Crime › Man Arrested For Attacking LASBCA Officials With Charm by hakeem4(op): 7:14pm On Jan 04, 2024 |
A man has been arrested for attempting to hit officials of the Lagos State Building Control Agency LASBCA) with a charm, reports thegazellenews.com
This medium learnt that the incident took place on Tuesday, 2 January, 2024, while the agency officials were on routine monitoring exercise at Musical Village, Awolowo Road, Ikorodu.
Thegazellenews.com learnt that it took the intervention of the security personnel attached to the monitoring team before the man could be arrested and later handed over to the police for further investigation.
Reacting to the incident, the General Manager of LASBCA, Arch. Gbolahan Owodunni Oki condemned the increasing attack of officials of the agency on official duties.
He noted that no amount of intimidation or harassment will make the agency go back on its mandate in ensuring safe and secure buildings across the state.
“These assailants not only obstruct our staff but also hold them hostage for hours, these acts of hooliganism will not deter us from carrying out our duties,” he said.
The General Manager while elaborating on the challenges faced daily by LASBCA staff stated, “Thankfully, we managed to overcome these attacks without any casualties. Our staff’s resilience and quick responses have played a crucial role in overpowering the assailants and preventing more severe consequences. These are the kinds of challenges we faces daily in our bid to ensure that buildings in the State are safe and fit for habilitation”.
Arc. Oki called on the general public to understand and support the agency in its mission to curb the menace of building collapses across the state noting that incidents of harassment and attacks tend to jeopardize the agency monitoring activities and can potentially pose significant threats to the public.
He reiterated the dedication of the agency in maintaining and enforcing building standards in Lagos State even in the face of adversity.
He urged the citizens to collaborate in ensuring the safety and integrity of structures that will foster a secure environment for all.
The assailant has since been handed over to security operatives for prosecution. https://www.thegazellenews.com/news/man-arrested-for-attacking-lasbca-officials-with-charm-agency-gm-laments-frequent-attacks-on-its-officials-photos/

Dtruthspeaker: So when we assemble to talk about Nigeria, Nigeria does not exist eh?
You and I and every sane person knows Nigeria exist. But if I ask you to give me proof of existence of god or Sango, you’d only be telling me folklores and different experiences how god healed you or fed you. So you can see the existence of Nigeria as fact, whilst god is just a hypothetical being
quote author=hakeem4 post=127676111] You didn’t even talk about the omnipresent nature of god. If he exists and he’s omnipresent to be everywhere at the same time. So we don’t need to gather.
What do you need His Omnipresence for? Do you not already hide to steal, kill and fuc someone's wife? You are already doing what you want to do so why bother that God Saw it? |
Christianity Etc › Re: If God Is Omnipresent, Why Do We Go To Church ? by hakeem4(op): 1:43pm On Dec 29, 2023 |
efficiencie: Did you understand my post? You want an argument for no reason. We are not assembling to meet God rather we are assembling for advantage of being together.
Our assembly or disassembly does not validate or invalidate the evidence for God. These two issues have nothing to do with each other. The OP wanted to know why we assemble and not a proof of whether the person in whose name we assemble exists or not.
Many assemble for many reasons. Some assemble to have orgies. Some assemble to hunt and kill innocent people. Some assemble to meditate and channel spirit beings (and I wonder why people don't attack these folks). Some assemble to engage in customary and traditional rituals (like the Oro). Some assemble to tell fables while drunk. Since the start of Christianity, faithfuls, sceptics and seekers have assembled in the name of the LORD Jesus and it is their right to do so. You can call it whatever you want but we assemble in the name of the LORD Jesus. i do not want to argue you with you cause you are not saying anything tangible. The question says why do we need to got to church to worship him since god is omnipresent. and you are telling me about various gathering. you will just keep running in circles, and you will come back with an empty answer |
Christianity Etc › Re: If God Is Omnipresent, Why Do We Go To Church ? by hakeem4(op): 9:07am On Dec 29, 2023 |
efficiencie: ...because we are not omnipresent. We assemble to form the church. We assemble to bond. We assemble to help each other grow. We assemble to form a united front against the darkness. We assemble to combine our resources and work the works of our Father. We assemble because we know that "a three fold cord is not easily broken". But we assemble at the cinema to watch spider man does that mean that spider man exists? No! All it means is that some people just gather together on Sunday sing and listen to man proselytise and go back home. You didn’t even talk about the omnipresent nature of god. If he exists and he’s omnipresent to be everywhere at the same time. So we don’t need to gather. |

micxwell: Direct actually. What's the first step you'll advice for me? I want to get it all done latest March ending.
What do you advise I start with right now pls? The proposer forms and certificate of experience; some said I should calm down till next year and wait till they pay next year's dues. What do you think? Well I’d advise you to go through NSE cause it’s cheaper. If you can do NSE by February by march you’d do your Coren. But if you rush to do Coren direct you will still spend the same amount as someone going through NSE |
