Religion / Re: Nothing Matters More Than This!!! by hakeem4(m): 9:06pm On Feb 25 |
Matrix137: What are the differences pls?
You can quote a peer reviewed research to balance your stance?
God bless first of all a theory can never ever become a law. Gravity is a theory and a law. Same way evolution is a fact and the theory of evolution is called natural selection The difference between a scientific theory and a scientific law lies in their scope, purpose, and level of certainty within the scientific community:
1. **Scientific Theory**: - A scientific theory is a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world that is based on a body of evidence, observations, experimentation, and reasoning. - Scientific theories are comprehensive and explanatory frameworks that seek to describe and understand natural phenomena or processes. They are supported by a wide range of empirical evidence and have undergone rigorous testing and scrutiny by the scientific community. - Theories are dynamic and subject to modification or refinement as new evidence or observations become available. They are not fixed or absolute truths but represent the best current understanding of a particular phenomenon. - Examples of scientific theories include the theory of evolution, the theory of relativity, the cell theory, and the germ theory of disease.
2. **Scientific Law**: - A scientific law, also known as a scientific principle or principle of nature, is a concise and descriptive statement that summarizes a consistent pattern or relationship observed in nature. - Scientific laws describe what happens under certain conditions but do not explain why or how it happens. They are empirical generalizations derived from repeated observations or experimental data. - Unlike theories, scientific laws are usually simple, specific, and quantitative statements that describe a specific aspect of the natural world. They are often expressed as mathematical equations or formulas. - Scientific laws are considered to be universally true within a specific domain of applicability and are supported by extensive empirical evidence. They are often used as the foundation for developing theories or explaining natural phenomena. - Examples of scientific laws include Newton's laws of motion, Kepler's laws of planetary motion, the law of conservation of energy, and the laws of thermodynamics.
In summary, while both scientific theories and scientific laws are fundamental concepts in science, they serve different purposes: theories provide explanatory frameworks to understand natural phenomena, while laws describe observed patterns or relationships in nature. Both theories and laws play essential roles in advancing scientific knowledge and understanding the natural world.

Religion / Re: Nothing Matters More Than This!!! by hakeem4(m): 12:43pm On Feb 25 |
it seems you cannot differentiate a theory from law Matrix137: Think about the "future"
What will happen in the next 100 years?
Even if you can accurately guess, will you be alive to see it's manifestation?
A carnal mind will say "live fast die young", You "only live once (YOLO) "
But seriously, is that what life is all about?
Were we born into this world just to die?
Look above to the sky in a starry night, millions of stars stare back at you, look at the moon, sun, Animals. Etc. And nature in particular even tho it isn't perfect still causes some awe inspiring reaction to the limited human mind!
Now let's reach outer space đ
The Galaxies, solar systems, planetary alignment. Etc
The best of the best rocket scientists and astronauts with the most sophisticated spaceships and equipments hasn't been able to unravel it all.
Now according to the "educated" human mind, all this came from a first explosion known as the big bang
Charles Darwin came again with the theory of evolution explaining the"origin of species". Note that till today (February 4 2024) it's still a theory and not a law
You may ask, what is my point?
My point is, the more we try to explain away God in nature, the more we become confounded and perplexed by the very same nature as new things are discovered everyday without end
The West has drifted far away from God and now confounded.
An atheist may ignorantly ask, upon all our adherence to religion, look at our country, poverty everywhere, poor infrastructure etc
But does living in an advanced society guarantee true happiness?
LGBTQ
Abortion
Moral decadence of all sorts
Who are those championing it? And wants to force Africans to accept same? The West!
Highest suicide rate with all there sophistication and civility? The West!
They have an evil agenda that only the spiritually sound can clearly see
Life is not all about that as there is more to life!!
Jesus Christ is all that matters as in him we find true peace and a reason for still living no matter how dark the world becomes.
We are comforted with the fact that a kingdom is coming not made with human hands that is putting an end to all the evil influences of this world and an end to corruptibility with a true Leader (Jesus Christ)
We will now experience the true purpose of creation in a perfect form free from evil and the nuances of the enemy (Satan) as he will become nonexistent to cause any damage as the systems of this world will now become a system of our God and of his Christ.
There is no other way
Accept him today and walk with his ever present help in the person of the Holy Spirit and walk away from this evil world and welcome to the new perfect world đ Hallelujah!!!!

