Hello Ceejay80s, I have been an ardent although quiet follower of this thread from day one. I'm profusely grateful for what you have done for millions of Nigerians (including me) with this thread.
I want to do something about it for the first time. I sent you a PM about two days ago. Could you please reply to it ASAP.
Thanks. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Hage: 7:30pm On Apr 29, 2017 |
Nowenuse: The mistake you guys and even many make is that they take only the Federal govt statistics to represent Nigeria.
What about our state governments? They have their own statistics as well, which when added together will be larger. Ghana's 10 regions receive revenue allocations from the center too. If $11.4 billion federal revenues represent 56 percent of total income of the Federation (being FG's percentage share of the national pie), aggregate national revenues should hover around $20.357 billion. This is still woeful considering the size of our economy and population. |

O0XYGEN: You are just a fool. You don't know anything about Ghana so shut the Bleep up. The population of Accra is around 1m not 3m. You are so dumb and stupid. Our (Ghana) annual budget is $12 billion Your (nigeria) annual budget is $22 billion Now who is poorer? Your population is about 8 times that of Ghana but your annual budget is not even twice de annual budget of Ghana. Poor useless famine infested zoo. Very soon we will be opening a refugee camp for you guys in Ghana @Nowenuse, according to the CIA World Factbook, the revenue and expenditure components of the budgets of Nigeria and Ghana are: Nigeria Revenues : $11.4 billion Expenditures : $21.21 billion (2016 est.) *** GDP (official exchange rate): $415.1 billion (2015 est.) Ghana Revenues: $9.068 billion Expenditures: $11.55 billion (2016 est.) ***GDP (official exchange rate): $42.76 billion (2015 est.) Take a look, especially at the little difference in their revenues in comparison with their respective GDP and population figures. I think this is shameful on the part of Nigeria. It's mostly a waste of time defending this country. Political and fiscal federalism is the only way forward due to it's bias for productivity and competition among its constituent units. |

O0XYGEN: So just imagine. You have 36 states and the smallest generate $92b .Now share the rest to the remaining 35 and see how useless nigeria is. It's the same thing in South Africa. Gauteng (the smallest province), the province Johannesburg is the capital of, has about 33.7% of the economy of South Africa. |
Politics › Re: FG To Launch Dredging Of 162km Ajaokuta-Onitsha Waterways On Friday by Hage: 4:48pm On Apr 27, 2017 |
TabletMan: useless routes are to be dredged. what is the economic importance of this ajakota to Onitsha? instead of Nigerian government investing in electricity, they are awarding contract of no means to pack money in their private homes. You're just a product of this failed and devilish country who believed and worship only what you're most preferred useless politician vomits. In this 21st century you believe no amount of dredging in the river niger can allow the passing of big ships and vessels? while the Egyptians army are building their second canal that will ferry even the biggest vessel in the world.
Nigeria is just too bad and will be too hot for Satan to manage. Egypt's canal links the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea: two massive water bodies. This is not the case with River Niger. |

nabiz: CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT: (1) Donward reviw of the Salary and allowance of the politicians (2)Age limit for our politicians. (3)True federalism or state should be given more power than federal government (6) Implementation of some of the national confab report. (my personal opinion and may be rejected) u can add urs √√√ Introduce a 50% tax on the rich( those worth N1b and above) and the proceeds utilized to provide free health care, free education to university level, cheap mass transit, etc. for the masses. √√√ 50% of the value of loanable funds of all banks in a given year be reserved for the masses. √√√ Equal access to opportunities for the masses. |

Pedrop: Let our protest be based on cost of governance.
If any politician will not be comfortable with any stipulated salary in any position, then he has no need to contest for the position.
Let us make them know they are voted to serve the public and not themselves. Other possible demands could be: 1. Introduce a 50% tax on the rich( those worth N1b and above) and the proceeds utilized to provide free health care, free education to university level, cheap mass transit, etc. for the masses. 2. 50% of the value of loanable funds of all banks in a given year be reserved for the masses. 3. Equal access to opportunities for the masses. 4. Please add yours. |

Johnrake69: This is a follow up thread to the referenced thread below: https://www.nairaland.com/3210525/nigeria-finished-me#47274430.
Went through the aforementioned thread last night, and I really wept at the level of suffering that has been passed down to us by the elites.
Last night I couldn't sleep cos of the pain and agony. Then, a thought came to me that we really can make a positive change and that we are not outnumbered, but rather, we are just unorganized. A 10million Nigerian youths can make a difference. Can ten million Nigerian youths converge at National Assembly or the state house? And every youth should know that if we don't protest now, posterity will judge us, our children will so curse our existence. This is a struggle for the survival of the common man.
Personally I don't think I will be alive come next 50years. So, we should see this as a duty we owe generations unborn.
So I call upon all the vibrant youths that have already made a comment on the aforementioned thread to think about this proposal.
