Politics / Re: Sowore Knocks Peter Obi For Inaugurating ‘pepper-grinding Machine’ To Pump Water by Hakeem66: 11:00am On Apr 12
Cantonese:
Let’s agree with Sowore that Obi inaugurated pepper grinding machine.

One can ask Sowore if with all his years of activism and wealth from living in America, if he has provided any social service to people of his community.

Sowore must tell us if there is electricity to power electric pumping machines in the communities provided the boreholes.

Sowore should tell us if solar powered boreholes can be longer lasting than the pepper grinding machines. In case of faults, who will fix the solar powered ones, and at what cost?

Sowore must tell us why having campaigned during the last elections in the north, he could not remember to provide such amenities for the suffering people, who have been without portable water for uncountable years.

Why has Sowore not asked the leaders of such communities what they have been doing all these years with the allocations received?

No common sense with Sowore.

Are the beneficiaries not enjoying their water so far? Have they complained?

Jealousy and envy will not let some like Sowore have some peace of mind. It is very clear that Obi knows the needs of the citizens and he tackles them. They are worried that everyday Obi’s popularity rating rises. They said “no structure”. Obi matched Tinubu and BAT vote for vote at the last election, to their greatest surprise.

For those youths who support those who daily reap them off and put them in misery, you may continue in your hardship.
well said, I have nothing to add.

Will Obi build this kind of boreholes for his Agulu village? NO

So the boreholes are an insult....he mean's those people don't deserve good things of life like a standard borehole.
What type of water were they drinking before he came to their rescue? This is the question you will ask yourself. If you have been living in a mud house and somebody decided to build a brick bungalow for you, would you be angry that he didn't build a duplex for you? Please stop all this unnecessary talk and appreciate the man's effort. He did that for a region that's not his own. They have thousands of people who can do the same, but they neglected them.

Politics / Re: Why Peter Obi Should Not Run In 2027 by Hakeem66: 11:06am On Mar 29
gidgiddy:
Three Reasons Why I Will Advise Peter Obi Not To Run In 2027

I have known Peter Obi a long time, his village is just a stone's throw from mine. As a successful international businessman and billionaire, he returned from the UK in 2002 to aspire to be Governor of Anambra, which he did after a lengthy legal battle. Its not everything Obi did as Governor of Anambra that I'm happy with, but most Anambrarians will tell you he left the State much better than he met it. As 2027 approaches, no doubt Peter Obi will be under pressure to run again for President. If I were him, I won't run, for three reasons

1. 2027 has already been rigged. Let Obi learn from not just the last Presidential elections he ran in, but from subsequent elections in Imo, Kogi and Bayelsa, where elections were rigged with impunity. The by-elections were even worse. The 2027 elections will be brazenly rigged, and Peter Obi will be told to "go to court". Obi should also remember that he will be running against an incumbent who believes in "grabbing power and running with it", and has state resources at his disposal. So Peter Obi should spare himself the trouble over elections that the results have already been written

2. Even if Peter Obi manages to navigate the treacherous waters of Nigerian politics and wins, his troubles will just be starting. Obi does not know the Nigeria he wants to be President of, he does not know that 'one Nigeria' does not exist, and that some people will always see him as nothing more than an Igbo man and Christian. Those people are going to going to use propaganda, deciet, lies, insecurity etc to sabotage his regime from day one. No matter how well intentioned Obi might be, every move he makes will be turned into an ethnic, religious or ideological issue. Those who cannot bear an Igbo man being President will come after his regime like a hurricane. The result is that Obi will spend 4 years there fighting, if he is not thrown out before then, and achieve nothing.

3. Obi once said that Nigeria is like a car with a knocked engine, he was right. No matter how good a driver may be, he won't get far in a car with a knocked engine. Has Obi ever heard of a 'good Nigerian President'? No such thing has ever existed, or will ever exist. The driver is only as good as the engine of the car. No Nigerian President can do well. We are too divided along ethnic, religious and ideological lines to build a progressive nation. Everyone only talks about who will be the driver, few care about the engine, yet expect the car to take them to heaven. Who is fooling who? Some people like me advocate that we forget the driver, the engine and the car, disembark, and go our seperate ways. Some say no

My advice to Obi is to forget this cursed office of President and focus on his philanthropy. Obi will touch more lives and help more people this way. Until a time when people start taking the engine far more seriously than they take who will be the driver, the office of President will destroy whoever goes in there, and Obi should stay away from it.