Crime / Man Arrested For Attacking LASBCA Officials With Charm by hakeem4(m): 7:14pm On Jan 04 |
A man has been arrested for attempting to hit officials of the Lagos State Building Control Agency LASBCA) with a charm, reports thegazellenews.com
This medium learnt that the incident took place on Tuesday, 2 January, 2024, while the agency officials were on routine monitoring exercise at Musical Village, Awolowo Road, Ikorodu.
Thegazellenews.com learnt that it took the intervention of the security personnel attached to the monitoring team before the man could be arrested and later handed over to the police for further investigation.
Reacting to the incident, the General Manager of LASBCA, Arch. Gbolahan Owodunni Oki condemned the increasing attack of officials of the agency on official duties.
He noted that no amount of intimidation or harassment will make the agency go back on its mandate in ensuring safe and secure buildings across the state.
âThese assailants not only obstruct our staff but also hold them hostage for hours, these acts of hooliganism will not deter us from carrying out our duties,â he said.
The General Manager while elaborating on the challenges faced daily by LASBCA staff stated, âThankfully, we managed to overcome these attacks without any casualties. Our staffâs resilience and quick responses have played a crucial role in overpowering the assailants and preventing more severe consequences. These are the kinds of challenges we faces daily in our bid to ensure that buildings in the State are safe and fit for habilitationâ.
Arc. Oki called on the general public to understand and support the agency in its mission to curb the menace of building collapses across the state noting that incidents of harassment and attacks tend to jeopardize the agency monitoring activities and can potentially pose significant threats to the public.
He reiterated the dedication of the agency in maintaining and enforcing building standards in Lagos State even in the face of adversity.
He urged the citizens to collaborate in ensuring the safety and integrity of structures that will foster a secure environment for all.
The assailant has since been handed over to security operatives for prosecution.

So when we assemble to talk about Nigeria, Nigeria does not exist eh?
You and I and every sane person knows Nigeria exist. But if I ask you to give me proof of existence of god or Sango, youâd only be telling me folklores and different experiences how god healed you or fed you. So you can see the existence of Nigeria as fact, whilst god is just a hypothetical being
quote author=hakeem4 post=127676111] You didnât even talk about the omnipresent nature of god. If he exists and heâs omnipresent to be everywhere at the same time. So we donât need to gather.
What do you need His Omnipresence for? Do you not already hide to steal, kill and fuc someone's wife? You are already doing what you want to do so why bother that God Saw it?

Did you understand my post? You want an argument for no reason. We are not assembling to meet God rather we are assembling for advantage of being together.
Our assembly or disassembly does not validate or invalidate the evidence for God. These two issues have nothing to do with each other. The OP wanted to know why we assemble and not a proof of whether the person in whose name we assemble exists or not.
Many assemble for many reasons. Some assemble to have orgies. Some assemble to hunt and kill innocent people. Some assemble to meditate and channel spirit beings (and I wonder why people don't attack these folks). Some assemble to engage in customary and traditional rituals (like the Oro). Some assemble to tell fables while drunk. Since the start of Christianity, faithfuls, sceptics and seekers have assembled in the name of the LORD Jesus and it is their right to do so. You can call it whatever you want but we assemble in the name of the LORD Jesus. i do not want to argue you with you cause you are not saying anything tangible. The question says why do we need to got to church to worship him since god is omnipresent. and you are telling me about various gathering. you will just keep running in circles, and you will come back with an empty answer |
Religion / Re: If God Is Omnipresent, Why Do We Go To Church ? by hakeem4(m): 9:07am On Dec 29, 2023 |

...because we are not omnipresent. We assemble to form the church. We assemble to bond. We assemble to help each other grow. We assemble to form a united front against the darkness. We assemble to combine our resources and work the works of our Father. We assemble because we know that "a three fold cord is not easily broken". But we assemble at the cinema to watch spider man does that mean that spider man exists? No! All it means is that some people just gather together on Sunday sing and listen to man proselytise and go back home. You didnât even talk about the omnipresent nature of god. If he exists and heâs omnipresent to be everywhere at the same time. So we donât need to gather. 2 Likes |
