills in Auto repairs and I want to practice independently, you would expect that as a graduate, I would acquire and work with softwares, have good business plan, dress smart, write and speak big grammar (technical and nontechnical) with client while ensuring that the job is done well , . That is what would differentiate you from the normal artisans we have on the street. Even in abroad, this is how start up and little tech companies are formed o. Before you know it, you may start rendering services to big companies you even dreamt of working for and charging huge fees.
So for me as graduate, having these fundamental skills we classify as for uneducated can be life saving. Although, we know it easier said than done, but sometimes when you look at how many years some people have spent sending CVs and applying for different jobs without success, you will agree that, removing our pride and devoting time to learn this skills might have made some people independent and off the job market for long. Plus learning these skills doesn't stop you from applying for jobs, going for interviews, e.t.c, all we need to do is identity our interest, remove our pride, mingle with people that are not as educated as us and with prayers, the sky may become the starting point. |

Ofcourse I don't mean that but it's best to not speculate. If no information sir it best to keep those speculations and logical deductions on APL time to oneself. TheExclusive: No Sir. Your first statement is wrong. We cannot turn this thread to other than nnpc speculations. It's important we continue share ideas on logical processes involved in getting closure on the recruitment. Which is what I seek anyways. That way, we can keep track, monitor progress and see to the successful closure of the recruitment. Every other thing you wrote is correct. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Apply For 2019 NNPC Graduate Trainee And Experience Hire by hafeezsemzy: 11:11am On Dec 19, 2019 |
I do agree with you but the skills to get are not those of the artisans only. Except in cases where your career has no self learnable skills. Say for instance, an electrical engineer need practical skills in wiring and installation and lots more. Having artisan skills doesn't mean engineers should go be learning farming skills as most universities did to us back then. I laff at those who think generally that Nigeria education is world class because Nigerians do well outside the country. Of course we have exceptional universities and programs but generally we do so many unnecessary stuff. You have no idea how much we have to grind and grind and sometimes look stupid before our peers. More than 70 percent of the first class and second class students we studied together in Europe looked dull and stupid mostly at the first semester of study because we were still learning farming while our mates were designing systems already. This doesn't mean we don't do well. Because we have no other choice we must excel. tyakson99: I quite agree with you bro. I think it high time we graduate drop the notion that we must all work in the corporate setting. We should put our pride away as graduate of engineering or any other course and pick up some practical skills like tailoring, welding, plumbing, auto repairs e.t.c. we can start small and only God knows where he can take us to. I believe if an educated person e.g an engineer, acquires a skill and decides to passionate succeed on it. He will do it better than someone who had little or no education by way of innovation and before you know it, he might even an employer of labor. For me, I have made the decision to acquire this practical skills under an artisan for some months and I will even pay for the training. I have my own ideas and I won't let having a master degree get into my head. |

Can we just turn this thread to other than NNPC speculations? These are just speculations. As much as been hopeful we must be realistic knowing fully well not all will make it. I only pity those of us who think they are beyond rejection in the his recruitment and fail to make other good plans. Personally taking the idea step of not giving a f*** about what I can't control. Pray and hope but not tire my life success to it. Come whatever I and you will be fine. Believe but work harder. TheExclusive: Going by Napolitano's last post about completion of documentation process by HR, maybe, just maybe, the go ahead approval we are all waiting for, will come from the MoP, not GMD. Cavalier mentioned this in one of his posts
The next logical step now will be for the GMD to meet with the MoP to discuss getting MoP's approval to release Apl. When that conversation will take place, only time will tell. |

Let me just continue my language course like this. "We die here". Oh, Allah grant me and them the best with or without NNPC.
This Nairaland thread has been an amazing depiction of our human personality. Some days we are hopeful when seemingly genuine information comes. Other days we are hopeful even when the information is clearly false.
One general thing I have taken from here is that we hate factual information if it's against our want. We cast and bind in the name of what we believe in, just because we deny reality. Just like that Nigerian lady that prefers to be lied to than hear the truth.
All in all, we will be fine. I understand the reasons that drives these sentiments. The Nigeria place has few alternatives.
I find it amazing that a place outside Nigeria would pay you to learn a skill while seeking for jobs.
One day we will be in the position to change the narrative. Oh, God when it's our turn to be leaders in Nigeria, assist us to be just and honest. |