My 2 cents

Politics / Re: President Bola Tinubu, it’s time to release Nnamdi Kanu. by Hakeem66: 5:41pm On Mar 19
seunmsg:

In the overall interest of peace, unity and national cohesion, I’m calling for the immediate and conditional release of Nnamdi Kanu. The only condition being the complete renunciation of all kinds of violent agitation for Biafra.

When Tinubu was sworn in, he inherited some political prisoners like Kanu, Sowore, Igboho etc. while Sowore and Igboho are now free, Kanu is still in detention. While I’m not a fan of Kanu and is bigoted and violent agitation, I won’t deny the fact that he’s a freedom fighter to his people.

Today, a lot of criminals have taken over IPOB agitation in the SE. In fact, Monday is now a compulsory holiday for everyone in that region this must stop. Mr. President should call the leaders of Ohaneze Ndigbo and offer to release him to them on the condition that he will renounce all kinds of violent agitation. This is the only way to restore sanity in the SE.

PS: This is my personal opinion.
You said the truth. I even watched where he condemned the atrocities being committed by Ekpa boys.
Am thinking Ekpa is not working for MNK but for his own selfish gain and he has convinced many ignorant IPOB to trust him.
If the FG freed MNK, many hidden things will be open and many top Igbo leaders will be in trouble.

He's a super brilliant child, so take care of him specially sir
I told my wife to warned his teacher or report to the school authority, you know women, she even supported the teacher because she hates lefties. Am not always at home so whenever I brought the issue of his poor performance, she said he will later cope. If I asked my son he will explain everything to me that his mum also reprimanded him at home for using left.
Family / How My Son Transformed From Left Hand To Ambidextrous by Hakeem66: 1:11pm On Mar 05
My 11-year-old son correctly uses both of his hands.
When he was born, we discovered his preference for using his left hand for tasks like picking up and holding items. If you ask him to greet you, he will extend his left arm. As he grew, we also noticed that he kicks the ball with his left foot. The fact that he is left-footed is not a concern, but his left-handedness, which my wife dislikes, especially during eating and when taking something from us or elders. But I didn't mind because I admire lefties
The biggest problem for us was when he started school; we didn't realize that his teacher was correcting him for writing with his left hand. This affected his performance as he found it difficult to write and was slower. For example, when he wanted to write the number 7, he would face it in the opposite direction, as with alphabets like B,C, D etc. Due to this, he performed poorly during those years as he tried to adjust.
To make a long story short, my son now writes with both hands quickly and with good handwriting. He said he can start writing with his left hand and finish with his right. He performs tasks with both hands correctly, but we still notice that he prefers his left hand, especially when doing something that requires more energy.
He even eats eba with both hands, depending on his sitting position or how he feels. We were amazed about the transformation but still surprised how he can be using both effectively.

Politics / Re: Countries With Similar Or Worse Power Supply Than Nigeria! (Surprising List) by Hakeem66: 7:46am On Mar 04
Max24:
Let's face realistic expectations. Let's know exactly what happening in other countries so we don't give ourselves with high blood pressure. OP made some valid points. For example, people had often unfairly compared us with a small country like Ghana. Indeed, it is easier to power a smaller population than big one. But Nigeria can do much better if not for past vision less leaders that we had and fantastically corrupt politicians. I am looking to this current govt to break the jink of power and other issues. Irrespective of what anyone might say, Tinubu remains the most visionary leader Nigeria has had and Lagos has proven that with it's steady progress when compared to other states. Lagos would have been on 24/7 electricity since 1999 if not for envy. Tinubu was the first to attempt to do IPP for Lagos in 1999 but was frustrated by the Federal govt who said you must feed whatever you produce into the national grid. Now that he is at the Federal himself ,I expect fast electrification of the country. He only needs little time to stabilize his govt then the goodies will start rolling in.
tell me more stories.
